nice video
Where Even a dinosaur can learn!!!! Thank you.
I have learned more from your tutorials than I ever learned going to some overpriced classes at a "learning center". Thank you so much for your clear concise instructions!
Definitely going to be switching to dark mode for the future because it seriously is overwhelming on my eyes when it’s super bright with the white background. Thanks for that advice Kevin! :)
Another option is high contrast mode, press alt + shift + print screen to toggle on or off, or find in windows settings.
He literally told all the doubts that were arising in my brain whenever he was telling any point
Seriously he is a man from the future

This video covered literally everything I needed to learn to undertake a very large document for the first time- thanks a million.
I'm ecstatic after watching this video after multiple tries of converting a PDF document and then nearly considering buying a subscription from Adobe for PDF to word conversion! Thanks a bunch!!
Thanks Kevin. I'm reviewing and editing a 60 page dissertation for someone and your tips are going to save me so much time! I love learning from all your videos. :)
Ty for the time stamps Kevin. I’m learning so much from your videos.
keep those editing tips and tricks coming....makes formatting my audit reports so much easier. Time management is the challenge.... Thank you Kevin!
I come from the old horse and buggy times -
I find listening to your tutorials so very helpful
I am fearless almost. Thanks for your help Kevin🙋♀️
This is fantastic. I've been using Word for such a long time and learned so much
This video is very useful for me especially the section on how to turn a PDF into a word document, the one with image-PDF. Big THNKS to you for the clear and beautiful videos you always make. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
One of the BEST instructive series of videos on UA-cam!!!
@Kevin, I loved this review, but it would be great if there were 2 enhancements: 1. When you introduce tips, please tell us what versions this tip is available in. Some of your Top 15 were available a few years ago. 2. When you chose APA (I wish they had an entire template for dissertations!) you accidentally chose MLA for specifics. In APA the references page is called References. In MLA it's called Works Cited - and these are different. Also, you mentioned that with this tool you don't have to be an expert in the different Citation formats -- but in your example, you placed the in-text citation after the punctuation, which is incorrect -- it goes inside the punctuation "blah blah (Williams, 2005)."
BUT I love your tutorials better than anyone else's, so please keep going. I'd love to collaborate with you on an academic tutorial.
So helpful, thank you very much Kevin! Something I struggle a bit with is working with multilevel bullet lists in a document or agreement. Would love to see something on that. Cheers!
Thank you Kevin for this excellent presentation. This is the best ever video I ever watched on MS Word. God bless you.
WOW, I never knew the citations tips but intend to start using beginning today! Thank you.
Clear, concise, informative, entertaining - all the things a great UA-cam video should be - the best I've seen. Thanks for the hard work.
This is the most useful video on software use I've ever watched. Great job Kevin...do more of this.
Your tips and tricks in Microsoft Word are valuable. Thank you for teaching me to do more than just doing ordinary keyboarding. I have already used some of those techniques before I watched this show. Happy Keyboarding!
Lllllllllll
@@koklinda5406 Thank you for tapping or typing to me.
Really good Kelvin ..is it any video on print settings
hard earned love kevin!! you're a great man
If you are setting up a shell or template and want to add placeholder content into the document, you can use the =lorem function which will add generic text into the document. You format it as =lorem(# of paragraphs, # of sentences) As such =lorem(2, 5) will give us two paragraphs of fake text that have 5 sentences each. Please beware that sentences won't make sense to people, but they will provide placeholder text. Additionally, you can use the =rand function, which uses the same format as lorem, but actually adds random tutorial text as a placeholder.
Love your videos dude. I've learned more from your videos in a few months than I have in the 20 years I've been using MS products. Thanks!
Excellent job Kevin. We really appreciate your efforts. with your help I am re-learning MS Office to get the most out it. MS should be paying you even if you are no longer an employee because the more people you teach the more customers they get. Thank you very much.
I learned how to use Microsoft Office on my own when I had my first computer which a Cybernet, all-in-one PC, equipped with Microsoft Office XP Professional, running in Microsoft Windows XP Professional. I had been out of the work force since 1997. Today, I am using Microsoft Word 2019, after I replaced a defective Windows computer with a Dell computer that has Windows 10 Professional. I am doing more work and working better than I would in a typical job.
This was wonderful, I had no idea what was available. You have helped me with so many situations. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Jackie
Excellent Work Kevin! As always! The only critique that I would say would be that many of the power demonstration features you illustrate can be found only in Word/Office 365 subscriptions. For the clearest communication, when mentioning a function for future videos, it would help to mention if such feature is only offered in Office 365. The section on the Microsoft Editor tool was AWESOME! I jumped to this!!! You could do a whole video just on the power of Microsoft Editor, through both Office and the App!
same here! I was using Windows 10 and not all are available in there
@@romellaine23 i suppose it's not depending on the Windows version. Only the office version (Microsoft 365) is important. At least I believe so.
*_Thank you so much for this treasure of Word tips and tricks. Who would have thought that you wouldn't be needing any of these at your work one day? Worth sharing to colleagues and other friends. Again, thank you so much._*
Hi Kevin, your top 15 Microsoft Word tips & tricks were clear, concise and very helpful.
Love, love all your videos and obviously, subscribed! Thank you so much for opening up a world of possibilities! Even the "dark" side ones! Haha
oh my lord!!!! !!! 🤣✔ The struggle was real!!! 10/10 for nerdy help ‼💯☢
Lots of useful tips for the latest version of Word. Thank you,
David
Kevin, thank you so much for this informative tutorial!! The tips are awesome!!!
Your videos are so good whilst being clear and marked by exactness and accuracy of expression. A real breath of fresh air. Now for the serious staff. I know how to find your channel and then go and look at all the videos you have published in order to find a particular one that I want to watch once again. Is there a way that one could construct a full list of your videos, according to their titles and dates. Alternatively, you could build a similar listing which your readers could consult whenever they want to see, at a glance, what you have published. I am an enthusiastic user of MS Office and Word in particular and I think such a listing would be very useful as a quick reference.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you for all the great tutorials! Future topic suggestion: "How to Delete all Skype Contacts at One Time" (not one by one deletion).
Thanks for this, I will be using several of the functions you showed.
That double-clicking "Format Painter" alone will save me one heck of a time on repeated changes demanded by the Boss!
Really useful thanks Kevin. Been trying to find table of contents for ages!
This helped me A LOT... Now my documents will be so much better, thanks Kevin!
Wow! I had to try all of the tips and tricks you gave. I had no idea I could do so much with Word. Thank you and keep doing what you're doing!!
Though I've been using MS Word for years, I learnt quite a few new things today. Thank you so much Kevin!
You've won a hard-earned sub bro! Awesome Stuff
Kevin, your videos are awesome! They’re very helpful to me a very non-techy person. Thanks!
Brilliant content. Never understood how powerful Word could be. Thanks 🍪
The clearest explanation I ever see from UA-camr.
Awesome video thank you. I’m learning a lot from the information you provide.
Very useful tips, thanks Kevin you're the greatest.
One of my favorite tips is taking a document with various fonts/sizes/colors, etc. and just wanting to enlarge or decrease everything by one or 2 points, especially when trying to fit into certain spot. You highlight the text and use the Ctrl-left bracket for decrease and Ctrl-right bracket for increase. Everything enlarges/decreases its size by one point, but keeps the different fonts/colors/style etc.
Where can I get a reference guide for all of Kevin’s Tips and Tricks for Word, Windows 10 and Excel? This will assist in learning so many new and useful tips. Thanks so much.

