"It was SO sexist, the way you were treated during the trial. But let's talk about your hair styles. Also, tell us, were you and Christopher Darden lovers?? Are your kids watching the TV series now??" LOL
What was sexist was her not being treated with respect or taken seriously because of her gender. She was bullied in court and criticized for not appearing "feminine" enough. They told her to change her hair, to wear skirts and the worst most condescending thing you can say to a women; "smile". Its insulting and perverted. As another female the interviewer can have girl talk with her and address her "controversial" hair in a jokey manner. Her last two questions were legitimate. She and her partner had an intriguing, loving and supportive dynamic for two associates. The last question is valid and not sexist in the slightest. She was simply asked if her kids are interested in viewing a show that depicts a very difficult time in their mother's life. I don't know if I could.

The ones I feel sorry for are the children, not only have they lost their mother, he wS stupid enough to get into more trouble later on after being aquitted. No thought for his children there. So if it's hard for the prosecutors to see the show imagine what it's like for Sidney and Justin

Marcia left a blown up picture of Nicole's slashed throat on her wall when Denise Brown visited her. Denise broke into tears and all Marcia said was "I forgot that was up. It's become like furniture to me." If you want to root for a cold, heartless bitch Hillary is about to be POTUS.
yeah you have to be a hero to defend a racist cop like Mark Fuhrman. I can't believe she will put somebody with that type of character on the witness stand
+Malcolmx2Pac She's never defended Fuhrman. She's always admitted he was a racist. She's only defended the evidence. Unfortunately, she chose the wrong cop to present it.
R U kidding about incompetence? The prosecution had all the evidence it neededto convict except for a video of OJ doing it. But with that jury, even a video wouldnt have been enough. The cops & Rodney King, the riots beforehand, the racecard, the sexism, the media all blew it for Marcia.
Don’t forget the LAPD was known for being racist towards African Americans. Smh. That made the case that much more difficult, especially because Mark Fuhrman were involved, a known racist. However I do believe in the evidence, and the DNA. OJ definitely did it!
I finish watching it on Netflix and oh man I was so into it I finish watching in 3 days but it was a good gooooood. I still wonder if Marsha dated Chris lol and yes I had always believe it was oj and still think he did it. Sarah Paulson play her right on point
So great. I love the way she said that although justice was not served, she gave it her all. I think Nicole would be grateful. We are too! To a brighter, honest future.
Agree! I'll be 41 in November and I watched this case when it happened. Amazes me how Nicole and Ron never got justice OJ did it. He'll get whats coming to him when he meets GOD at the gate. RIP Nicole and Ron
@@terrysgamingzone1390 In a way they did get justice, because the Goldmans' civil suit indirectly led to the robbery in Vegas. OJ wanted to steal back his sports memorabilia that the law had forced him to give up because of the civil trial. Nicole and Ron got some degree of justice.
Judge Ito got into trouble for referring to her as Marcia, which he did do if you watch the trial, but always referred to the men as “Mr” and it was not good.
I've watched a lot of her recent interviews on UA-cam. She's a charming, intelligent, and articulate woman. She moved through all of this with grace. I think she's great.
Makes me sick Clark and Darden making a quick buck from releasing books based on their incompetence following on from what should have been an open and closed case for the prosecution. Sexism is a red herring the bottom line was Darden and Clark did a poor job because O.J was obviously guilty, all the evidence pointed to that fact and there was and subsequently never been any other credible suspect. Why do you think the LAPD closed the case after the trial.
I didn’t see the show until about three years after it came out. I have to say hands-down it was really good. I was 15/16 years old when everything happened so I didn’t grow up knowing too much about OJ Simpson. I didn’t watch the naked gun films and I wasn’t a football fan. But watching it now I can appreciate what happened a lot more and oh my god so riveting so powerful so dramatic. But with all the conversation about the case I just have to say one thing. The only two people I really care about and I think often get overlooked is Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. May they both Rest In Peace
We all know most people think OJ did it. But someone has to ask about Furhman admitting on tape to setting up black men with white women (just like OJ and Nicole). That is real hate. People keep saying that is dealing on race, but I don't see it. Your star witness admitted to that, that has to be relevant.
