  • No Prayer for the Dying is one of the least liked Iron Maiden records along with the two Blaze Bayley albums. I can see that the material doesn’t stand up to the near perfect album run that came before, but IMO the raw hard rock sound really stands the test of time. Bruce has a swagger to his voice that really pops out, and I love Janick Gers guitar playing. The production is amazing too. I love the dry room sound of the Drums and Bass. This album also has the advantage of not being overplayed. It was also the first Iron Maiden album I bought so it has a special place in my musical timeline. I remember buying it at the same time as the Red hot Chilli Pepper’s album Mother’s Milk along with H.P. Lovecraft’s In the Mountain’s of Madness. I can remember reading the book and listening to both albums at the same time.

Congratulations on the good work as always!
One of my favorite maiden solos from an album that I think is terribly underrated!

Thanks matheusmiranda, I totally agree. This album has a Rock swagger that reminds me of the first Iron Maiden album.

Outstanding. Love this album. Can you do Holy Smoke, or Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter?
