First time doing something like this, really difficult but I'm proud of the result!

Okay, I came to see some nice animatics with my boy Dib only to be called out by the song SO HARD. Like, this describes my current situation as a college literature major struggling to stay motivated enough to do anything so much it hurts.
Hey dude! I'm sorry this is a super late reply but I want you to know that it's ok to have those feelings and hat I hope you can find a way to work through them , (maybe Dib would have stayed if he'd been studying something he actually enjoyed). If you've got a passion, that in of itself can help you stick with it. But if not, if you decide you wanna start again and do something else, that's ok too. I, for one, am behind you 100%.
I know the feeling...art and design degree in the works and working as a graphic designer...had to take a break from school between associates and bachelors to regain some funda via the work force and my boss is such a dick...

I absolutely loved this. Dib realized going off to college wasn’t exactly what he’d expected nor what he wanted.
Being away from one another is hard and they finally realized this and came together again and I absolutely love it.

I like to go back to this when I need to feel something. The part where Zim slides down his tower to fix the dib doll, where Dib runs after the Zim look alike and where Zim pats Girs head and my favorites. aw that's kinda cute. I mean, it wouldn't happen with the way their characters are. Zim is stubborn and even if he thought of Dib as a friend he wouldn't admit it. Dib is a nutball (which is why I love him) and would probably only be friends with Zim if Zim started.. being around him more.. I guess? Dib doesn't have any friends and his family doesn't really care about him, so Zim showing any kind of interest in his existence would start something, even negative interest. As I'm typing this comment I'm slowly realizing why this kind of works, but I don't think their possible friendship would be as close as in this video.I think they would gain a slow respect for eachother, Dib unconsciously starting to look for Zim in a room and Zim starting to begrudgingly let Dib be near him. I think Zim would still try to invade Earth, and I think Dib would still try to capture Zim, and this would just be an unspoken part of their friendship. They'd both understand that it was a competition and someone would have to lose. That said, I do like seeing Dib happy, so I like this video.
Dunno why I analyzed this, lol. I guess I just find relationships and the way people behave interesting, even if it is fictional. Fictional people wouldn't be interesting if their personalities didn't reflect human personalities in some form.
they kinda have a batman and the joker with a pinch of Doctor D and Perry the Platypus dynamic one could say. The joker can not function without batman, as seen in the many canon type thing involving batman up and poofing the joker kinda shuts down. An evil scheme isn't as fun when the good guy isn't around to be defeated by it. Joker has an unhealthy obsecion with the dark knight, like man legit goes into a depression when he thinks batman is dead, holds a funeral and everything. The other part is that they are ironically the cloeset thing to a friend the other has honestly.

failed attempt to call the tallest #4816- seems like the tallest and the irken armada either got whiped out or decided to permanently cut ties with Zim and just fucking ignore him- eventually Zim would stop trying to capture the earth because what's the point? I feel like when Zim realizes there's no reason in continuing his invasion that's when the friendship would properly begin as more than just a rival-ship so to speak
What's interesting is that in the comics, there's a moment where Dib is falling to earth, and Zim is right behind him in his ship. As he's falling, Zim wants to save him, but then Gir questions him. Upon being questioned, Zim decides not to catch him. However, due to previous events in the comic of Dib drinking a mutation potion thing, he survives, but it's really interesting that Zim's first reaction is to catch and save Him.

AHHH it's really satisfying how you made the lyrics apply to the story! I guess I knew there was going to be an actual spaceship in the video, but still. And it's a great progression of angst leading to a happy ending, and I'm just feeling emotions, man.

The small interlude between scenes almost mirrors the album cover for this Art Society, which I think is very clever! very cute animation ♥️
The small detail at 0:12 where the dad isn't really there to watch his son leave is REALLY depressing but is so accurate to the dad in the show.
I read a fanfic that reminded me of this, it's by andystarr and if I'm correct its called time & space, it's really good I 100 percent recommend it
This is actually true to the Mopinness of Doom Episode because in that episode Dib stops trying to stop Zim after all of his failures to stop Zim and then Dib starts working with his Dad and Zim is depressed about it because he actually wants to do what he used to do with Dib but couldn’t so he asks GIR to go to Dib and tell Dib how much Zim misses being enemies and then Later on Professor Membrane tells Dib what he can do with his life on what he wants to do or become and then Dib gets back into Battling Zim.