***** EVIDENCE WAS PLANTED, period point blank. I am not saying that OJ is not a murderer. I am not saying OJ is innocent. I am not saying OJ did not do it. I am saying that cops planting evidence then pled the fifth to planting evidence. By the standard of the law, that is reasonable doubt.
***** And there lies the problem. First of all, You could call it incompetence if you what. I call it planting evidence, evil, wickedness and incompetence. But the standard IS NOT GUILTY. It is GUILTY BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. Do not change the standard. Second, I understand you want racism to be over with, I don't agree with you but I get it. But I am 39 and grew up in Southern California during Rodney King, OJ, Crack, etc. I ask that you try to understand and not disregard black people, who for some crazy reason, believe OJ is innocent. Those people aren't stupid, but their experience guides how they think. Please watch a documentary on the Grim Sleeper or The Seven Five. Your world and their world may be very different.
Yeah man, I am black, offend me any way you can.Yes, have at it. Give it to me. This is what makes you happy because you are a miserable person. Your good life doesn't exist without comparing it to the have-nots. And the true colors come out. Racist, bigoted, etc. Yeah, that is who you are. Light over dark has always been the way of the world. I shouldn't know you have 800k in your account and your house is huge, but I do because that defines you. But that means relatively little without the have- nots to compare it to.
i have to say at first without the facts i thought the prosecution choked and lost an unlossable trial but after i watched the show and did a boatload of research i see now that marcia clark was a very smart and brave woman that took on the world and did a lot more than any regular lawyer could ever do. to work on a case of this caliber so well and at the same time deal with all the sexist and personal attacks is just amazing. you can clearly see even today from marcia and chris's interviews of how deeply and emotionally involved they were.
it was so good, i felt so much emotion from sarah paulson - i feel bad for marsha there are lawyers their whole life that would never have a case like that she did her best with almost an all black jury. DNA was still confusing and even though it was everywhere police contaminated the scene, fuhrman came off like the furor didn't help.
i have never heard anyone say that leather shrinks when it gets wet. wet with blood, yes i think so. also trying to pull a glove over a latex glove could prove difficult.
She was a brutal pick for the prosecutor in this case. Anyone going through a nasty divorce/custody battle should not have been in a high profile case like this one.
this is a fantastic interview! so many of these morning shows have cringe-worthy interviews full of nothing. This held my interest, love savannah's questions, marcia's eloquent responses. I liked this tv series as well!
She's a sweet lady, but when, at the end, she said "I left nothing on the table" I thought, yes, you did leave something on the table. You didn't bring the stupid Bronco chase, on the freeway, into the prosecution's presentation. Dear Marcia, why didn't you?
I always wondering why they never brought in the bloody shoe prints during the criminal trial. Those shoe prints were made by some custom shoe he owned - less than 300 were ever made. I forget the name.
She didn't bring in the eye witness that identified OJ driving his bronco and almost losing control in the intersection and yelling at her for it. Also, that witness sold her story to a tabloid show but it didn't mean it didn't happen. The jurors were sequestered by that time and it didn't matter.
She was given a job to try to O.J. Simpson in prison. She tried her best, but the jury found him not guilty. She seems to have moved on with her life and leave the trial in the past. Same, for me,I let God judge O.J. Simpson . I do not look back on the trial and I do not watch the new show. I have also moved on with my life.
I thought she was a strong woman who gave it her all. She made women and girls feel like we could do anything against a powerful team of men. I think they should do some sort of double jeapordy though where you can retry the guy for homicide hands down. That goes for other cases such as Casey Anthony and so many others.
Everyone in the world knows the butcher got free because of a joke of a justice system and stupid jurors who did not understand DNA or forensic evidence! How the lawyers who defended him sleep at night ,still escapes me. In every normal country with all that INSANELY overwhelming forensic evidence, the slaughterer would have been sentenced to life prison. But in America, the racial circus and everything that had nothing to do with the two innocents murdered, came to play. We in other countries watched lauging via tears ,disgusted and dismayed . This case was a sham of US justice.
Did you watch the trial?? Or just Nancy Grace? That jury absolutely 100% made the correct decision. EVERYONE in that DA’s office, including Marcia knew OJ didn’t do it alone(or hired someone and was double-crossed). Marcia was too stubborn and rolled with her extremely flawed case, and they got exactly what they deserved.
