My grandfather bought the tractor!
Vermont salt is brutal on any vehicle lol
You're right babe
Just go a little north into Quebec and it’s so much worse
@@shanevaughan6980any State or country that gets harsh winters absolutely suck, especially if you're a gear head
6.0L chevys always pull well, and are very powerful, you just have to be willing to get it out of them, cold air intake and a tune made mine a beast.
Diesel or petrol?
@@RohanSanjith wym, chevys 6.0 is a gas only, they've only made diesel 6.6l engine, other than the 3.0 they put in small trucks for mpg economy
I’m glad you were spared the worst of the flooding. My best wishes for everyone affected in VT and everyone else in the northeast impacted.
My family has owned a house in Plymouth for over 30 years and have been visiting Ludlow for all of that time. Prayers for the town as they were just recovering from a long depression and are now faced with this financial calamity.
I have been watching videos of the flooding ...I use to work on State Street in Montpelier...all flooded, Winooski River right up to the bridge... 2 months worth of rain in just a few hours...thanks for posting the info...👍👍
Crazy, as a texan I really sympathize with what you guys are going through. All my best wishes to you guys! Stay dry
Ditto. Houstonian here. Wishing you well.
Thanks for another excellent video! Looks like you got good deals on both trucks. VT flood footage looks really bad so glad you were only minimally affected.
Nice trucks, and good job with sorting that in the warranty. Glad you didn't get affected by the floods, and hope everyone that was affected is ok.❤
Hey man, living down here in Mass I've been to Vermont many times, been watching the floods on the news every day and praying for you all. Nice purchase on the trucks!
Our 2015 is our favorite work truck. Best bang for the buck! We did a video comparing the cost of ownership on several of our work trucks and our 2015 won by a landslide. We purchased one for about $10k under KBB but you picked up that truck for next to nothing!
Yes lots of Vermont has had devastating flooding . I live just North of St Johnsbury , all we received locally is minor road flooding. Wishing anybody that had been affected by the rains and floods the very best in Vermont and surrounding states.
Still not as bad as fort Myers floodings
Wow the floods are terrible, I was thinking about you and Waldo in NH with the flooding. Stay safe up there.
It's global warming mate
Still atleast not as bad as fort Myers floodings
I have family in Vermont and I've been updated about the flooding. I wish you guys luck
Glad you and your family are safe. The flooding in VT is astonishing, hope people are safe. I hate to say it, but AAMCO probably tried to deny coverage because you are young, thought they could take advantage of you. No matter what you do in life you will be successful, you have a tremendous work ethic that will take you to success.
Hey Q-man, good purchases! I'm in Nebraska, and heard about the flooding, and was thinking about ya, and felt bad for the VT folk who suffered damage.
Wow so sad to hear about the floods I'm in british coloumbia and we got floods in 2021 and that was devastating to see as a lot of farmland was ruined and major highways were swept away that are still being rebuilt. Hope to see vermont recover in the time to come
Holy water! I'm glad you are safe, but wow, alot of damage there. I had heard it was bad but wow. Stay dry and safe!
East Mississippi/west Alabama received 10-12 inches earlier today. I'm in n.e. central Alabama and luckily only received a trace of rain today. The weather is crazy lately. Congratulations on the truck and stay safe.
Stay safe out there, Rural Vermonter! Been seeing lots of news reports on the flooding. Unbelievable how much rain you guys are getting. Best wishes from Cincinnati!
Any rain in Toledo?
Hope you’re safe with all of this flooding going on brother, great upload as always 🤙🏻
I love your videos and the cars and trucks vans that you bring to your channel keep up the good work man 💯
Always enjoy your vids, very laid back vibe which is a plus, Staysafe,Stay Blessed 😊
jeez your right we need rain up here in canada, its rained 4 times since january in my hometown
Thank you for the flooding footage. I grew up in along the White River. I remember the Old bridge going out in 1964.
I can remember years ago when i was working outside of WRJ at the VA the flooding was awful. I bought a Vermont strong plate to help raise funds.
Do you ever use a fluid film or Surface Shield, it works great for keeping the rust away, I'm surprised that most people don't use it, it saves vehicles
People are too cheap or lazy to get it done! I usually run cars till they start to rot then get something new...
