Having minimal use of WORD for several years, your tutorial was an excellent confidence builder. I recommend it highly.
Total agreement with all good statements below AND am now relaxed with Word! This allows me to go forward without feeling intimidated by programming I don't understand. You showed us all how to navigate to find help in each area of word. It took going through several videos to find you, but worth the time and effort because you have the knowledge, capability, attitude, and everything else it takes to teach others. Nothing is more helpful than a teacher who knows how to teach. THANK YOU! What a difference in how I handle Word now!

I have a personal preference for the Simplified Office Ribbon and am one of those "Hate Subscription Software" people. LOL! You are doing an AWSOME job of making software easier to use and more understandable for everyone. Great Work!

Perhaps I can share what I found useful. I created a word document, saved and minimised it. Then, as the tutorial went along, I would pause and try to apply to my document each function described. You need to apply and try each thing if you are a beginner or you will forget nearly all of it by the time you get to the end. Just a tip. Just a suggestion that worked for me. Thank guys.

I am an old person that is not very literate when it comes to computers & electronics. I need to know the following. When I do, ........ say, perhaps a resume, I don't know where to start. Then I need to label it etc. Another thing that I can't do, and really MUST learn, is taking a return label that has been emailed to me, and send it to an email address so they can print it off. Being old, has people like me become procastinators, for me anyway, as when it comes to doing this kind of work, I have absolutely no patience. I think you are really good at explaining things, that's why I kept all my questions just for you. You are a very good teacher. One more thing. I have windows 10 and have no idea where the bookmark is.
It is my must to leave a like because I feel that such topic was nearly covered and conveyed in a very easy way to digest. 👍
Thanks very Mr Straham for your lectures. It's very educative, and I learned from it very much. But my suggestion is to do a tutorial on office 21, because their are some changes in their features. Transformation, resume work etc.

@@manuelaalvarado2838 Word 365? You'll need to specify if you are asking about the desktop application or the web-based application. Office/Word 365 can include both of these versions.
Thanks Kevin. I used to love Word 2011 for the publisher features. I use a word doc to create storyboards in my design business. I now have 2020 and can't seem to do the same things. Is there a switch to get these features back? Thank you.

I just subscribed to your channel. I am learning as much about word and excel as I can for an entry level position.
There will be a ton of memorandums that will need to be written and in a certain format. I'm hoping you will have a video similar to this. I feel the shadow effect may come in handy considering I will be working with confidential information.
I have just selected for college to pursue in MIS but to be honest I had no any piece of knowledge in creating document but now I can tell I can create document as if I have been doing this for years
Hi Kevin , great balance of basic stuff for beginners with a couple of little 'wow' extras. I know Word pretty well, but I never thought to sort anything outside of a table so that was a useful new-thing and I hadn't spotted Transform before. Great video. Really great video, I use Pages as I am a Mac User...but I have a job interview here shortly and was told they would ask basic questions regarding word...this was a very useful tutorial...I will review it again every day...but I learned a lot.

Kevin, how do you prevent (and control) text from shifting (e.g. keep text on one page) with page numbers? When I printed a document, the heading, for example shifted to the bottom of the previous page after I printed it. thanks.
