Simply the greatest front man for a rock'n'roll band, ever. no one else even comes close; he just gives the great performance every single time out (Keith once remarked that Mick NEVER rehearses). I went to a lot of concerts, and he was terrific every time. Yes, you may prefer others, but you can't deny how the Stone's music holds up even closing on 60 years later.
Saw them when 'Satisfaction' was #1, saw them when 'Start Me Up' was #1, saw them again 40 and 50 years later. No doubt they are a powerhouse of music who manage to draw fans across the generations.
Mick Jagger, as always. At that age, still with such controlled vocals, overall stage performance, with stamina and charisma that stay longer than those of any living rock 'n roll frontmen alive.. He's truly a living legend.
Lisa has and will always have the greatest voice to accompany any band but guess what rolling stones got there first and what a tune Lisa you made this song
What a set of "pipes" on her! Her voice is incredible. I think it is very classy of Mick to give her some space and not hog the whole song. Lisa is 1 of the best ever! Jeff D.
ONE of the few bands in history that transcend generations of people who love their music. I first heard them in the 60's and have listened to them ever since!!
I can't think of anyone else that has and still around today..I know Charlie and bill Brian are gone but the glimmer twins without each other are really not much.
I'll tell you the story of my father. When he was very young, about 14 years old, he listened to The Rolling Stones on a reel tape recorder in the basement of his house. In the basement ... because he lived in the USSR, where this music was banned. And he never thought he could get to your concert. In 2007, I learned that you are coming to St. Petersburg. And I bought 6 tickets and we came to your concert with the whole family. After this concert, I fell in love with your blues. And two years ago, I sent my father to the Czech Republic to your concert. It was a gift for his 60th birthday. Thank you for the music!
Man this is a really great performance by a very talented and special band that we will always be so lucky for having in our lives here on earth. Thank you Stones! ❤️🤘🏽
Incredible live performance of this classic Stones song. Mick is not shouting out his lyrics, as he will do when he's tired; he is singing them as if for the first time. Lisa Fischer is astounding, filling in the Merry Clayton part, and there is Charlie, where he always was, right in the pocket every time. Oh, Charlie, we miss you so much. Mick is about to turn 80 (July 26, 2023), and Keith will also do so on December 18th, 2023. The Glimmer Twins will rock on forever!
As someone wrote below, Lisa has sung this song with the Stones for 25 years. Apparently they think she's the best available to song Gimme Shelter. An amazing voice with over 3 octave range.

Is that just the greatest song of all time ? In my world it is
One of them. I feel pink floyd, queen and others have a song in my top 10 greatest songs of all time
Yes it is❤️❤️
my whold life I loved it.
Absolutely 100% best song ever to be made no doubt
one of my fav !
She is a magnificent being 💚
Simply the greatest front man for a rock'n'roll band, ever. no one else even comes close; he just gives the great performance every single time out (Keith once remarked that Mick NEVER rehearses).
Couldn't agree more.. overall the biggest rock band in history
Hands down the Stones are are one the greatest performers of all time. They always put on a show. RIP Charlie. You was my favorite!
Mick Jagger, as always.
At that age, still with such controlled vocals, overall stage performance, with stamina and charisma that stay longer than those of any living rock 'n roll frontmen alive..
He's truly a living legend.
The Real King!
C est súper c est eternnel et beau
That's absolutely true!!
Lisa has and will always have the greatest voice to accompany any band but guess what rolling stones got there first and what a tune Lisa you made this song
No wonder this one is the " Official Promo " ❗ The best version of this classic I ever heard. Mick& Co. is in top form. 👍
Is this version on Spotify?
Yep you said it, this is definitely my favourite version of micks opening replayed the first minute over and over so many times
What a set of "pipes" on her! Her voice is incredible. I think it is very classy of Mick to give her some space and not hog the whole song. Lisa is 1 of the best ever! Jeff D.
She's a superstar that's flown under the radar .
Wow what a song
Ive seen many live versions of this song, the guitar Keith uses in the this performance sounds awesome. That and Lisa's voice!
Gibson ES 345, in cherry red of course!
I am 26 and everytime i listen this masterpiece, I cry for real. What a brilliant song!
Very cool of you to do for your father.
👍🏼😊🇨🇦
You’re a good son.
Man this is a really great performance by a very talented and special band that we will always be so lucky for having in our lives here on earth.
Thank you Stones!
❤️🤘🏽
@ 65. Still can't get enough of this song and ttthat performance by Lisa Fisher.
Rock on !
The best Stones song in my opinion. Epic, and in my top 10 of best songs of all time.
It was recorded in a era when the Stones sincerely peaked!
Couldn,t agree with you more!!! Jeff D. age66
Same!
