🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️ this is so good to know, and to know how to do it, I keep saying youtube needs you, bro. It's always good watching this channel because you will show how to do it.
I’ve been a long time subscriber. This vid is one of the most informative for me ! I’m in the middle of rebuilding the engine in my 87 T. When thats done the AC is next! Thanks Bernie
This is exactly what I was looking for on my 79 Malibu. Only thing I’ll need to figure out now is how to power the components, my car was a factory non-AC car
Man I am going to have to do this to my 84 hot air car as soon as I get it back. This video will be useful but I work on car ac stuff a lot anyway. I have the vacuum pump and gauges. Good video 👍 you know your stuff.
Had to repair my AC in my Cutlass, it was fairly inexpensive compared to Vintage Air. Wasn't working when I bought it due to a leak in one of the lines.I plan to replace the compressor as it was the only part not replaced.
Bro, I'm trying to get my AC together now, so this is helping me. Thanks, bro. And check out the channel. I got her out the speed shop for a little bit
Great video. Just curious in the video you mentioned there are products to use with an R12 system. I have an 87 GN and would like to know what products you were talking about to use without replacing the whole system? Thanks
@@kizaw Envirosafe makes an R12 substitute that can be used but you cannot mix it with real R12. Alternatively, you can use r134 but you should replace your drier and top off with ester oil as needed - full system replacement not necessary. Whichever way you choose, 1. replace the seals, 2. vacuum down the system, and 3. use a dye to track any future leaks. Best of luck 🤝
I understand you doing everything by the book but this video would make someone go to vintage, you teach it like a proffessional, we want the version just get running and working for 5 mounths then fix again because we didnt do it right the first time
😂 I wouldn’t fault you for it. This car will be for sale soon so I was thorough with it. At 1:37 I discuss option 1 & 2, they are much quicker than this third one I went with. I’ve done Vintage before and it’s much more challenging and costly than this

hey boss new to your channel (but will be sticking around!) what's the "previous video" you reference where you had the AC compressor tested?
Thanks for watching. I forgot to link it: Grand National & G-Body Heater Box Reassembly

@@CRASHBERN thanks appreciate the response.
Nice job. How did you remedy the space between the hot and cold metals?
I’m thinking of rerouting the ac pipe and using exhaust heat wrap
Ready to overhaul my 86 El Camino. Seems all parts can be obtained through Rock Auto. Where did you get your parts?
@@73amx63 yep, I went with Rock Auto for everything
