Yesterday I have changed the front bearings, due to their usage at almost 38.000 Km.
You will understand in this video why I had to changed them so fast...
The codes of the original front bearings replacement kit:
- 91053-MGS-D31 (XBOX21)
- 91252-mc4-013 (B1A06)

Checked mine at 35k km. They were absolutely in perfect condition. Took off the dust cap, added some grease (still plenty in there), put the dust cap back on. But I did replace the seals (simmerings). The old seals were still ok but a bit worn. Never use a power washer but I drive in rain.
I just bought my self a pressure washer, but a weak one battery powered :D
I struggle to keep mine dry, unfortunately no garage.

The mounting method is wrong. No lateral force should be applied to inner ring. The force you apply once opens to canal of balls wider than it should be. As a result the bearing will wear out quicker. It should be assembled by a wedge covering the outer ring completely.

In addition, not applying force to the entire outer ring at a single time will cause the bearing house to expand. Thanx. 🖐

Hi! Did you have your ABS rings painted or powder coated? Because mine have some rust spots and I am planning to apply ACF50 to the whole bike and add a little to the ABS rings hoping I won't put ACF50 on my disc brakes :))
I haven't seen them, let me check them out
Try Hammerite Kurust, had the same thing and two thin light coats later it's a purple/black colour. Can spread it thin whilst still on (let dry before rotating, don't want it near ABS sensor).
check your brake fluid also as pressure washing has a tendency to get in.
I will change it this month
Did you need any special tool for the removal of the old bearings?
Some have a special tool called "bearing extraction/removal tool", other use classic hammer and screwdriver.
I had to change mine at 18k miles, it pressure washers that do it.
Yes, still without the pressure washer I've heard a case at 27K

Nea mecanicul asta nu prea imi inspira incredere. Fara ciocan de teflon, fara banc de lucru. Pai daca avea scula potrivita, strangea rulmentii pe roata dinainte de a pune roata in furca, nu sa traga cu ranga de axul rotii fata. Si daca e doar un prieten care vrea sa ajute, e de evitat. Cu stima.
