It’s not smug if it’s true. I mean, everything Raph did just proved him right.

TMNT 2007 should've got a Sequel or better yet a Trilogy 💯
ong my childhood
They were originally supposed to, but something happened and they just couldn’t do it.
But it was technically a sequel to the OG 90's films the trophy room and references to Shredder being dead all give it away that it is connected
Meh, I enjoyed this movie as it is.
Besides, even if this is the 4th movie from the 90's TMNT movie trilogy that the ENTIRE TMNT fandom obviously loves more than anything else?? those three movies along with the original comic series and Fred Wolf cartoon never really clicked me as this one and the 2003 cartoon did lol.
@@Pun1Sh3r_360 No offense but those OG 90's films even tho' I still love the 90's for other media like Beast Wars and Gargoyles never really clicked me as this one did lol.
A detail about this fight I love is that you can tell early on when Leonardo doesn’t know that the Nightwatcher is Raphael he’s using his anger to his advantage, he sees that the Nightwatcher has a temper and so every time he misses a blow on Leo Leo taunts him to agitate him even more and in turn it makes the Nightwatcher’s hits more sluggish and predictable to him
Well I mean it doesn’t help that Raph is in a metal suit that also hinders his movements
This fight is worth the whole movie
Oh definitely! I STILL get shivers when I see this fight!

Honestly, I loved that bit of one-upsmanship. It hints that while Leonardo loves his brothers, he doesn't think much of them. He also thinks that he is supposed to be the leader, as opposed to simply being the guy who voices action (the other three won't do that).
Such an emotionally charged scene. Brilliant. I call it draw because Leo takes down Raph in the first exchange. Also, in the second exchange Leo is fighting angry when at first when he didn't know it was Raph he was calm and in control.
It's true. Both brothers are wrestling with their own issues as they fight each other. Leo could have killed Raph when he had him cornered on the wall. I wish they had shown how horrified Raph was when he pinned Leo to the ground. Their fight and eventual healing was very powerful.
Raph is more skilled with Sai too
@@petrxvicprobably also Sai were specifically designed to counter Katana.

I absolutely love TMNT. In fact, out of all of them, it's by far my favorite. Rather than play off of the original trilogy, which it does kind of have an Easter Egg towards, it focuses on its own original story, which I think really helps it. It focuses on family, and the need for the Turtles to work together, and what it means to be a leader when the family is basically so distanced from each other, they might as well be estranged. Also, having such a star studded cast in it just made it all the better, and it showed that Nolan North can literally be anyone in any film, movie, television series, or video game, and the only thing you need to know is whether he can pull off that character or not. And man oh man did he deliver on that Raphael.

This may seem like a long stretch, but I've always thought of this scene as the culmination of the rivalry these two had. The symbolism behind the shot of Leo's Katana (or Ninjato) scraping the ground shows that he's holding back, compared to Raph, who was out for blood.
And the way their weapons is used opposite of their purpose (Leo is more on the defensive while Raph was more on the offensive) just makes this movie so awesome. Though, it might be bias, but goddamn, I LOVE this movie.
Raph wasn’t trying to kill Leo or out for blood, he wouldn’t kill him. He wanted to just defeat him like Leo wanted to. Look at the end. That’s when raph got angry and look at how easy he took him down, they both weren’t really holding back. This was more of them training except there really mad and it’s more serious and deep then that.
@@gehrigrozakis5401nah Leo was holding back. Ralp had already lost until he revealed himself.

I have it on disc and digits.
The whole “you can’t change the world like this” line does show just how imperspective Leo actually is in this movie. He tries to find the bigger picture when there is none. Raph isn’t doing this to change the world, he’s just trying to help the people living in it.
Leonardo and Raphael were always my 2 favorite turtles, because their differing viewpoints are so fascinating, because they’re so different yet so similar, and it’s like the 2 are intertwined with each other, Leonardo leads with order and discipline but Raphael’s desire to take action and face things head on forces him to act against the restrictions he and Splinter set, meanwhile Leonardo’s sense of discipline ultimately keeps Raphael in line and stops him from going too far, in a sense the 2 of them need each other because each of them balances out the otherwise extremist viewpoint the other has