If im ever deep in a cave.. and you need to get me to come out.. this is what youl play..
I Love this song too,my favourite, rollingstones will live on, an amazing talent for sure they have, Mick's ⭐8️⃣0️⃣⭐now still strutting on stage🙏
The greatest song ever crafted. Protest songs normally appeal your intellect but this one goes straight to your soul and stays there forever.
...always prophetic lyrics in this track...remember the context? peace and wisdom xx
Absolute chills. The dedication this band brings to every show is incredible. RIP Charlie
What an extraordinary drummer he was. He will be missed.
As someone wrote below, Lisa has sung this song with the Stones for 25 years. Apparently they think she's the best available to song Gimme Shelter. An amazing voice with over 3 octave range.
Did you know she,was pregnant when they were recording this song and had a miscarriage
Sean McMillian-El yes, Mary Clayton was not Lisa.
her Name was merry clayton and she was better than lisa. lin this concert they didnt give liasa enough volume
Yes I think she has been with them touring since 94 the voodoo lounge tour, if I'm not mistaken.
@@seanelmcmillian6617 did you know in the original recording of the song when Merry says rape murder for the third time her voice crack and you can hear mick in the back scream woo
Keith kicks ass on this version of the song. He doesn't play many notes because he doesn't have to. What he plays still gives me goosebumps.
Dude...RIP Charlie...the man, then, now and always...thanks for the soundtrack to my life.
The Stones are immortal, their music will live on for a VERY long time. We love you Charlie!
No one is immortal
@@michaelstauffer3918 just your imaginary psychotic jesus and tyrant sky daddy are immortal!
No matter how many times I listen to this video, every time Lisa hits that note I get goose bumps!
Dean bh
She is great till she shreaks!
Me too , Eerie, Powerful, Excellent, Mick, Keef Charlie Ron Darrell shall Roll FOREVER, Walter B, Memphis TN,
Same.. I keep playing her part over and over again. I love how she runs up to the front of the stage, then how she holds that last note! Greatness
LISA IS MY FAV TOO BUT BY NO MEANS IN COMPARISON TO MERRY CLAYTON , MERRY IS THE THE TOP SHELF BEST , EVER !!!!!!!!....
Can't wait till July this year hell yeah baby Anaheim CA USA La CA we rock just like they do ❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you haven’t seen The Rolling Stones live, you haven’t experienced the best front man and live band ever.
I have, thanks: it's Roger Chapman, of Family, who wiped the floor with Jagger all those years ago.
Been there...done that...
@@grahamturner97 it is all subjective to opinion.
Well, it's too late now. I'm glad I saw them on their final Australian tour.
classic stones, take care nam vets, lisa so pretty, and her voice so beautiful
OMG. One, if not the, best. And Lisa Fischer, beyond incredible.❤
The Beatles were great but the Rolling Stones are the greatest. I'm 70 years old and still love to hear this song. It rocks.
I try to listen to this version at least once a day.

They were both amazing :)
My alltime favorite!:)
How can you fail to be moved by this performance of the greatest rock and roll band ever by a long way!
Aye, they're good but the best, for me, are The Who
I've seen the 'STONES' 5 times and will be six if I can find out when their N. American Tour will start! Loved every song in their repertoire! My husband was in Vietnam in 68-70 and this was in the 'songs of the V. war era' ...Keith had these riffs in mind when they came to my town to record Sticky Fingers. THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
Salute
Goodness I love this song. Love the Stones and the female singer is amazing.
Best singer you never heard of. 🎉
Lisa Fischer
Keith’s smile is so genuine. He smiles and the whole world is smiling! ☺️
Awesome
Adiós Charlie, adiós a mi ídolo de la adolescencia.
Some good shots of Charlie in this version on the day he left us forever.
Mick sure as heck never lost it! WOW! He is truly amazing and inspiring. ❤
Find the interview circa 1963 about when Mick was asked how long he thought that the Rolling Stones would last and he said 😂 " ..oh bout four years " .😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@marksykes3817 Thank you, Mark. That sounds funny. Definitely will search for it. Happy Friday to ya!
He does sing some of his songs in a lower key. Totally understandable. But yep, never.
@brettralph3403 Thank you! Hope you have a Happy Wednesday. 😊
I’m 28 years old and I’m COMPLETELY enthralled with the STONES! Legendary 🔥👑
Lisa only adds to the greatest rock n roll band ever! Period, no discussions
He owns the stage, the crowd, the song, the show... the best of the best YAGER...
Mick rocks & Lisa rocks ! Fantastic performance by the whole band + a really soulful Rock song! Love it... thank you!
Wow, great performance ❤
The Stones still got it!
Such a beautifull woman singing alongside Mick Jagger, with a great voice, who is she?
Lisa Fischer