Yeah the whole show honestly did an incredible job of casting. Not only were they incredible actors, but most of them looked exactly like the real people (Judge Ito, Marcia, Darden, Johnny Cochran, and even Robert Kardashian kind of)
+Malcolmx2Pac That's just like your opinion, man. OJ said, "I know what Marcia did with the 4.2 million- it's all in her face!" which was hilarious. OJ is my second favorite murderer after the Iceman.
Olive Hue But he was kind of old though. So maybe not him and someone younger, like Jason, could have done it. The only way we can really know is if Jason actually speak out which he has not yet done so. Jason, I think, can end this OJ debate.
I'm glad that Marcia is calling out William Dear's 'Jason-Did-It' theory. I read his book and watched the BBC documentary on it and she's right: there is no evidence at all supporting it. Pure speculation and vague insinuations. It's not fair to Jason at all.
And who murdered Nicole and Ron?. I think it was a person who has long experience and ability with knives like chefs, soldiers, doctors, butchers and serial killers. Jason Simpson fits with the profile: he is a chef, he has rage issues and he had love/hate relationship with his stepmother Nicole. That's why I think Jason is a suspect of this double murder.
@@carolinagonzalezs. None of Jason's dna, blood, or anything pointing to Jason has been found at the crime scene. It's a ridiculous theory. OJ loved himself too much to take the rap for his son, if that had been the case. He might have hired a Dream Team for Jason, but he absolutely wouldn't have taken the blame for him.
the trial went the way it went because of the judge, it was all the judge not the jury not the racism. The judge allowed the defense favouritism and present material that would not be allowed or considered in normal court because the defense just presented irrelevant material or unsunstainable
Judge Ito was an arrogant SOB and showed far too much favoritism towards the defendant. Marcia Clark did the best job she could possibly do under the very difficult circumstances.
Watching the trial, I always noticed how tired she looked! It was a long trial and she had two young children and she probably wasn't getting enough sleep, plus the stress of the trial. She looks so good now, better than she did twenty-five years ago!
I think from hearing Nicole's family & all the cops Marcia was extremely overwhelmed. I also think Darden as well was put in an impossible spot as people actually felt he was a " traitor " was even booed in his church at the time. Obviously & sadly race was constantly a factor & the victims were just foot noted for the whole spectacle. In the end oj getting off made all his old Brentwood upscale white golfing friends shun him. In a way he did get hatred to the point that I believe like most in Vegas he was given a huge sentence when everyone else who flipped on him got nothing. As much as the judge in Vegas claimed it wasn't payback it was. He got 33 years for it. He got put after 9 on parole. So at least he did wind up getting time. Carl Douglas said it was so sad that oj was the luckiest man ever to get off & he wound up blowing it by committing a crime & I don't blame all the guys that flipped. Stand by oj & get years or zero time? The whole thing is just sad esp given the whole case should have been tried in Santa Monica where it happened. The d.a. obviously wanted a l.a jury so if they convicted no riots. It's sad race was brought in from the start actually by Robert Shapiro who later seemed to blame it on Cochrane & Bailey only as Shapiro always had a great relationship ship w/ the cops & the d.a. etc. He was hated as the case sadly wasn't about just a man killing his wife & friend but a black man vs the lapd or even more bizarre a separate satellite trial of the defense vs mark furhman. The only person charged & lost his job & convicted was mark furhman for perjury. So it really became during the trial saying terrible racist things on tape 9 years b4 wad worse than a double murder. Ito I blame the most b/c a murder trial w/ a non celebrity goes 3 weeks tops. This went 11 months! The jury only deliberated over a few hrs cause they wanted to go home. Also ito should not have let a lot of stuff in or testimony to go so long. One witness the medical examiner was on the stand for 11 days! Also ito allowed during closing the defense to object like 70 times. Ur not supposed to object during closing which he said every time unless something crazy is said. It was obvious the defense kept objecting to stop the momentum the prosecution had during closing.
You can Beat It, Mug it, Hide It, Ignore It, But the truth will never die. What a state of immaturity, that had descended on this nation as a result of confronting the realities of this trial, We knew what we wanted and we had to have it. The Bathwater thrown out as a residue of this trial have become a water supply to the sober.
