Hail to Manowar! Kings of Metal

the human abstract are crazy, its a shame that they are around 50 years before their time, but, I think if these guys got back together and did some stuff with Jacob collier, they could make it happen, maybe with a totally different style!

Yeah I agree. Very underrated band that never found an angle with the vocals to fit in. But I love them

@@DollyDagger0420 yeah there were some signs of genius from the first vocalist but his experimental creativity impacted the band in a negative way until they came out with digital vail, the vocalist is awesome, as are the band, but again, just a little too much for most listeners with the orchestral abstract?!?

Man the harsh vocals are one of the best parts of BTBAM. It's a shame you don't like them.

Yea it's been a constant disconnect for btbm fans who see these reactions lol

@@captainmorgan1978 I disliked his screams for the longest time, would always listen for their more melodic/complex instrumental sections. But it was like a switch flipped for me at some point, and I found myself really starting to dig his vocals. Sorta like how I hated olives for 30 years, but all the sudden started liking them lol. I think you should give the band "Protest the Hero" a shot if ya haven't before, think you might really dig them. Another super talented band with awesome musicians that has a "neat" vocalist style that can turn some people off, but I think it's perfect for their type of music. They started off from the punk/post-hardcore scene, and developed into their own brand of like prog metal / mathcore (is that still a thing?). Anyways, any of their stuff is awesome, their first album they wrote when they were ~18 and released when they were 19, and it's extremely impressive the level of complexity and depth that album has. I'd recommend listening to "Bloodmeat" from their album Fortress which is probably their most accessible, 'mainstream' song. Thanks for reading, and thanks for the reactions, cheers!

Since you like solos you should have reacted to the remake anniversary edition of Battle hymns played live on stage, having all past members participate which means 3 drumkits and drummers on stage, 3 guitarists doing 3 solos.....

the moment "reacter" starts talking over the music itself... I am done. Sorry, your channel, your rules... but you cant react to something you wont listen. And btw, before you say something about Manowar, please consider, because you are talking about the classic, that inspired basically every single power metal band after. And yes, loudest band is a thing, tried by many (including before Motorhead) and yes Eric is considered one of the best singers and most humble persons in metal scene period and yes I know you need vies, but sometime less is more.
And I am not saying this because I am fanboy of Manowar, but they have respect by more bands out there than so called "music experts" on youtube, so they deserve that respect
    thank you and bye

If I was talking too much I would agree, I will have to go back and watch but it IS a reaction channel. Sometimes I do talk too much so it is possible. This is not about respect. Music is something you experience. It's about how it impacts you, respect is way down the line of impact. Get your take and glad they have the respect of the metal (speed) community but the reaction is about my opinion of what I am hearing. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Never claimed to be an expert. Hope you find other reactions more enjoyable. Cheers!

@@captainmorgan1978 @captainmorgan1978 please, do talk. Maybe I said it wrong. I don't mind talking, I don't like talking over the music. Just hit pause and say what you want to say. As I said, I am no fanboy so I have no trouble accepting that someone likes something and I don't or vice versa. I just think that music needs to be listened to, to be able to someone react to it. You may miss because of two seconds great change or amazing vocals or something greatly mixed in background.
So please don't take it as a critique, more like a recommendation. Because I saw it couole times already that people were complaining about this in different channels as well

@@pavolridrich3434 I appreciate it and it is noted. The difficulty for my reactions as they usually have 5 to 6 songs at 6 minutes at the minimum... Pausing makes it quite difficult as I try to keep the streams to an hour...as well, I have listened to so much music at this point that even if I am talking I am indirectly listening as well. This has happened in songs and I will either shut up immediately or stop and go back. I am sure I miss some stuff here and there but it would be quite a rare situation where the little I miss would change my overall feel/thought on the song, especially since most of the music is not that intricate for the most part, save DT and the like/Jacob Collier stuff 😋. Finally, what you may have missed is that I listen to every song after the stream again. I have made this clear that I listen to all songs 2 times before making a final decision. I have come back on the next stream many times and said, "oh shit, I have changed my mind on that song." The reaction is a first react. There have been many times I have changed my mind on a second listen in either direction.
i do agree with your idea overall. I am almost certain with most of the music 2 listens is enough to get my feel.
Thanks again for the thoughts and they have been noted. 😊

Manowar are the greatest band ever. The issues you had with the first song and the recording “quality” simply have to do with non-remastered CD’s from the 80’s being generally quieter than albums recorded nowadays. And I agree, that can be a bit frustrating. But if you crank this album just as loud, it sounds better than the sound quality of most modern albums. The echo you hear is called a “wall of sound” production, and it makes the recording more epic and powerful. It is desirable. Not enough bands today take advantage of this production style unfortunately. The production on most modern metal albums sounds like crap compared to this. Manowar is true heavy metal 🤘