I don't live in the North so I don't use fluid film on my vehicles but I do use it after the mowing season when I clean out my riding mower deck. I use it liberally on the underside after wire brushing. My mover is 17 years old and the deck is still good.
I live in mass and travel regularly to the north county and I fluid film my vehicles every fall, and it definitely keeps the corrosion to a bare minimum
It awesome stuff I used pb blaster surface shield on my new ram no rust for me 😊🛻👍
@@tomstarcevich1147 that's what I use on my 2004 wj, zero rust, looks like new still
Send some rain this way. We are so dry here in Minnesota. Love the videos and what you do. Keep it coming
Glad you're safe. Been thinking about you for a number of days now. Sweet deals on those trucks. Stay safe. From Ft. Myers and still have sunk boats in our river from strong cat 4+ about a year ago. ⚡🌩🌧⚡ get ready for more 👎
Blinking check engine light means it’s a catastrophic misfire that could damage your catalytic converter
We got lucky down here inRutland....some streets flooded ... mainly just and inconvenience.....But over the mountain got hit bad... Glad you made it safe!
Seeing this rust makes me glad that my state (Idaho) doesn’t use road salt. You still see a lot of older cars/trucks like Blue.
So glad to see this video. I was worried about you. Glad you're ok.
I’m glad you and your family made it through. Good luck on your new rig. Now keep this one 😂. Until the next one.
That flooding was crazy. I can’t imagine what the flooding is like back in ct where I’m from. Currently I’m in cape cod on vacation, last year we were in a drought, now it’s flash flooding.
Thats awesome news glad they finally came through in the end. It's amazing what companies will try to squeeze out of warranty work. Friend had a 2500 chevy once which had multiple times a wire harness replaced under warranty, known issue on them apparently. The last time it was in they noticed he put a cold air intake on. They refused replacing the harness even though it had failed twice before with no intake change. Then to be even nicer they red flagged it and called up GM to ensure the warranty was voided in total. No clue why they didnt just have him swap the intake out. Oddly enough he continued driving GM for years after, last new one though.
Literally The Day After You Uploaded This Video We Received 10+ Inches Of Rain In Southern Arkansas. But It Was Localized To A Few Counties Unlike Vermont Was Statewide
Great Video Keep Up The Content Coming
Stay dry man. And send some rain to the Midwest really dry here. This El Niño year is tough on us all in different ways. Thanks for vid and good luck with the ‘15
Funny how shops work on vehicles and offer warranties but then try and get out of them by saying it’s not there fault, glad you got it fixed under warranty!!
Looks like you got two good deals. Good going!
The 6.0’s can actually be pretty powerful units if you tune and remove torque management from the ECU. My dads got a 06 1500HD with the LQ4 and he tuned the computer and that truck will spin 33’s in 3rd gear. Also will tow my 83 C/10 like it’s not even back there
Hey man I am from Maine not to far away from Vermont i have lived here my whole 21 years and we got nothing compared to what you guys got down there I hope everything works out well in the end
A quick comment, just after I heard the "solid" rod knock sound the "kiss your engine goodbye" light came on.
Really sorry to see all the flooding, hopefully everyone's insurance is up to snuff. That knock sounds "tinny", a rod knock is more of a solid sound.
Another great video. Just like you I didn't have much for puddles up here in Burlington.
I used to roll thru ludlow in my 18whler. That’s crazy. Way worse than the flooding several years ago. Forgot the event.... nice truck great price
Good deal on that truck. i currently have an 08 2500 gmc 6.0 with 340k miles and i love it but eventually even though GM is junk i still want a 2015+ style 2500hd crew cab. I dont do payments so i'm just waiting until i can just buy one out right but its good to see this one sold for that great price.
Glad you are safe!
Those floods sure did a number on VT and NH. A train trestle near me got unseated and shifted a few days after the worst of the floods.
ARV, glad you were spared a lot of the flooding hassle. Also glad they covered the flex plate. Here’s hoping the weather gets better in the NE. Love your channel, love the content, and for all the trolls F them. Making content isn’t easy and it always amazes me how keyboard warriors as so quick to judge
What were the trolls?
I love just across the border north of richford and I saw a video of richford and the water was very high. Very sorry about these floods. Here in Quebec we had some too but no where near as bad
Glad you are not impacted by the flooding!
Some great GM buys!!!
Update on the CD?
