My only regret collecting nendoroids is starting late. Now some of my favorite anime characters are selling at a ridiculous price. Kinda happy tho they've re-released the others that I want just like the Attack on titan characters.
I’ve felt the same way. Just ordered my first one. I love Berserk so I bought Guts. Since I don’t have the space or money for most of the berserk merch I’m hoping this line goes a little deep.
I've been a weeb all my life & make anime art, but I'm totally new to this hobby. My favorite thing about nendoroids is the uniformity of theme & dimensions. I'm really OCD about displaying figures side by side that look uniform. And since they all have the same chibi art style, having them together on display just looks clean. They also don't scream "Doll house" / "Barbie Doll Shrine" when a normie visits. I have just one miku figure (deep see version), and my mom refers to it as a barbie. lmao. Great video, love your energy and enthusiasm! I feel like I'm a bit late to this hobby, because there seems to be a lot of Nendoroids I'll never own (FMA, Steins Gate, Toradora...), but I think the thrill of the hunt is part of the experience. You never know when you'll see one pop up on Facebook Marketplace or something.
I am addicted to these cute little guys! I completely agree with your point about them being a crossover. I got all my gacha Nendoroids together and can't wait to get Guts and Alucard to be grouped up with Doom Slayer and Denji. They all work so well thanks to the similar art style.
i want to collect nendoroids due to the photography aspect of it. I've seen so many amazing nendoroid photography and as a person who loves to do photography, I want to join in. Also nendoroid dress up aspect is really intriguing to me.
I've been a collector my whole life, now on my 40s and thanks to watching Jojo's I started collecting nendoroids of my fav characters and to tell you the truth, no regrets at all. Feels so good looking at my nendoroids of series like Jojo's, Inuyasha, Nier, Hololive, Berserk, Macross, etc. etc. etc. I just love them. Thanks for sharing the video!
When I started figure collecting, I didn't want to buy nendos. Later I found some of my fav characters nendos and started buying them. Not a lot, but what I have I really like.
Really nice video. I just bought my first nendoroid after already having some figures of the same character and I wanted some variety. I absolutely love it and I completely agree that they should represent you and you should identify with them
I started collecting nendoroids 3 years ago. I now ended up with more than 300 of them😅. Figures collection is an expensive hobby and it is why I’m broke. Another big problem to those collectors is about finding a place to keep the boxes😂, since you are discouraged to throw them away. They are more liquid, compared to figures, in the secondary market.
6:00 For anyone after the Nichijou Nendoroids, AmiAmi has them available on preorder for an October 2023 release. UK stores are taking orders too. I've not watched Nichijou but I recognised the iconic characters when browsing... I wish the Future Gadget Lab members would get a reissue. 😞
To me, the biggest appeals of Nendoroids are super adorable, budget + space friendly, and posable. While Nendoroids are pricier than they were 10 years ago and come with fewer parts, they are still relatively affordable compared to other types of figures. I also love their versatility. With multiple Nendoroids and some accessories, you can recreate a lot of your favourite scenes from your favourite show or create brand new stories. Swapping parts to create custom Nendoroids are also a ton of fun. Wallet-kun and Space-kun: We are saved. Thank you forever. :D Haachama-chama is finally free!! xD Edit: Spelling and add words! My first nendoroid was a bootleg Nanachi and I feel kinda disappointed in myself when i found it out 😂 Nendoroids cost like around 200+ over here so its an expensive hobby but honestly i couldn't care less if i save up enough of my allowance to at least buy one in every 2-3 months. I honestly love this new hobby of mine tbh
@@The_Anime_Figure_Collector Absolutely! I'm gonna get my hands on Aki Hayakawa from CSM and it'll be released around June so I hope I have enough funds by that time! Fortunately, I found stores that have a partnership with GSC so it's gonna be my first real nendoroid :DD

I usually collect gameing series nendoroid. There were some i really regret purchasing. Sometimes i find myself contemplating on those rare nendoroids that exceeded over 100 dollars.
As a nendoroid collector myself I don't know if I would recommend them. Prices rise and they get really really expensive. Especially those online exclusives and limited nendos. And a sad fact is that a lot of nendos I ordered got really cheap a few weeks after release. Like 50% off. Preorder nendos are currently starting at 60€ up to 130€ in my country. That's really really expensive. Finding my nendoroids after a short while for such cheap prices gives me some feeling of regret. Another big problem with nendoroids is the addiction. If you have one, you can't stop! I love my hololive nendoroids but they release soooo much. I can't afford them anymore, because I want other nendoroids as well (and a lot of persona 5 scales). Selling my nendoroids is difficult as well, I have around 20 unopened nendos that noone wants to buy. If you preorder a nendoroid be prepared that you might find her way cheaper after the release in your country. It's honestly a gamble. They could be sold out or cheap as hell. Just make sure you won't regret your decisions and enjoy collection. And prepare a lot, and I mean a lot of space, for displaying and storage.
