I finally got an email and they said they couldn’t print it in PLA but they could print it in resin. So I said ok to the resin. No communication for another month even though I was emailing them constantly. I finally get an email saying they can’t do the resin either and they can’t make it for me and that they “refunded me.” I emailed back asking if there was any way to get it at all because I really want this for my terrain. No reply and I haven’t actually been refunded in a week since that email. Horrible experience working with only-games. Jay is there anyway to get this terrain still through any other means? It would be perfect for my setup and it’s so cool. Thanks.
Well, I did the math on a full size warship and even the smallest imperial navy escort is 160ish m long which in 40k means around 8ish ft long. Old math but they are massive but you might have some luck starting with 2x4s and actually building it up from there.
Id was thinking of making a vertical table/cave/Orc Rok to have massive Orc battles on. one side is the outside with platforms for landing and taking off with hanger doors and very short tunnels for them to attack the inside of the Rok. it would be multi level and multi style, been thinking about it for 2 years on how to do it.
Dog Fact: if the length of a dog's life is related to the length of its face, Borzois must be practically immortal. That terrain looks amazing, and the painting really makes it pop.
That titanic dog fact was fire!!! You have to have the crashed spaceship on one side and your imperial command deck on the other!! Thanks gents!! Fantastic as always!!!
That terrain piece is dope! I'am not sure, but aren't Cobra-class destroyers/escorts like 750 to 1.500 meters in length? Then that is a bit out of scale, but still cool, and with a bit of fantasy i can make it work: like, there can be different patterns of warpships, in different sectors, in different sizes... in an empire this vast and it's warp travel history going back like circa 22.000 years, it's possible, logical... or even probable!
The 40k ships are incomprehensibly absurd. To "scale" the smallest ship would be over 10m, nearly 35ft, in size. Little bit too much for even a chunk for the table top. Most vehicles are at a half scale compared to the troops but then that'd still be several boards. It'd be easier to argue playing a game inside a frigate.
@@graefx You guys are totally true. I wasn't very educated regarding the scale of land vehicles compared to the troops and even to other tanks and transports in the same category. But i did a little research following your comments, and indeed that is the case what you were saying: WH 40K model scales are a complete mess 😄 Thanks for pointing it out, i wasn't aware. So the second part of my comment makes even more sense now: it's not a Cobra-class warpship, because it would have to be 10 meters long or so (even in half or quarter scale). The case is even more obvious, given you can see the interior behind each and every cannon, and you can see clearly the control panel:, they in scale and fit to a 28mm "heroic scale" model. So with a bit of fantasy you can come up with a unique Imperial Warpship class, that can fit the scale (more or less). That's makes it even more cool, original and overall unique and believable at the same time for me!!! 🥰 But it makes clear at the same time: it's not a kilometer long Cobra-class Escort, given the visible up to scale interior.
@@graefx there isnt really anything absurd about 40k ships compared to most other scifi settings. Now if we take startrek and their holograms , transporters and replicators THAT is absurd! especially their lack of practical application as weapons...
@@KT-pv3kl I can recommend the now-concluded webcomic Schlock Mercenary for weaponisation of teleportation, fabricator/replicators, and (sort of) holograms in the manner that Star Trek doesn't.
Wow, gotta say it's one of the best terrain pieces I've ever seen. It could even have some fun rules for static turret shooting or stored explosives, still active of course
This is excellent work and anyone would be proud to put this on their table. The ship is a very evocative piece that readily lends itself to all kinds of great house rules and scenarios.
The dog nose will be mostly about what they are bred for, because dogs are supposed to have long snouts, shorter snouts (particularly relative to size) cause breathing issues, as it's more about the relative size, look at 2 dogs of the same size, pug and and pugs that have been bred to have longer snouts, they are far healthier so they live a lot longer on average
This is really cool, excellent job all around. I do feel compelled to point out though that even small escort class void ships are considerably larger, to the point that a space marine Thunderhawk should probably be able to fly into one of those gun barrels if they where to scale.
Y’all make stunning terrain. If I had the ability to actually print any of it I’d have signed up for your patreon a long time ago. Someday! Keep up the great work!
A full sized, undamaged escort ship would probably be around 2-3 feet. You could design the surrounding terrain to be a dry dock, with ramps and bridges over it. That way you'd be fighting over it, rather than around it.
Full sized escorts are a mile long (1.6km) so in 28mm scale of W40k it would be 18.4982068966metres (60.68965517257217ft) long, because 28mm minis are at about 1:87 scale. So roughly about the size of a 60ft shipping container.. LOL. Also, side note: while escorts are 1.6km long, Retribution Class Battleships are 16km long (literally ten times the length) so imagine a W40K 1:87 scale battleship would be 606.896~~~ft long or 184.98206~~metres. yeah but to scale 40k ships are reaching the limit of this adjustable scale VERY fast given that a kilo of resin costs around 40$ and the total lenght of a cobra class to scale would be over 30ft
looks awesome but for it to be a cobra class it has to be around 10 to 20 times bigger. in lore a cobra is over a kilometer in length so even the prow would fill the entire board and then some. the model is much closer in design and scale to a guncutter which is only about 150m long.

Amazing, but wouldn't it make more sense for the golden eagle masthead and port gun holes to be gold plated bronzium that rusts green or dark green? I would also have used very dark purple and dark red to represent rust in the steel skeleton (purple is a great basecoat and second-to-final drybrush for old rust, and if it shows through, even better).

7:20 Dogs with very short, "squished" faces, big or small, have malformed sinuses and jaws which cause them all kinds of issues with their breathing and their teeth, and their facial wrinkles can get infected if they get too dirty. Plus all the other problems they might've been born with or be especially susceptible to from all the inbreeding to squish that face. My family had a Pug once who probably never lived a decently healthy day in his entire life, and that's not counting his Spaniel's Rage. I'm pretty sure there was a betting pool on whether he'd die of his asthma or get euthanized for trying to maul someone first.
