Hearing the full “It’s-a me, Mario” is somehow cursed
This was such a fun stream. It felt like everyone was so invested in the conversation that when we entered Bowser on PB pace there was an "oh shit this run is good" reaction. Then The immediate and unanimous popoff on the final bowser throw when we started realizing this was The Run. It was an amazing night and I can't wait for more like it in the future.
The entire chat went from super chill to maximum hype in an instant it was so good
The intro being a normal "itsa me mario" threw me for a loop

From my experience, I've seen a lot less of vegetarianism being a hot-button issue. It still but the one I've seen much more of is veganism; they seem so much louder (I think PETA is the one you can thank for that). It also doesn't help that many (not all, just the ones I see on social media) guilt trip anyone who so much as eats honey (which didn't even cross my mind as a not vegan item until recently, but thinking about it, it does make sense), which isn't a good way to change people at all. I could become a vegetarian without much problem, but I COULD NOT become vegan. Milk is my favorite beverage of all time, and no exaggeration, I probably drink around half a gallon per day (I tried soy milk; it just doesn't taste the same, and I can't drink almond milk; I'm allergic to almonds). And I was severely offended when PETA said milk causes autism. Well, look at me now, PETA! The funny thing is, before I really drank much milk, I was diagnosed under the Asperger spectrum (I hear it's now labeled under autism) and after the I drank a lot of milk, my autism/Asperger's is so unnoticeable that no one can even tell that I was! Take that, PETA!
"X causes autism" is always just fearmongering. That said, the more meat everyone can cut out of their diets, especially beef, the less screwed we'll be with the climate. No need to be 100% vegetarian, 90% is fine, especially if the 10% is chicken and fish.
The funny thing is that autism’s symptoms are sometimes mitigated by dietary changes, so in fact if they did want to “mitigate autism” they would allow all the dietary options in the world to ensure that some autistic people show as few symptoms as possible.
Ehhhh, it's true, you can enjoy stuff in a vacuum, but certain fanbases love to shove themselves down your throat - That's why I personally dislike things like Undertale
Sammyclassicsonicfan actually has a based view on the fanbase though. Sonic fans flip flop on what they want because they're so desperate to cling onto their childhood memories of playing sa2 or unleashed or something that they will change their views and ask for different things based on the reception of the last dogshit game to come out. Also an actual mega hate boner for the 2d stuff as well for some reason.
It is also worth noting that the last good unquestionable Sonic game is Sonic 3. At the height of Sonic hate, even Adventure was being criticized. Heck, given how 1 and 2 are establishing Sonic and therefore not as polished as 3, Sonic 3 is unfortunately the Sonic game and nothing will measure up to that. The rest is questionable to the point you could argue all games barring 3 (or maybe even specifically 3 & Knuckles) are bad games even if you know what a Sonic platformer is supposed to be like and how it is realized.
That or Adventure given the Adventure games are the only good 3d games because of bad directors and leadership otherwise.
Though I can understand Unleashed given Unleashed is the most unique Sonic game and is also unfortunately a peak in quality.
@@iantaakalla8180 sonic mania is absolutely better than 3 and I'd say that is also unquestionably good. The only issue with mania is the reuse of old stages being more prominent than the new stages. I see that you could argue that no sonic game is better than 3 but mania is absolutely up there.
Sonic Mania is better than 3, but it had to borrow from Sonic 1-3 and then add a few new features. However, it is nice that Mania finally did put one good game out since 2010.
The point is that if you want THE Sonic game that is not only regarded the best but is also the least uncontroversial in of itself as well as its effects on the future of Sonic it is Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Sonic Mania is good on its own and the best Sonic game in years, but given that only it did nicely but Sonic Forces did not save possibly Fist Bump and Infinite being edgy memes, and that the creators of Sonic Mania also made a questionable racing game, Sonic Mania (along with Forces) cemented that it is now impossible for the Sonic franchise to have a good modern game at all because the writing will be trying too hard, the story will suck, and the gameplay wonky at best. (With the new Sonic game the next thing on the list is pandering to video game trends, in this case open-world videogames or games with open-world sections.)
If Sonic has a future, it is through movies and the music Sonic games have.