That's so cool. Thank you!
thanks for taking the time to do this, the very basic tips were great ie the copy and paste bit and changing the back drop colours the rest didnt really apply to me and was a bit more advanced. Maybe you could do a very basic tutorial on word and excel, im sure many many people would be very grateful.
Whoah, bro this is amazing! I was searching for some word tutorials as I'm going to participate in a IT conpetition on this Thursday... Now with this knowledge I'm gonna win it, I'm sure! :DD Btw, You have a new subscriber, now I'll go and watch your other videos as well, since they are all incredibely useful, so bye for now :)
Thank you for taking the time to help us,its greatly appreciated
Great video and there will be points from it that I will be using this morning. Thank you! I'm wondering if you might be able to do a video on how to improve the dictation from the voice recognition option in Word. I've used dragon in the past but it's been very buggy so am moving to the word option - it's good but your videos always enable the ability to use the functions better. Thanks again
You are my Mentor. I think your Microsoft word is at another level. I'm using Microsoft 2021, the most updated 1 but some features are not available. I've been following you for long now and i have learned a lot from your videos. Actually i find it easy to learn from you then other youtubers. For instance, I always find it difficult to learn how to use OBS for screen recording, i developed a mindset of thinking that OBS is a difficult program to learn until i gave up. When i started following you, I came across your video explain how to use OBS and it was easy to follow therefore because of you, i can use OBS by myself. I wish i could have your email address to contact you to make videos on other programs i will be interested to learn. Thank you.
You are an excellent teacher! Thank you for sharing
Microsoft word has definitely improved since I first used it in 2001. Good video too, extremely helpful. Thanks.
Very helpful! Easily explained with nice fast speach. I love the PDF converter. Thanks
Thank you Kevin. I won’t use all of them but good to know they are there.
Awesome! Thank you! I knew a few of these but for the most part, I've learned a whole lot.
Thank you for your generosity Kevin. 🥰
Thanks Kevin! That’s really helpful! 👏 Particularly, opening pdf file in Word.. It’s so handy. 👍
Thank you so much for this tutrial, Kevin! I've learned a lot. Specially the switching into a dark mode one. I saw my workmate did it but she was using a WPS not MSword so i thought there is no such thing in MS Word. Never did i expect that it really is applicable. I love the functin of the "Formula" Iin MS Word. I thought it is only appicable in Excel😊
This is so useful! You're soooo good!
Really I have to learn many thinks from you which help me for live class.
Since I’m using word all the time .. this video was so great and helpful … thanks a lot

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for posting these wonderful and helpful Word tips & tricks.
I found the dark mode especially useful as I am staring at either Word or Excel files.
How do you change a white spreadsheet to a darker version on Excel?
Wow! That's cool. Didn't know so many. Thanks for your video.
Very well explained. Thank you for sharing
Kevin - You provide excellent instruction in your videos! Thank you! Here's one for you which I have been unable to find on the web, we have some very old macros we created in 1998! We now have Office 365. Is there a way to add the templates to a new version of Word without copying over the Normal.dotm file -- let's say when a workstation's hard drive has died and you can't copy over the normal.dotm file? Help with this one would be most appreciated. Thank you, Maria