I have nothing but respect for Marcia Clark. Looking back, it was definitely not easy to be a woman in that room battling against the so called The Dream Team. She was treated poorly but she still did her best. Too bad the jury purposefully made it a political vote.

@@melaniegonzalez3664 Trust me, they were swinging from the shandler's! If they didn't "dilly dally" she would've said NO
It's her own business! Why does everyone want to know everything about people's love life. She has every right to keep it to herself. Good for her for respecting her own privacy, and not giving in to everyone who wants to know her own personal business.
i really like her...she's so articulate and seems very sweet...
The ones I feel sorry for are the children, not only have they lost their mother, he wS stupid enough to get into more trouble later on after being aquitted. No thought for his children there. So if it's hard for the prosecutors to see the show imagine what it's like for Sidney and Justin
I've never understood why people think it's such a tragedy for the children to lose the parent that was the murderer.
Yes the fact the kids who were 8 and 5 years old could have stumbled on that awful crime scene.... 😢 nicoles dog Kato got out and brought neighbors to the crime scene before the kids could see it. Bad enough losing a parent like that but imagine if they were the ones who found them...
Judge Ito doesn't get nearly enough blame for how awful of a job he did. You could argue he is more to blame than the jurors.
I agree. He lost total control of that courtroom.
P.T. Barnum said it best."nobody ever went broke underestimating the gullibility of the paying public".
Look at how they elected an orange freak president for further proof
she's my new inspiration !
redwhitentrue damn how'd you know?
Marcia left a blown up picture of Nicole's slashed throat on her wall when Denise Brown visited her. Denise broke into tears and all Marcia said was "I forgot that was up. It's become like furniture to me."
If you want to root for a cold, heartless bitch Hillary is about to be POTUS.
+Mike Ansley Huh? :S
+1Moltooo like you I'm not sure what Hillary has to do with OJ Simpson
+Jonathan Jackson I shed a single tear for your reading comprehension. You're welcome.
what a brave woman, love her curly hair,
yeah you have to be a hero to defend a racist cop like Mark Fuhrman. I can't believe she will put somebody with that type of character on the witness stand
Mark Fuhrman is a pig, I agree, she did make a mistake putting him on the stand regarding that Christopher Darden was against her decision.
maria velazquez smart decision
+Malcolmx2Pac She's never defended Fuhrman. She's always admitted he was a racist. She's only defended the evidence. Unfortunately, she chose the wrong cop to present it.
lollipoplullabies exactly. By hearing somebody so racist find the evidence that made the jury disregard anything Marcia had 2 say
R U kidding about incompetence? The prosecution had all the evidence it neededto convict except for a video of OJ doing it. But with that jury, even a video wouldnt have been enough. The cops & Rodney King, the riots beforehand, the racecard, the sexism, the media all blew it for Marcia.
+midget jerus I think it was just the LAPD. With a decent police force the other stuff would have not mattered in the long run.
The bag....where's the bag?
Don’t forget the LAPD was known for being racist towards African Americans. Smh. That made the case that much more difficult, especially because Mark Fuhrman were involved, a known racist. However I do believe in the evidence, and the DNA. OJ definitely did it!
Yeah jury members even whispered it was a race thing. So sad. No way to win. At least she gave it her all though!
Prosecution could of still done a better job
I finish watching it on Netflix and oh man I was so into it I finish watching in 3 days but it was a good gooooood. I still wonder if Marsha dated Chris lol and yes I had always believe it was oj and still think he did it. Sarah Paulson play her right on point
They did have a fling.
She looks great.
I don't care what she looked like.
She lost, because her side was wrong.
@@liecrusher3506 1D107
WOW. She is a trooper. I love her so much. She is so genuine.
So great. I love the way she said that although justice was not served, she gave it her all. I think Nicole would be grateful. We are too! To a brighter, honest future.
Agree! I'll be 41 in November and I watched this case when it happened. Amazes me how Nicole and Ron never got justice
OJ did it.
Nicole and Ron got some degree of justice.
she's amazing. Sarah Paulson conveyed her in an incredible way.
