      Watching this and seeing how David Schimmer portrays Rob Kardashian (when my phone autocorrects Kardashian, that's when you know society has fallen) really make me feel for Rob- he seemed like such a lovely man. It's sad to say but maybe it was better he died before he could see his family become so superficial and shitty.
      I believe there was a line in an episode where Rib took his kids to lunch... Something to do about fame and how you shouldn't get swept up by it. I wish his kids would respect his wishes.

      I'm not talking about the verdict, I'm talking about what actually happened. While I can understand why the criminal trial went the way it did, I can't understand why people are still dancing around Simpsons guilt in 2016. OJ Simpson murdered Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, that is an historical fact.Rebecca Wiggins

    • @maxspringfield
      @maxspringfield 9 років тому +22

      Rebecca Wiggins
      OJ's guilt is perhaps the most well documented fact in criminal history. There is a lot of evidence that wasn't presented at the criminal trial, so its perhaps somewhat understandable that people don't realize just how incredibly guilty he is. There may be some small details that would seem to point away from Simpson, but these don't come anywhere close to outweighing all of the evidence that conclusively proves his guilt. Fortunately he was found guilty in the civil trial, and is currently imprisoned for a different crime that he also committed.

    • @kegadolll
      @kegadolll 7 років тому +11

      The police never had another suspect because the case was so ludicrously strong against OJ in the first place. There are no "real killers" other than OJ. Period. There was so much blood evidence alone that the DA and police department assumed it would be a slam dunk; OJ had the blood of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman mixed with his in his socks, in his Bronco, and the glove... OJ is not the unluckiest man on Earth. That doesn't just happen by accident. Plus he had the means, motive, and opportunity to do it and not one credible witness contradicted that or observed him someplace else during the time the murders happened. In fact, all of the witnesses supported OJ's guilty timing as far as where he was and what he was doing. Then you have the Bronco chase where he's holding a gun to his head, the suicide note read aloud to the media... He was a habitual violent wife beater with an irrational temper and jealousy issues. I mean it goes on and on. These sorts of things don't just perfectly align against someone to frame them. If the police were so dead set on 'getting' OJ because he's a rich black man married to a white woman, then they would've arrested him one time across the 8 years the police were called to his house for domestic violence and didn't take him in. OJ is guilty as fuck and it's absurd that anyone in this day and age would think otherwise. To claim OJ's innocence, not only do you have to logically make ridiculous excuses against all the evidence, you have to also put forth WHO did it - because someone did.

    I have watched this series several times and it is super good. I was just a teenager when the O.J. Simpson murder case occurred. I wasn’t a fan of the naked gun films and O.J’s football days were before my time. My mom told me it would’ve been like if Michael Jordan had been arrested for a double murder and it made a lot more sense then. But still I wasn’t super aware of all the stuff going on except it was always on the news but I didn’t watch it too much. I’ve been able to research it a lot more as an adult this miniseries really brought me back To what it was like growing up a teenager in the 90s

    This series has been wonderfully cast, produced and directed!
    I was never a big fan of Travolta or Cuba, however, watching them NAIL their roles as their respective characters has given me a new found fondness for them.
    I, too, am not convinced of his guilt or innocence, especially once I learned of Fuhrman's practices as a cop before and DURING his investigation of the Brown/Goldman murders.
    Oh, the use of the "N" word by him did not bother me nor did it imply he was prone to the felonious act of reconstructing a crime scene. But the fact that he was KNOWN to either plant evidence or support his fellow officers that engaged in framing Black males, set a level of doubt in my mind that I could not ignore.
    I cannot explain why O.J. took a slow speed chase with a gun to his head-while threatening suicide nor can I explain why he would deny owning a pair of Bruno Magli shoes. However, I cannot ignore the fact that he's NEVER admitted any guilt to these murders nor has there been UNDENIABLE direct evidence to securely link him to those crimes.
    The murder weapon was never found. The hairs in the cap could not conclusively be connected to him and there was NO CLEAR MOTIVE.

