  • Hi all,
    Happy Holidays, I figured I would release the videos on how I quilt a Dream Big with Pro-Stitcher before the end of the month. This will be a two part series, one will release today and I'm hoping to get the other one out on Sunday. The first video is doing the whole first pass of the dream big using the Wasatch Quilting pattern. I will link the pattern and the thread I used down below. The second video will show the second pass, how to advance and give some other advice. I didn't record the whole process because that would have made for a REALLY LONG video. These should give you the idea. Remember these designs were made specifically for this pattern, so you shouldn't have to adjust them to much, just move them into the right direction. The key is to load the panel straight! Also, if things get off a bit, it's ok. The top is going to shift some and I find that you don't notice in the long run.
    Have fun, like and subscribe to the channel and remember to hit the bell to be notified when new videos come out.
    Please share this video on social media, so everyone can dream big.
    Thanks for watching,
    Adam Sew Fun

    New quilter here. Have not done anything but edge to edge, but have done a lot of that. For the first time, I feel like I can do these panels. You are a wonderful teacher and you instill confidence in me. I so appreciate you! Stay tuned, it will get done as soon as Christmas quilting is finished. LOL

    Adam I really enjoyed this video, I am a new LA and now see I have endless capabilities. I have a Judy Niemeyer Vintage Rose Queen I would like to quilt in this same manner. Where do I find these types of patterns or what do I need to search for specifically. TYIA for your help.

  • @Thisonegirl_NAOMI
    @Thisonegirl_NAOMI Рік тому +1

    Adam, 1. How did you have the quilt patterns for the pedals already done? Did you previously do them & then saved them?
    2. On the Pro-stitcher, did you have to make a frame space 1st? I just saw you work with the area for each petal - each time you were finished fitting in the pattern, you cleared the area

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun.  Рік тому

      I have a video that show how I baste a wholecloth quilt. The patter was purchased from Wasatch Quilting, you can search Dream Big. There are a few available from different companies. Quiltable.com also has one (make sure you are looking at the correct flower one) and I have a code ASF10 with them that will save you 10% off the purchase.
      Create an area, place the design, baseline and repeat the process. You can only have one area at a time, so you make one, use it, then delete.
      Frame Space is only needed if you are using a Pro-Stitcher Lite.

    I bought the dream big panel “opal” in the 108” by 108” size. I am trying to find someone to cut the panel down to queen size and quilt it for me. I love how the pedals have such beautiful designs. Do you know anyone who would be able to do this for me?

  • @lisaporche1411
    @lisaporche1411 3 роки тому +1

    I noticed you didn’t baseline, was there a specific reason ? Also what brand of thread are you using 😊. This video was awesome and exactly what I needed to get started and concur my fear !! Thanks so much Adam !!

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun.  3 роки тому +5

      I didn't baseline because I didn't change the designs in anyway. I just had to move them to the correct spot. I also didn't want to baseline when they were all selected, because I wanted them to stay separate elements and not 1 big unit. In so places I delete parts of rows I stitched and baselining the group together wouldn't let me do this. I hope that makes sense?
      Also, your's is going to look great!!

    Hey adam this great! I was wondering how you were moving the design with out touching the screen?

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun.  2 роки тому

      If you select drag (turns green and says drop) you can move designs by moving the machine. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HIT DROP when you have it where you want it.

    To move a design within an area I modify, reposition.... How do you do the drop and drag?

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun.  3 роки тому

      There should be a button on the left side of the screen (one of the 10 little icons on the left) that says Drag. Select that and it will turn green and say Drop. Once you select drag, you can move the design. When you have it where you want it, make sure you hit drop to leave it there.

    how do I transfer from Wasatch to thumb drive to pro stitcher. The pro stitcher doesn't show the picture. Thank you... love your instructions.

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun.  3 роки тому

      I'm not sure I am fully understanding the question. I had the photo on my iPad and opened each design in my Pro-Stitcher and moved them in. I kept referring back to my iPad and the Wasatch directions.

    Did the machine stop after one petal and then go on and quilt the rest? I know you 'set' each one but when it quilts is what I'm interested in.

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun.  3 роки тому +2

      I set my auto-jumps to "zero" so I can tie off each time. So I would tie off and move the machine to the next one and hit resume to start the next petal. I hope that helps.

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun.  2 роки тому +1

      You don't have to assign them, when you are in your Area Tab, those functions override whatever you had assigned there. As long as you have an Amara, Forte, or Infinity, you have the buttons when in the area tab.