Marcia Clark is AMAZING!
Not AMAZING enough to get a conviction though, was she.
nobody would with that jury @@yankee2666
She is so strong6 so inspiring, showed me that you can get through anything
I'm glad that the series is about Marcia Clark and Darden. They went thru a lot
Judge Ito got into trouble for referring to her as Marcia, which he did do if you watch the trial, but always referred to the men as “Mr” and it was not good.
Maybe, because he knew her, on a more personal level.
liecrusher it’s not very professional though. And, it gives the wrong impression to the jury.
@@pommiebears How so?
Perhaps, if I'm correct, too much of a sense of familiarity or compromise, between the two?
I love how humble her children are, her youngest son wasn't even phased, he was just worried that people thought he was just that dumb. Lol.
I've watched a lot of her recent interviews on UA-cam. She's a charming, intelligent, and articulate woman. She moved through all of this with grace. I think she's great.
Yes! She is a hero! Because she LOST an utterly winnable case?
No way to win. They wanted the verdict. She did the best besides that.
Would like to hear from some of the jurors in the case if they are allowed to talk about it
We all know most people think OJ did it. But someone has to ask about Furhman admitting on tape to setting up black men with white women (just like OJ and Nicole). That is real hate. People keep saying that is dealing on race, but I don't see it. Your star witness admitted to that, that has to be relevant.
I think he did it, but then again, I thought MJ was a pedophile and he was not!
***** Ah, you are a racist jackass. I know your life sucks. Try to be happier. Peace out.
Glad you're not a prosecutor anymore. You were just awful, but yes, Judge Ito was also horrible in this case.
it was so good, i felt so much emotion from sarah paulson - i feel bad for marsha there are lawyers their whole life that would never have a case like that she did her best with almost an all black jury. DNA was still confusing and even though it was everywhere police contaminated the scene, fuhrman came off like the furor didn't help.
Marcia
i have never heard anyone say that leather shrinks when it gets wet. wet with blood, yes i think so. also trying to pull a glove over a latex glove could prove difficult.
She was a brutal pick for the prosecutor in this case. Anyone going through a nasty divorce/custody battle should not have been in a high profile case like this one.
I wouldn't dismiss the Jason Simpson theory so quickly. There is actually plenty of evidence pointing to him.
this is a fantastic interview! so many of these morning shows have cringe-worthy interviews full of nothing. This held my interest, love savannah's questions, marcia's eloquent responses. I liked this tv series as well!
Marcia Clark still has trouble swallowing the fact that she and Chris Darden did a HORRIBLE job of prosecuting the case. Period.
So much respect for this attorney.
She's a sweet lady, but when, at the end, she said "I left nothing on the table" I thought,
yes, you did leave something on the table. You didn't bring the stupid Bronco chase, on the freeway,
into the prosecution's presentation. Dear Marcia, why didn't you?
I always wondering why they never brought in the bloody shoe prints during the criminal trial. Those shoe prints were made by some custom shoe he owned - less than 300 were ever made. I forget the name.
+Ward413 they couldn't find witnesses to come forward with pictures of him in the Bruno Magli shoes until the civil trial came around.
Latisha Croissant Ah I see. Nice. I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.
in his conference in may 1997 she explains why she didnt bring the chase, look it up its here in ytub
She didn't bring in the eye witness that identified OJ driving his bronco and almost losing control in the intersection and yelling at her for it. Also, that witness sold her story to a tabloid show but it didn't mean it didn't happen. The jurors were sequestered by that time and it didn't matter.
Reading Marcia Clark’s book Without a Doubt. Excellent book! Does everyone know that she has written 14 best selling crime fiction books?
COURTNEY KILLED KURT !!
She was given a job to try to O.J. Simpson in prison. She tried her best, but the jury found him not guilty. She seems to have moved on with her life and leave the trial in the past. Same, for me,I let God judge O.J. Simpson . I do not look back on the trial and I do not watch the new show. I have also moved on with my life.
she is amazing, and I love the actress in the series, too.
Marcia, how many other cases of murder did you prosecute when a glove was left at a crime scene and the other one at the suspect house? thank you
Ask Furman
5:50 -- The younger son is 23 and a HALF........