    • @sherribailey75
      @sherribailey75 9 років тому +6

      +janestillspeaking He's absolutely 100% guilty. And there was a motive. The motive was to punish his ex-wife, who he saw as merely a possession, for divorcing him. He did what so many wife-batteres have done throughout time: kill their spouse. Remember when he gets the call from the cops in the first episode, telling him his wife has died? He doesn't ask, "Where? When? How?" All the questions one would ask about their loved one if they found out they had died. He doesn't ask. He simply says, "I will be on the next flight." OJ is the killer. He is a sociopath. We only question his guilt because a biased jury, which was brainwashed and manipulated by the defense, said he was not guilty. Had they come back with a guilty verdict, no one would have any doubts. But don't forget, in the civil trial, he was found being responsible for her and Ron's deaths. He also did an interview, in which he said, "Well, if I HAD killed her, it would have been because I loved her very much."

      No clear motive!?! He is the ONLY person to have motive...especially in the case of Ron Goldman.
      His race and fame and physical evidence completely aside, OJ is the only one who had the motive to kill Nicole and Ron Goldman. I have watched countless true crime documentaries over the last few years. When a person is shot over and over, or a person is stabbed dozens of times, they call it "overkill". It means the crimes were extremely brutal and a crime of passion, because of how much hate and rage the killer had stored inside. Nicole was nearly decapitated. Here are just a few the reasons he is completely guilty because of circumstantial evidence alone (even though the damning physical evidence overwhelming proved his guilt, Mark Furman or not):
      1. OJ was a very violent husband, who had beaten her black and blue (yes, there are pictures).
      2. Listen to the 911 tapes where he is busting her door down, and screaming at her like a maniac.
      3. They had been divorced a short while on the night she was killed. OJ was constantly trying to convince her to get back with him in the past few months, and they did briefly.
      3. Everything changed after what had transpired earlier in the afternoon. Their daughter, Sydney, had a dance recital earlier that day, and they both attended. She asked her other family who had attended to go to lunch, but she did not ask him. And, she told him it was over for good, and that they were not going to get back together.
      4. When abusive men are told that, they explode and develop the mentality, "If I can't have you, no one will." In fact, this is the most dangerous time during a separation/escape and the most common time abused spouses are killed...just as their abuser realizes they are about to lose control. (I know this all from everything I have watched, but also having seen it happen to someone in my family.)
      5. Ron Goldman (I believe) waited tables at the restaurant they ate at that day. Nicole's mother accidentally left her glass at the restaurant. I believe they were just casual friends, that he knew Nicole well enough to be able to drop them off on his way home or out after work.
      6. Ron Goldman being brutally stabbed himself is the most glaring evidence of the fact only OJ could have done this. Who in the world would have any motive to "overkill" Ron, than OJ? Seriously!? OJ thought he was a new boyfriend, and in a jealous rage and filled with adrenaline, went after him, too! Even if Nicole was or wasn't already laying on the ground bleeding out, OJ, the former NFL pro, would have had the superhuman strength to take Ron down.
      No matter how you look at it, OJ has been so disrespectful to their memories with the classless things he has said and done since then. She was the mother of his children. Smh. 😔

    • @boberyan2
      @boberyan2 5 років тому +1

      Most would certainly agree that Fuhrman was absolutely capable of planting evidence. However, the timeline of events doesn’t support the possibility of that in this case. Why would Fuhrman or any other cop plant evidence to frame a specific person without knowing whether or not they had an alibi. All you need is one eyewitness to place OJ in Chicago at the time of the murders, and any cop that planted evidence is cooked. Fired, no pension, and probably going to prison.
      Look up OJ’s testimony from the civil trial. It was a disaster. There’s a reason the “dream team” didn’t let him testify. He was as dishonest as the day is long and contradicted himself every step of the way. If he had been forced to testify in the criminal trial he would have been found guilty.
      I’m happy to help you explain the Bronco chase. He had a gun to his head. But what’s more telling is that he also had $10,000 in cash and a passport. He was attempting to flee. Would you flee if you didn’t do it? Would you write a suicide note and hold a gun to your own head if you didn’t do it?
      Many jurors over the last 25 years have done interviews where they have admitted they now believe he’s guilty. Some even confessed that the not guilty verdict was payback for Rodney King.

    By the way, OJ boasted that one of the kardashians was his daughter. Go look at OJ's daughter and one of the kardashian's side-by-side and you'll swear they're twins.

    When my dad hears the name Kardashian, he thinks of Rob. Felt sorry for the guy. David did a great job portraying him.

    It’s funny how Cuban really feels like he didn’t do it but he played him so fucking well you could see the guilt through his eyes.

    David looks amazing, aged so well, it's like 10th season all over again, except this is criminal drama and not sitcom and he was great in it. I like it.
