I like that he showed a part of a session that they didn’t get scored on. Shows that you can be better in areas you already think you’re good in
I personally think this is a rule that applies to higher ranks more and I am talking like past GC2, where rotation is slightly different, similar to also how rotation slightly changes in 3s as well in SSL or like pro-play. Most of the fundamentals stay the same but cutting rotations becomes more and more common as pressuring players as soon as possible becomes more and more important the higher you rank up. It's necessary to avoid weird rotations where multiple players ends up covering the same options, so after a certain point you just need to challenge or you back off and make sure your teammate challenges for you, someone has to just challenge though before you get in the awkward zone, which is why this play CAN be good especially when you consider that you aren't in comms, making your intention obvious by chasing down the guy will bait out a play and make the last mans job easier. Once again, this only applies to higher ranks once that last man is capable of reading your challenge and realizing you are baiting and play for that accordingly. Below GC, your teammates will most likely flame you for this and just call you a ballchaser and annoying because they cannot read your intentions as much as a higher ranked player would and it isn't a viable strategy because of that. 2v2 is just 1v1 but taking turns and your speed of the turns increases as you rank up, which is why in certain situations, depending on your rank, cutting rotation is in fact better to avoid getting into situations where both players cover same options. This is less of an issue in lower ranks because players fail to notice the flaw and take advantage of it but in higher ranks, you will be easily punished for it.
Yeah in C2/C3 you just get called a ball chaser and people rotate like they’re playing 3s but it just doesn’t work out most of the time.
I used to be a 3s main so this is something I noticed myself doing when I got into playing 2s. I still catch myself doing it and that’s why I can recognise when someone else makes the same mistakes.

Nah it’s literally advice for how to rank up PAST c1/c2/c3. It’s always really good advice for anyone to LEARN about how to make the game easier for your teammates. And you do that by seeing if your teammate can make a challenge or not. If they’re too far away from the ball, you have to challenge for them so they have an easier save. Otherwise it’s like saying “I’m ok with my teammate being alone on defense every time the other team has the ball. Even if I can make his life easier.”
@@Thatwhiteblackkid It does not make it easier for your teammates most of the times in those ranks, because majority of players actually ARE the ones who commit too often and when you do it as well, they will find it annoying and call you ballchaser in the end, ironic. And oh, they hit ff if you get scored on once because of your aggresive challenge. Idk what game you play but people at these ranks hate players like this while being one like this all the time. I personally found playing passively to be best method to get to GC1, following Lethamyr's and Flakes advice from their series. Players at ranks below GC, they over commit like crazy and love to jump at the ball all the time, so it's usually a safer bet for you to play the passive role, except for the very rare occasions where you get a player that is a brick. The passive play-style forces you to learn to play in a way that covers more options and be more intentional about your touches, you will begin to realize how much opponents and your teammate is doing nothing but throwing the ball away, you will notice even more of this if you play a lot of 1s. Everyone tries to play at supersonic speed all the time when it is the exact habbit that is stopping them from being able to read the game well at these ranks and realize how little mechanic or speed is actually required to score a goal when you just let ppl over commit but not yourself. Just slow down, and the game will become easier. You don't realize how many mistakes you are making when you try to play "fast" until you watch a replay review of yourself. It’s way more important to have boost and be facing the right direction at these ranks than to be moving fast. Trying to play fast, it’s in fact most of the time making you a slower player because of how often you are out of the play but do not realize it. Playing fast on your screen is different than looking fast on opponent’s screen, pro player Rapid has a great video on this. You look fast by always trying to be active in the play, always just being there, collecting mini pads, and covering options. Eventually the speed of the ball will increase to the point where in order to "always be there" you must be moving at supersonic as much as possible but you must learn to walk before you can run. You can't expect to be playing at supersonic speed and making all the right decisions if you don't begin with slowing down and being more intentional in the first place. Your teammates should not be left in a 1v1 or 2v1 too often to begin with, regardless of your rank.

Me: implements this advice
Team mate :
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
(Team): Defending…
i was going to say this haha
also team mate: learn to rotate
It’s situational
@@NLambo88 yeah as is everything in Rl, more so highlighting the mentality of most players in lower ranks which i am also in.
Yeah, people are braindead
Im higher ranked and it's good advice but at lower ranks your teammates will expect you to go once and rotate back immediatelyb
Keep it up love the content
Yeah, double committing on defense especially when I get knocked out of goal is the worst.
Thx hopefully this will finally get me outa gold and into plat
Can't you just go straight into diamond 💀
@@moheb_stars hopefully but u gotta go through plat before d8amond
I dont think u need this advice in gold
Maybe diamond+ cus u can rely a bit more on team8s
To get out of gold just wait for the opponents to choke or do side passes
@@Zxxyn22 ok thx for the tip but I am cruising past it I play with my friend who plays 1s a lot but not many 2s or 3s
Thank you for help
It’s like he was just expecting to get scored on
"But if he's better he would've scored there." 💀
luckily he can't clip but if he's better he would've scored that 💀💀
I am plat, and even I would think that is the most logical play. And to be fair, I know how trash plat is, most teammates do understand as well, and not because they are ballchasing. The whole stranded goalline, is even in plat almost always a goal, if not the first, then the rebound, since at my level, that situation always leads to an double commit.