@Narwhal12 I originally thought that was a killing shot to, but now that I think about it, it really wasn't. Ralph could easily dodge that, and Leo could have used several different moves that would almost guaranteed a hit, yet he chose the one that probably has the least chance of working in a fight against a highly trained assassin.
This fight was my favorite scene
One of the best scenes in TMNT history
Man, this movie brings back memories when 2003 and 2007 were my first introduction before I tried to force the 80's comic and cartoon series' and the 90's movie trilogy right down my throat because the truth is? those three old pieces of junk never really clicked me like how 2003 and this 2007 movie did, good thing while those two are still my favorite that I also had a soft spot for the other TMNT iterations such as 2012,the 2014-16 live action duology that I enjoyed as guilty pleasures,Rise,Mutant Mayhem, and of course the upcoming Tales of the TMNT cartoon, plus that Last Ronin comic series I read last year was way more enjoyable to me than the original comic series ever was XD lmao.

Feels like Raph was the most upset by Leo leaving
2:25- 2:38 Leo: “YOU ARENT READY! UR IMPATIENT! HOT TEMPERED! More importantly, I’m better than you!
Raph: “😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 You know something big brother. I’m gonna have to disagree with you on that one.”
*Sais ready*
Leo: “Don’t do this Raph.”
Raphael: “I’m done taking orders!”
At that moment, I knew it was about to go down but if you saw the whole thing. You knew who was coming out on top. See, Leo thinks that once he came back, it’s all gonna be bliss. But when he went 1v1 with Raph, he was clearly screwed but you can tell Leo was holding back. It almost looked like how Shredder beat Hamato Yoshi (Splinter) during his younger days but Splinter still had the upper hand. In this case, Raph better consider himself lucky cause if Leo went off, dang
1:18 I remember in the theaters people went NUTS!!!!
This is one of my favorite fight scenes
Leo didn't mean he was better in a physical way. He meant it mentally because according to their master, Leo has the most discipline and most control. He doesn't actually consider himself better than his brothers, he knows they are all special in their own way. He was just trying to make Raph see that he is not being reasonable thinking he is ready to be a leader and hating him when all he was doing was simply obeying his master and being on his own for a while. Leo didn't want to fight Raph but Raph blinded by his rage, did not care. That right there shows why Leo is the leader.
Exactly
ITS STILL BETTER THAN ANIMATION TODAY. This movie slapped man 🥲
Okay that's a stretch bro, the animation is good but not outstanding
@@Incognito_720For 2007 it holds up really well, was probably mind blowing back then, considering a fairly modest budget of the movie. Can only imagine how a movie in this style would look nowadays :(

Better than any of the new live action movies,
Saying I am better is not a way to be a good leader. He used the Sais perfectly against the katana.
Nobody talks about how badly Splinter screwed up as their father lol
I never thought about how much experience Leonardo would have against chain like weapons since he spars with Mikey
The video I never new I needed
Probably one of the one best scene in the entire movie series in TMNT history. I am making a script just to see what it will take me. It going to be dark like the comics, have the lighthearted spirit of the turtles of the 90s, and storylines that people would want to see. Each film will focus on one character, until the last two films will be the ronin storyline.
Loved watching this movie since I was little XD !!!!

So leo encounters who he thinks is a new vigilante hero he never met before, and proceeds to just start lecturing, insulting and undermining the guy?
No wonder raph hayes him

I wish this clip had kept the scene where Raph was horrified after this. What I find so powerful about this scene is that both brothers are taking out their issues on each other and both could have landed killing blows but didn't. Although it appears that Raph got the upper hand at the end, at 3:25, Leo could have sliced right through his neck or forced him to yield but the blade is pointed straight, not inward, with Raph just wincing to the right. If Leo wanted to kill him, he could have. This is one of my favorite TMNT films and the relationship and eventual healing of these brothers is shown beautifully.
Leo:Goodnight Dark Prince
A game in this art style would be so sick 🔥🔥🔥🔥
One thing that always stuck out to me is that Casey figured out it was Raph instantly, but Leo didn't know until the helmet was knocked off.
This was 10 times better than Michael Bay movies
I had to be 6 or 7 when I saw this movie. All I remember was this scene
Leo fans were in distraught when he lost lmao
true leo fans knew he was holding back once the helmet came off.... a win's a win and all but it's not a devastating L if the win was practically handed over to raph
