Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

Easy 10
As a tintin fan this movie is insanely good, giving tintin nathan drake vibes, being more mature, and merging 3 albums + references in one movie, also giving a new story cliffhanger with the biggest pirate tresure still underwater
The only GLARING problem is that the "Four hundredweight" of gold is described like it fills a whole ship, even though it's actually about the size of the globe at the end. They could've literally changed it to "Ten thousand tonnes" and that would have fixed it
@@smallw1991that was only the gold that haddock caught in his hat after the Unicorn’s explosion.
The rest lies with the wreck, which is explored in the book and cartoon TV series. Although I agree with you, there looks so be far to much gold than a single ship like that could readable carry.
Those poor French Legionnaires! "Oh, Dieu merci, he put the bottle down. Merde! Who left their sword within his reach?!"
As a French i must say I'm terrifié😎🍷🇨🇵
more importantly, who had the swords there in the first place!
@@dwaugh2215 He literally just rips it out of the guy. What an absolute beast
Too bad the sequel still stuck in a limbo. I hope they reintroduce Professor Calculus in the sequel.
is there even going to be a sequel at this point? was it even started?
@@jinxedskyy It never announced properly due to the development issue but the director himself wished to create the sequel right after the first movie success.
Yeah calculus is hilarious
As opposed to professor algebra
I remember hearing the next Tintin movie would be based on The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners Of The Sun.
Totally missed it until now, but Haddock is fighting left handed and then very clearly switches to his right soon after. Knowing the directors, it had to be a Princess Bride reference lol.
people always hate the cgi. . .
the cgi 13 years ago xd
what a masterpiece!
Wait, people hate the CGI of this movie?!?! 😯
This film really holds up.
I love how he just casually puts down the barrel pulls out his sword and challenges Rackham
0:23 love how the lieutenant is already in this boxing stance and ready to square up on Haddock before his armed men enter the room.
2:28
Probably the darkest moment in this movie. I felt bad for his men
Never trust the pirate when they make the deal
6:07 now that is a dying curse
lol @ 4:00. Haddock should’ve been like “uhhh….yeah? You killed my crew after promising you wouldn’t.”
@imtheoriginaltolgWith better wording it would be just as badass
@@BaldianOfIbelin "you blew my men sky high"
@@BaldianOfIbelinand down to the bottom along with my men.
@@biancajoieting1872 That's a good one
"Your crew for mine, a fair trade, wouldn't ya say?"
I love the transition with the past and present!!!
Love that the two red feathers he's got on the front of his hat makes Rackham look like the Devil.
The storytelling in this scene and this entire movie is supreme.
lol were all the pirates drunk or sleeping while 2 guys were sword fighting 😂😂
Both
lol I did not realize that til now
0:11 and 0:26 The way he says Red Rackam
0:30 and 4:00 the fight scenes
I always used to rewind on these moments
Should they ever make a New Tintin movie, I hope that when it covers Red Rackham's treasure, that it has the Unicorn be sunk not too far from an island coast, since one of the main reasons Francis Haddock was able to survive was due to staying on the island, counting his days and rationing his rum supply until he was found and rescued.
...Especially since it would mean having to deal with the parrots that learned a lot of Francis' language and passed it down through their descendants.
as well as finding the cross with the calendar marked upon it
they should make that entire comic into a movie tbh

