    You went into fast forward mode right at the point of connecting the device. It is not at all obvious which connector on the main harness is the right one. Is there a ‘cover’ on the one I’m supposed to use??

      Freeze frame at 3:16. It is the connection my ring finger is resting on. It is plugged into a blank female end - you can put terminals in the female end and make your own connector if you go with after market.

    Hello, what program and what device can I use to read this motorcycle in more detail? For a year now I have been suffering from the lack of cruise control, after turning it on it does not respond to the buttons for decreasing and increasing speed, therefore the cruise control does not work, I would like to look for the error in the motorcycle itself

    • @BlueEyedRider84
      @BlueEyedRider84 13 днів тому

      That's going to be a tough one. There are tuners out there that you can tune motorcycles with - sort of like HP Tuners for cars, but I don't think it's going to get you into the stuff like cruise control. I will have to dig more on this one for you to see what I can find, I just don't know anything off the top of my head.

    Change your sub frame bolts and get the Shad rack and top box the SX 58 is brilliant used it with the OME side panniers for a month long two up European trip. No issues with either the sub frame or stability.

      I got the Ventura mount - it redistributes the weight so the bolts aren't as necessary. I will still probably replace them just for peace of mind, but otherwise the setup has been great. Thanks for the input!

    So, in regards to anti freeze, for those of us that live down under, the temperature here, even in the coldest days of winter (right now for us at time of writing) never drops below 0, is it still a necessity to use it??

    • @BlueEyedRider84
      @BlueEyedRider84 Місяць тому

      You must use some form of anti-corrosive/lubricative coolant alternative. Racers use stuff like redline water wetter: amzn.to/3WgIuuZ If you run plain distilled water your system will eventually corrode and the water pump will fail.

      You need the relay - whether you use theirs or someone else's is up to you, but otherwise you don't need anything else unless you want the feature. For example, the turn signal splitter is great if you plan on using other signal indicators as well as the integrated signal. The control switch is only if you want to program the taillight for different effects: 1) TURN THE STARTUP SEQUENCE ON/OFF. 2) SET THE BRAKE ALERT PATTERN (SEE SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRAMMING MANUAL AT HTTP://WWW.CUSTOMLED.COM ON PRODUCT PAGE) 3) SET THE RUNNING LIGHT BRIGHTNESS WITHIN A PRESET RANGE. 4) SET THE BRAKE LIGHT BRIGHTNESS WITHIN A PRESET RANGE. 5) ENTER DEMO MODE. (USEFUL FOR BIKE SHOWS AND DISPLAYS) 6) RESET FACTORY DEFAULTS (SAME AS WHEN THE TAIL LIGHT WAS MANUFACTURED). The only accessory I got was the relay, I didn't get any of the other items.

    The only gripe I have with the Nolan N100-5 Plus is the fitment. I'm normally a L on AGV, Shoei and MT Helmet, but the Nolan's N100-5 plus fits too snug with my chin barely caressing the chin bar... oh wells.

    • @BlueEyedRider84

      I still do have the stock exhaust. I'm still deciding on what I want to do before spending the money. I really hate the unsightly stock exhaust in it's entirety so leaning towards a full system but that requires a tune which will void warranty. It may also end up being too loud, as like you, I just want a nicer tone and cleaner look, not anything obnoxiously loud. If I were to do slip ok I've been considering the akra, but I have not heard it or the yosh in person to really be able to offer a sound perspective for you. Ride safe!

      @BlueEyedRider84 2 місяці тому

      @MrNeilg71 after the flushes you only used 2 or for the final fill? Unless you blow the system out and make it completely empty it won't take the full 2.9. I think my full fill used about 2.3, but I'd have to go out in the garage and look to be certain to see what's left in the container. If you flushed with the coolant and still only used 2 l with the flush and filling then something isn't right. The Kawasaki service manual says 2.7L, which doesn't help your question but just wanted to mention it.

      Niestety musiałbym zdjąć kamerę z roweru, aby nagrać film na temat jej montażu. Żałuję, że nie nakręciłem filmu, kiedy go instalowałem, ale niestety tak się nie stało.

      What do you mean they don't do anything at all? Are they not lowering the volume at all? If that's the case do you have the red filter piece in? They should definitely be reducing the wind and road noise by a good bit.

      So the good news is this weeks video (releasing on Friday) is for this. If it is set on for the dealer service setting then you have to have a dealer turn it off (sorry, there is no other way). For oil service and rider service setting, you can go into the menu, go down to service and turn them on or off and change the settings there. Press and hold setting button for 3+ seconds Scroll down on menu to service Oil setting will be default, scroll down to see rider setting (this is the one most people miss because they don't notice they need to scroll down). Again, video is coming on Friday if you need visual tutorial.

    I have the opposite problem; my brake is not biting the piston, and its factory like that bike is 22 with 3k miles on it the rear brakes seem never to have been used in the past

      I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you are saying. Are you saying the pad is never pressed by the piston so the brake never gets used? If that's the case it sounds like fluid isn't getting into the piston

    How is the trunk holding up with bags on?

    • @BlueEyedRider84
      @BlueEyedRider84 3 місяці тому

      So far no issues. I do not overload the trunk, at most 10lbs. My wife hasn't been riding with me lately but the kids have but that is only another 60lbs. However the ventura does a great job at redistribution of the weight. With their bracket the bouncing down the road doesn't stress the subframe even with the side panniers on. All in all very happy so far and again, zero issues.

    • @higgy3273
      @higgy3273 3 місяці тому

      Yeah I don’t plan on putting weight in it with a passenger more of backrest rest does it seem fine when the wife was riding with you or she wasn’t using it as a backrest ?

    Nice quick and concise way to do a coolant change on the NK1. Well done! I like the idea by utilizing the fluid transfer pump ( harbor freight here I come)🤣. The last coolant change I did was on my SV 650 and I used a 50/50 mix of asian vehicle specific coolant that was orange in color. What say ye ? Thanks for again for the informative vlog!

    • @BlueEyedRider84
      @BlueEyedRider84 3 місяці тому

      The fluid transfer pump definitely saves on mess and makes it a lot easier. The coolant should be fine but I will say best practice is to flush the system so it's all the same coolant and doesn't mix with another kind. Even so, regular green is usually cheapest so I just stick with it.

      2024 torque specs will be the same as my videos. Nothing has changed in that regard since 2020. I get all the specs from the service manual, which you can get off the Kawasaki site.

    Nice video, thank you. Happy owner here of a 2019 N1K...amazing ride! Definitely going to score one of these...the sizing grid is interesting. I'm only 5'9" tall, 170 lbs with a 40 inch chest and the matrix has me at a size XL. I understand it goes over my normal riding jacket (which is a Medium) but never purchased anything in XL before....is there leeway in the fitting via the front straps? Better to size up versus down?

    • @BlueEyedRider84
      @BlueEyedRider84 3 місяці тому

      I'm 5'11", 220 lbs with a 42" chest and I have the XL as tight as it will go. For you I think a Large is your best bet. If you order from somewhere like RevZilla there are free returns, but I wish I went with a Large.

    • @NavySWO
