But definitely a fun project, and I did like how it turned out so I I went on to a second (kitbash) shortly after. I have plans and kits for a couple more in the future, though I'm not sure when I'll get to them.
An interesting couple of kits Jess 🐌,have you ever been to a monster truck show ? Or seen Simpson's Truckasuraus😂😂. I too am a box art collector and instructions hoarder much to my wife's annoyance 😱😱. My fist RC car was the Tamiya Wild Willy Jeep with the Big wheels .

As a teen, my bedroom wall was covered with the box art from cars and a whole bunch of 1/72 scale armor from Hasawaga, they had great box art. 2 questions, why are you using a 1/24 frame and suspension for a 1/25 body? And why are you using Dodge stuff for a Chevy? (Not that I'm a die hard fan of any brand, just curious)
Cool! So in the show the specific truck I’m building has a Chevy body. I will have to modify the frame and chassis. Trying to get it as accurate to “The Redeemer” as possible.
After I sent that, I remembered that you watched another show of how it was built, so that will be a really good reference! I've been thinking the same thing for the black pickup that Sylvester Stalone used in The Expendables. They made 3 of those trucks, 1 for the normal scenes, 1 that got wrecked, and the other just for Stalone to keep. There's a vid of him driving his kid to school in it LOL @@scalemodelsnail

Just saw HEMI on the monster truck your using for a base, and now days most monster trucks have mid mounted engines which are half exposed to keep the center of gravity low and balanced. I belive 557 is going to be a bored out 454 with bigger heads on it. At least I know this was true for my Keith Black 510.
@@SC92176 Yeah it’s definitely not your average monster truck. It was made for a show to mostly do tricks and whip around without toppling over. This is all new to me so we’ll see how it goes 😅

Ummm a 454 and a 426 look nothing alike, so what are you going to do for an engine?
The actual monster truck used a 557 big block chevy. I will have to 3d print and modify that to fit. ☺️