Haddock:Show yourself, Red Rackam!
If it's a fight you want you've met your match
@@darrenrock3387 To the death, Red Rackam!
@@phantomvlogs_9921 a fight with whom
You know Cap. Archibald Haddock remembers every word but also every detail. Now I know this seems like a longshot, but is it possible that Captain Archibald haddock is the reincarnation of his own ancestor?
No, he says he is his ancestor
@@larizarichard08 True, but Rackham said they'd meet again in another life, so it could be likely that they are Rackham and Sir Francis reborn as their own descendants. Crazy, but not illogical imho.
Hey maybe sir Francis did drink said rum, and drunkly defeat Rackham lol
Yeah sometime people can reborn in their own descendants which is possible by the laws of reincarnation.
That wouldn't be the weirdest thing that happened in the series. I could buy it.
The red rackam swings his sword is dope. Reminds me of video game boss fights
There was actually a video game that came out after this movie, and Rackham does the same sword swinging thing during his boss fight.
0:11 show yourself, red rackham!
5:04 Same holding pose as John Marston on RDR cover.
6:07 Red Rackham: I CURSE YOU!!! I CURSE YOUR NAME AND ALL WHO COME AFTER!!! WE WILL MEET AGAIN, HADDOCK!!! IN ANOTHER TIME!!! IN ANOTHER LIFE!!! 😡😡😡💥💥💥
One of my favorite movies to this day.
ARES! Make a sequel to this glorious movie and my life is yours
One day I hope the sequel will happen
I think it's fine. This is already perfect. I also kinda feel scared. If they make part two, it will be a disaster, like those new bad Star Wars/Marvel. So I think only this movie is enough. I do love for part two, but I am afraid and worry it could ruin Tintin.
@@gr1mmy954Same... the second will always falling down bad 😢
@@gr1mmy954 sure ignores sequels that were a success or Marvel movie that did well.
I only just realised Sakharine is Daniel Craig after all these years and that Thomson and Thompson are Nick Frost and Simon Pegg. 🤦♂️
17th & 18th Centuries Golden Age of Highwaymen & Pirates.
Criminals themselves.
The Unicorn Ship sailed away from the coast of the Island of Barbados in 1676.
Reign of His Majesty King Charles the 2nd.
Samuel Pepys the Diarist.
Sir Christopher Wren.
Love all the transitions
Imagine being a french soldier seen all this lmao
Andy Serkis Vs Daniel Craig
Gollum vs James bond
Caesar or Alfred would be my pick
The soldiers are still confused what are they doing at least they listened to what they are saying and didn’t open fire
They are all wasted from drink. I mean, you seize one of the greatest treasures of all time, there's bound to be celebratory drinks all around.
@@philippeblais8594he's talking about colonial army, not pirates
Thinks they are interested in what he's spewing but still keeping their guards up
@@JeanneHamada captain Francis shouldn’t have revealed the treasure if his men gonna die anyway
@@ipryan5843 Dude didn't know that Red wont keep his words, but he's willing to sacrifice all that gold to save his men.
I love this!
I wonder if in the next movie they'll throw in the Shooting Star!
Blackbeard vs captain morgan
Which blackbeard? Original or one piece?
@@enkhtemuulenodgerel6175 original. Tintin first, one piece latest. Francis Haddock and Haddock, were inspired from this famous pirates.
@@deddykurniawan5993i thought you talking about one piece so ok🫤👍
Captain Moooorrrrgan, the famous drug smuggler?
I remember reading this comic book as kid, that was so epic
The funny thing in this movie is mr. Haddock.😂 always drunk.
Like demoman
Drunk and scottish. Just needs to lose an eye.
How on earth did they manage to make it look this good? I mean come on this was made 13 years ago.
Motion captured CGI and a really good budget
So back in 2011 I went into the film knowing that Daniel Craig was voicing Red Rackham, and it took me awhile into the film to realize he was voicing the villian Sakharine AS WELL.
I also thought it was a bit funny when they announced his casting early on, like "James Bond wearing that flamboyant Red Rackham pirate hat? Whaa...know what I'm interested to see it." This was before they announced the film would be motion capture animated.
Rackham's entrance was pretty cool
Do you think it’s possible that Captain Archibald, Haddock is the reincarnation of his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock just as Sacarin is the reincarnation of his?
SPIELBERG MAKE A TINTIN SEQUEL AND MY LIFE IS YOURS.....
Can someone explain what kind of badass move he just pulled to defeat red rackam
I wonder how none of the pirates woke up during the fight
Here's a History Information Fact for you to know.
The First Union Flag of Britain dates back to His Majesty King James the 1st. 1606.
Gunpowder, Treason and Plot 1605.
St George & St Andrew together firstly.
England & Scotland.
The St Patrick of Ireland joined the Union Flag on the 1st January 1801.
Reign of His Majesty King George the 3rd.
Will someone competent please give us a sequel?
Is Peter Jackson good enough?
2027
2:28 he didn’t kept his promise
Because he’s a pirate
A pirate don't give a fuck about promise
The miniature goes more hard than we though...
This is how yamarto sink
Bold move having people drown, shot, constantly drinking, stabbed, and show blood in a PG kids movie
I love the movie but seriously, was Haddock psychic or something? How the heck could he know what Rackham looked like?
He realised Rackham was his descendant
@@Yeahimman32 You mean that Sakharine was Rackham's descendant. And sure, I get that, but how could Haddock _possibly_ have figured that out?
I’m fucking losing it. I thought they made an epic rap battles of history parody of these guys.

As a lifelong Tintin fan, I found this film to be quite abysmal.