You made my day with this video
Never would have thought the flooding would have gotten this bad or that you bought two trucks from my past job!😂
Wow how do you find these?
Awesome!!! Always love the videos! I thought I seen a gmc Manuel maybe? What’s going on with that!? 😂lol
i use to live northeast. ive never seen it that bad. stay safe my man
Man I thought the rain was bad in Maryland . Nice truck tho 👌
You were LUCKY to make it out of Burlington in time, truck and tranny could have become flood victims! Western NH also had road washouts/flooding. Here's hoping everyone is safe, and patient with the recovery process. Great deals on the trucks.
That’s a keeper nice truck
You should put a nice set of wheels onto it, remove the back rack and replace it with a roll up cover and get the rust repaired and it would be a nice daily.
Glad you’ve got good friends to help
Glad you’re ok
Classic Chevys always having engine lights on nah Jk good score man wish you kept the 2013 that thing was sick but hope your holding in good with all that flooding
Thanks for thinking about us Canadians with the fires :)
Stay safe Sir !
Take care and want you all to stay safe.
Fellow Vermonter 👋... If you are ever in Ludlow stop in at village pizza 😉
I hope you protected the blue truck from rust, that’s still my favorite one you ever picked up because of the condition
Yep she’s undercoted
Could use some of that rain in southern Arizona. Stay safe.
Glad to see you still have old blue! GMT400's are great trucks! The best Chevrolet ever built IMHO.
Dude, that's a SCORE!
Good to see you are ok, but many in VT are getting hit hard by those '1000 year' floods. I live in Northern NJ and familiar with the destruction from big floods. About 40 miles north of me in the Hudson Valley of NY saw some of the worst flooding they have had in decades.
As to the trucks, that is not rust, that is Vermont Patina. 😁 Another set of good purchases for the money and your needs. Good due to your persistence you got the transmission fixed. What is the status of the tractor trailer ?
thanks! big truck is just sitting right now waiting for me to get it ready for work
Hi from Vermont be safe
05:12 I used to work at that Toyota dealer, cool to see on UA-cam!
i love that blue z71 you have
thanks!
Not a bad thing to get 2 trucks for the price of $5250 a piece when you devide them by 2
You did a good job of cleaning that truck up. But be careful -- shortcuts usually cost in the end, there, Mark McGwire.
Score.. I would 100% buy the 2013 for $4000
Even the 6500 he paid for the 2015 was cheap for the 2013. He got super good deals on these wow.
I still own my 02 Silverado I bought new , has 117,000,,it has zero rust on the frame or body,,I live in Arizona,,,the stickers are still on the frame!
As a Minnesotan I understand your rust issues very well.
Minneapolis?
Flywheel bolts!! Had same issue on my Chevy 2500
Where do you list vehicles. I don't live over in NY state and you had a few trucks that are interesting
Good job man
Something is telling me that my man got a juicy FEMA contract and is working from six am to ten at night. All federal DOT laws are excused during disaster recovery. Alot of environmental stuff also. That state has alot to get done before winter.
What were you doing with that obs manual transmission truck on the trailer
Seems like there should be a shop that does undercoating on every corner in town, is that true? Would it or does it help prevent or slow down rust, referring to your region?
Cool, stay safe 🥰
I have a Chevy 3500 with the 6letter.i have no problem with the power it has
Yup. I have a 2012 Sierra with 125,000 miles and have had to replace 2 pushrods and have have had oil pressure issues.
Not use 0w 20?
Hopefully that blinking CEL isn’t a DOD issue. Those are brutally expensive.
I'm surprised you did not address that misfire yet. That is not good for that truck.
its next on the list. all i did was drive it home and the flex plate went
That's alot of rain stay safe
Those prices are so cheap wow!
Fender flares to hide the rust on the 13 , not bad
Sadly you get what you pay for. Kinda crazy seeing that truck and a 2013 both go to you for 10k like damn one of those trucks is usually 10x the amount they went for I knew it was to good to b true. Good luck man
u make good videos.
Bro I know you haha I came and bought your raven and checked out your Jeep in the woods
Haha cool
They salt the roads in the summertime also in Vermont
you're gonna have a lot of mosquitoes this year, lol
AAMCO and those quick oil change places. Always stories of post service problems.
AAMCO will do anything to not have to honor their warranty.
