Hey man, sick work you've got right there. Just quick questions: why not drill the meth ports on the manifold directly instead of going through all this headache?. Also, how's the difference? I am really interested on how that will impact performance. I really appreciate your efforts keep it up!
Great questions. As a matter of fact I have a version now with 6 helicoil treaded inserts for nozzles 👍🏼. As far as performance I believe it helped. I did hit 10's with it in, it's lowered Mt IAT'S, and getting to plug 3 is super easy now.
You wanna sell some of these? I'd buy the spacer with all the required hardware and try this. I probably won't port anything because I've never done it before but I've removed the intake already once to do the plugs because I don't have the fancy swivel tools needed to do it without taking it off. This is of course after you test it and put it through it's paces and prove it actually does something. Just being able to get to the plugs would be a huge benefit. If you have a CAD drawing I know a place that could make one of these out of aluminum using a CNC laser cutter. With a lot of boost I'd prefer a metal riser and maybe only 3/4" tall. Nice job though trying new things, that's what makes this all fun. Thanks for taking the time to make a video about this.
I ran an 11.011 last night :) A new Personal record. I do plan on making more and soon. I wouldn't recommend aluminum though, it conducts heat as opposed to Phenolic that insulates. The CAD is close hold, I spent 40+ hours 3d programming it. My next run I'm going to shoot for the 8 holes, it will a few bucks for the machining but an easier turnkey product.
@@StingerGT2 so for paper slips, 10.942 #1, 10.977#2, and me at 11.011. I was 11.06 but considering I just bolted this thing on and haven't tuned the car to it yet, it's got way more potential 😁
Never used a spacer on a turbo car. Ill be curious to hear how it works. Turned my V6 camaro into a beast with a lot more low end and midrange. How did ypu make that? I'd be curious to have a 3/8 to 1/2" one.
I bought a used lower intake off Ebay, and used it to CAD the ovals and overall shape. Then I bought a chunk of 1" Micarta (Phenolic) and sent it to a buddy who runs a water jet machine. I didn't have him put the holes in for two reasons. Cost, and it's difficult to pierce something that thick.
@@stinger_gt219 there was nothing universal about it unfortunately. Everything was custom fabricated. The only way to show it is a video which I plan on making soon
Yes, I took it to the track the next day and ran a personal record, 11.01. it worked. Since, I promised the girlfriend to put the back as a daily until 1 Jan 🤣. After that it's game on with fine tuning it.
First thing I thought when you had it back together was those plugs will be easier! Very nice sir!
Are you still making these? And with the ports in them too?
I sell then on stingertop20.com with pre-made gaskets also
Would have loved to see this in phenolic but it's cool to see you moving forward with this idea!
This is phenolic sheet👍
The Genesis Coupe 3.8 gained about 8-10whp with their spacer. Excited to see the dyno numbers.
I just got back from the track, let's just say I got a new PR and a bump on the list 😉
@@awdgt2stinger270 Can't wait to see the video!
Interesting

Killing me here! What kind of numbers did you get over the weekend? This is a great idea, especially to add injection or nitrous.
11.011" :)
@@awdgt2stinger270 What was your previous fast time? I know one person ran a 10.96 in the forums.

@@awdgt2stinger270 Yes, looking forward to see what you do next.
Definitely interested!!!! I've been Brainstorming on how to go faster lol.
More are coming soon 🙂
I can't wait until you get this fine tuned and take back your number 3 spot from me. I love some competition.
LOL, I'm trying!

Bro, when you get racing seats. Where do you plug the harness ? Does it light up on your dash? Like the airbag thing?
No electrical harness needed, you only get an airbag light on the dash
@@awdgt2stinger270 do you happen to have measurements ? Or any universal will fit?
