I've heard a guy play it live, combining VP gospel preset and voice live 3X harmonies at the same time... the result was mindblowing... You lucky bastard !!!!! ;)

My brother got a VP-550 and is amazing, he also have a Korg Microkorg and we compare both Vocoder sounds and defenetly the Roland is the winner but for more raw sound the Microkorg is perfect. My only Synth with Vocoder is a Novation Ultranova. Enjoy your new toy Claudio, the collection is growing, you will need a bigger place soon.

I have the VP-500 and it is the only vocoder I use. Some of my other synths have a vocoder but the VP-550 makes a nice dedicated Vocoder with Keyboard.

I have a vp550. I agree with Claudio It,s an amazing piece. However, a good and trained voice Will obtein a better sound than people without vocal training. I LOVE my vp550😍
I think this is the first time I saw a glimpse of your power strip situation! I was half expected to see a automatic fire extinguisher setup in the ceiling over the power strip with several tanks of potassium bicarbonate. I bought a new toy yesterday, The Yamaha WX11 and the BT7 midi adapter.

Like a kid in a candy store. Amazing, as always - not just the talent, but the huge range of instruments at your disposal. Doctor Mix, HOW do you choose which to use when making music? I'm no expert, but every instrument reminds me of some classic tune and I would get paralysed just by trying to decide what is appropriate for a new composition. It kinda turns upside down the genesis of a lot of 'classic' tunes where the composer was simply working with whatever they had at the time and it just happened to come out as magic - instead here you know in advance what magic can be created, but then have to choose which variety of magic you want! Blows my mind just thinking about it.

I have a Korg MS2000R. It has vocoder function and lets you input an external carrier for the vocoder
