- Touhou: Hero of Ice Fairy is actually insane and epical, you gotta play it bros!!
One day, the developers of this weirdo game sent me the CD-key links for this thing, and I was suprised to see it was a cool and promising project. I immediately knew, "HEY, I GOTTA REVIEW THIS BABY!!". I promised and delivered! (to myself). The music of this game slaps, the art is muac and the storyline if borderline epic and grand; much more than any other fangame before or after. I don't know what I am saying, that's how much I love it!
Reimu became evil, Cirno is a hero, Reisen has a slay fit, and Tewi looks like Smokey Brown from jojo. Crazy, isn't it?

The character redesigns look really kool, love it. The gameplay looks somewhat similar to luna night bossfights, I think I'll play it myself. Thank you for the voice acting 3:12 ^~^

In this game Marisa got the hardest drip of all time and epic music
Actually looks like Elaina from the Elaina Wandering Witch animation, which I could swear has inspiration from Touhou
Pretty sure Marisa here does the same pose on the broom as her

btw the prologue is kinda related since it's where the context of cirno becoming powerful, and it's pretty fun too.

The full story was fairly interesting although I kinda wanted to see Reimu more (especially in the end credits)
I played this game a while back, it’s very good I’d like to see platforming segments when the full game comes out though
How would that work? Cirno’s air dash is pretty overpowered

The Flandre and Remilia centric demo is meaningful to the story. Flan gives out the biggest forshadowing if you manage to no-hit clear her.

I absolutely love the gameplay of this game and the music is awesome as well!
However my absolute biggest gripe with it right now aside from story content as that's basically a given, is the 100% critira. It's absolutely balls to the walls difficult, like... Lunatic No-bomb 1cc difficult... Requiring you to not only not get hit, but to do it AGAIN without even harming the bosses? That's a giant ask for some players, and even to this day I STILL haven't done this for a single fight.
i discovered that you can still damage the bosses to build up courage and it still counts as pacifist as long as you still time them out
@@narf8982 That's neat. Definitely helps with gaining barrier but doesn't lessen the difficulty by too much lol
One of my favorite kinds of fangames are the ones that don't make much sense in canon but are just epic fun
Watched about 90 seconds, I've seen enough. Looks well made, looks like things I like, and (for now) is only like $8 with the DLC. I'm going for it, buying it now! :D
this looks really good, I think I might have seen a demo of this on steam, I also saw this one that looked like it revolved around card battles ?
Fun Fact: Cirno is the responsible for Freezing the entire Zone in Ice Cap, that Michael Jackson himself got kicked out because of a Scandal about those songs (joke, please don't hurt me)

I was following this game all the way back since it got announced. It was really fun even though I couldn't understand chinese. But since it got an english update. The games even better

Heavy Spoilers ahead by the way, like, literally the final boss spoilers around the end of the comment. I personally completed the whole story (Although I had to use assist mode), and honestly? Even though I didnt exactly catch certain parts of the story, the general concept and execution was still amazing.
Specially the final fight against Doromey on the moon. Its hella hard, sure, but it was also incredibly fun. Every attack flowed well, there werent any attacks I could call bullshit (since most of the time me taking damage was a skill issue), and the concept of reusing entire PHASES from the other Challenge mode bosses? Chef's kiss. And the final phase where everything goes dark is incredibly cinematic while still being hellish, and ends off an amazing boss fight with an amazing final phase.