I thought she was a strong woman who gave it her all. She made women and girls feel like we could do anything against a powerful team of men. I think they should do some sort of double jeapordy though where you can retry the guy for homicide hands down. That goes for other cases such as Casey Anthony and so many others.
She didn’t give it all because she just blatantly lied about most things!
LOL they messed up the case really bad
OJ's defense team was much better.
he hit that
MARCIA YOU DID YOUR BEST. WE STILL KNOW HE WAS GUILTY.!!!!!
Lep Xxnn he was innocent. That is what we know.
Kwasi A King
Found not guilty, far from innocent.
Kwasi A King tell me how exactly is he innocent.
Yeah, she and Darden "knocked boots."
She looks better than everyone years later... loved her work she put her all in it
Clark and Darden were a disaster, the Brown's and Goldman's deserved better.
translate: nunya biz if they had a romance. who cares how she looks? she had a hard job to do and did it well.
I watched the OJ case from the white Bronco real time to the end. Marcia Clark is a role model and American hero. I adore her to this day.
What an incredible lawyer and person
Amazing how much Sarah Polson resembles Marcia Clark.
Yeah the whole show honestly did an incredible job of casting. Not only were they incredible actors, but most of them looked exactly like the real people (Judge Ito, Marcia, Darden, Johnny Cochran, and even Robert Kardashian kind of)
Chris was clapping them cheeks.
Mad respect for you!
Deep inside o.J Simpson is Gulity as hell l still remember when they they went to trail.
OJ Simpson would never have hurt the mother of his children. absolutely 100% not guilty
+Malcolmx2Pac That's just like your opinion, man.
OJ said, "I know what Marcia did with the 4.2 million- it's all in her face!" which was hilarious.
OJ is my second favorite murderer after the Iceman.
Mike Ansley I respect your opinion. But OJ Simpson is no murderer. He seems like a nice guy
Malcolmx2Pac Nice guy? He physically abused his wife on several occasions.
If it’s not fair to Jason, then he needs to speak out because the more Dear’s theory comes out to the spotlight, the more Jason is going to speak out.
@@roxannemoser If Jason didn't do it, why Jason didn't sue William Dear for defamation.
Silence is consent.
What a lady!
Jason did NOT love Nicole
The dream team ran circles around that office. R.I.P to the two who was killed.
***** Look man the L.A. DA office was beat badly bottom line.
***** Well I was commenting on the trial..I thought you was being sarcastic, my bad if I was wrong.
cn people stop asking her about the Chris thing..geeees
She did a terrible job and so did Darden...now she is talking trash
she's aged well
Marcia is so smart, strong and nice !!
the trial went the way it went because of the judge, it was all the judge not the jury not the racism.
Such a classy lady. She gave it her all. Her team did too.
I think Marcia Clark and Chris Darden were terrible prosecutors.
Giggling away like two school girls ffs
It's kind of funny how she looks younger now than she did 21 years ago.
WHO TOLD YOU TO PUT THE BALM ON?
LOL! Thanks for that Seinfeld reference, I needed a good laugh today.
Watching the trial, I always noticed how tired she looked! It was a long trial and she had two young children and she probably wasn't getting enough sleep, plus the stress of the trial. She looks so good now, better than she did twenty-five years ago!
Wow did she have work done.
She is unrecognizable.
I’m sure the O.J. case will haunt her for life.
They still treat woman so superficially, especially from other woman we have come far but we are still treated like inferiors
She looks good
She looks better
This is powerful.
A murderer got away with it. Nothing funny about that!
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! She aged like fine wine though even though during the trial came off as extremely over confident and had her own agenda.
Don’t let her demeanor full yiu she is a real tigress.
And she still looks really good. Happy for her
This interview is aweful
I have nothing but respect for Marcia Clark. Looking back, it was definitely not easy to be a woman in that room battling against the so called The Dream Team. She was treated poorly but she still did her best. Too bad the jury purposefully made it a political vote.
She didn’t have a chance with the jury they hand picked.
She had a serious glow up. She looks better now than she did all those years ago
Marcia Clarke, You were doing Chris instead of putting the killer. You were a looser and you lost again. You ruined all those people life, but he is out. He wasn't a killer.
You can never be a lawyer.
