It's amazing the way The Stones have that totally unique thing going...I mean everything just totally fits...the sound, the looks the songs. There's just nothing like The Rolling fuckin' Stones.
My uncle was part of the road crew for this tour. This was the biggest tour crewed for, and considering he spent 14 months on the Def Leppard Hysteria tour, that says a lot. Largest, most complicated stage/sound/lighting set up he's ever seen. There were miles and miles of cables. 3 days of hard labor to set up this stage, 2 days to tear it down and 1 day to travel. This wasn't a fun tour. But everyone was well paid and it was a tour for the ages.
I love this song 🎵 ❤️ and the Stones. Mick is a 1st class frontman. The Stones are always putting on a stellar performance. Mick, you can roll me sweet as sugar got to roll me.
Whooo, Hooo, Whoah, Whoah, Ooooh Ooooh OOOH Yeahh! This song is just Whoaah, Whooo, Whooah! Yeaah, I get so hyper with the Hooney& the Mooney!! Roowooilin, with the Tumblin Dice! I could get my Caffeine fill all day just by listening to this song without even consuming any!
I found myself in the middle of Kansas, summer '81, without my Stones albums. The K-Mart had Sucking in the Seventies, by the Stones. That was it. I bought it and listened to it everyday. It had cuts from Black & Blue that I liked, especially Crazy Mama and Fool to Cry. Everything's Turning to Gold was on it. It was called disco, but it rocked. It has a dance beat like a lot of their songs. $5 well spent. Unfortunately, no Tumbling Dice. That was Exile . . . and later on, Made in the Shade.
I went to that concert and took my daughter who was in 10th grade...she didnt wanted to see old geezers but she was hooked after this song..which by the way it was the second song of the show, they open the show with Buddy Holly " Not Fade Away"
Yeah. The best ever. That was the "Voodo Lounge" tour. They rocked it on "Dice". I saw it in Dallas. I was sittin in the Cotton Bowl and heard that intro and it was the same. It was awesome. Never quite matched that groove before or after.
thanx for clearing that up, i commented on keeping things in perspective to a comment on keith being GOD, and i think I was in a bad mood that day, I dont doubt that these guys are down to earth and contribute as much as they can, have a good day my friend
@alienhuman is this video from the Voodoo Lounge Tour? I saw them in Philadelphia in semptember '94 during that tour. it's the only time i've seen them. they've been my favorite rock band for 40 years. time or money often interfered. a truly great concert. they blew my wife and me away, and about 50,000 other people in Veterans Stadium on a rainy night. standing around 'second base,' we could actually see them. They were amazing: it was a deeply human experience, yet very alien at the same time.
@yobob270 The Stones put out a 'greatest hits' album in the spring of 1981 because they wanted an album to tour for their '81 usa tour, but Tattoo You wasn't ready for release. So they put out an album of some hits, some unreleased finished songs, some alternate tracks, and a live version or two of songs from the '78 tour. They called it Sucking in the Seventies. That was the name of the album. I bought a copy because i was stuck in Kansas without my stones collection that summer. it's not bad.
Sempre que assisto esse vídeo, me dá vontade de viver mais. Sinto hoje a mesma energia que senti, quando vi esse vídeo, há quinze anos atrás. The Rolling Stones, uma banda que vai "ecoar até o fim do planeta azul".
The 70`s was the best decade for the Rock & Roll; Led Zeppelin, Queen, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Kiss, John Lennon, Elton John, T. Rex, Neil Young, UFO, Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Lou Reed, Roxy Music, and much more artists, the Mostly of the best albums are of the 70`s
Mick and The Boys really earn their paychecks. Compare this extravaganza to the simple, almost stark, Beatle concerts when they first came ashore in 1964. Things really evolved.
Love theStones but watched this video many times just to see Lisa Fisher. I have never seen a sexier woman. Fantastic voice too..won an individual Grammy in '91 (I think).
@ Francisco Beramendi: Man, you are so right. One of, if not hte greatest Rocl`n Roll band ever on this planet. And like all good things, they´re getting better with age.
Well, in my humble opinion, what Keith may not have in lyrical guitar playing he makes up for with rockin', jammin. style. And his catchy riffs/chord combos have made hit after hit.
that would be the eminent Mr. Chuck Leavell, master of piano playing. that is him playing the piano solo on the studio version of 'Jessica' on Brothers and Sisters by the Allman Brothers Band. that was their first full album after the death of Mr. Duane Allman, may he rest in peace. Since no one could take the place of 'Skydog' on guitar, they added a piano for another lead instrument. Mr. Leavell was their choice. His outstanding piano playing can be heard in a variety of bands over the years.
I had no idea the Rollng Stones existed when i wsas a kid. I listened to Kris Kristofferson aty the aghe of 10. His song blame it on the stones i thought was talking about stones as in a avalanche or landslide rolling down a hill. I had no idea it had to to with the rock band, "Rolling Stones." I was only 10.
Keith Richards 5 string open G tuning is what has lately inspired me to try something different in what I've been playing for the past 37+ years.... fixing to buy a Fender Tele set it up Keith style get into some Stones change the things up a bit..... stay focused and interests folks never allow guitars to exit the music world.....
I Agree with jillian2u2, you have no idea what were the 70's!!! Some pretty cool rock bands rocked on the 70's.... Just a look at Black Sabbath... POOR GUY... This Song really rocks
Probably the best live version of Tumbling Dice that I ever heard.
This song is a masterpiece from a classic band.
It's amazing the way The Stones have that totally unique thing going...I mean everything just totally fits...the sound, the looks the songs. There's just nothing like The Rolling fuckin' Stones.
Best version of "Tumbling Dice" ever !

When was that tour?
This deserves an HD release because it's seriously one of the best things on youtube. My ears are so happy.
I love this song 🎵 ❤️ and the Stones. Mick is a 1st class frontman. The Stones are always putting on a stellar performance. Mick, you can roll me sweet as sugar got to roll me.
Classic song from a classic band. ❤

as long as Mick and Keef are alive and making music, the world will be OK.
Well, in my humble opinion, what Keith may not have in lyrical guitar playing he makes up for with rockin', jammin. style. And his catchy riffs/chord combos have made hit after hit.
