Ruiz either steps up and acts like a MAN, dropping his entire entourage of hanger-ons and dedicating himself to the sport, or he keeps acting like a child, which result in more failure.

Andy needs someone like Teddy for motivation. It seems like he's lost a lot of it as soon as he struck gold with the Joshua fights. Sad... because he really is a good fighter.

He needs Motivation and DISCIPLINE so he can act like a professional champion instead of partying and being too lazy to get in the gym which is what contributed to his recent loss. No nonsense Teddy is the perfect trainer for him IF Andy's serious about improving.
Because if he isn't, Teddy WILL NOT put up with any shenanigans and will turn his back on him if he feel he's wasting his time..

We're All Thieves Hes a better heavyweight than probably almost everyone in the divison if it wasnt for his lack of will to keep going. He has had more years training and boxing as a whole than all the heavyweight in the current division considering he started boxing so young. His hands are accurate when he is inside, he is a hard hitter, and has that famous Mexican hook, which Freddy Roach says he'd pick over a good left jab. But what isnt Mexican of him is to quit, give up, and not ksep going. But he won the title, maybe that was his plan all along. So much speculation

The problem with guys like Andy Ruiz is sometimes they can’t handle a guy like teddy giving them shit all the time if he commits to being a boxer teddy can do great things with him imo but it’s all up to Andy Ruiz and what he wants because you can’t make somebody want it they have to want it themselves

@@kylecorrigan2449 FACTS!! Teddy himself has said in the past that his method of training is NOT for everybody.
And Ruiz' laid back personality is the opposite of what Teddy demands from his fighters. At the end of the day, Ruiz is going to have to make some sacrifices and make a lot of effort to make changes if he wants this guy to help him.

I mean every time Andy get ready to eat he's going to look. From side to side to see is telling me around. If defending the title he'd won wasnt enough to motivate HIMSELF, then no trainer can or frankly even should, bother. Not when there is plenty of talent coming up or established who keep working. Andy was literally handed pearls and he spit on them. That's fine, he's a grown man and can do that. But he has to be a grown man and live with it too.

If Ruiz needs some discipline in his life, Atlas is the ultimate disciplinarian who has the toughness of a drill sergeant. An authoritarian who won't bend to his whims. He won't hesitate to tell Ruiz when he's not happy with his commitment or effort. You best believe, Teddy won't take any shenanigans when preparing for a championship bout and will turn his back on him if he feels he's not taken seriously or if he feels Ruiz is wasting his time.
But the thing is, i've been following Ruiz jr FOR YEARS and have gotten to know his personality... Ruiz has a very laid-back personality -- to the point of being downright casual and disinterested at times, which is in direct contrast to Atlas, who demands a certain type of adherence to his rules. Meaning, if they get together, they're going to bump heads. Teddy himself has said in the past that his method of training is NOT for everybody. My point is, Teddy's the right trainer but will Ruiz be the right fighter for his training method...We shall see.

I love Teddy and he’s one of my favorite boxing trainers and minds. IMO this is not a good fit and here’s why. Teddy Atlas is an extreme Disciplinarn and he’s style works only when the boxers he’s training are attracted to discipline( Moore, Bradley, Gvozdyk). Similar to the all the players that Bobby Knight trained in basketball or Bill Parcells in Football. Ruiz is not attracted to discipline but he only needs a little of it to be successful( dude weighed 15 pounds out of shape for Joshua). Ruiz needs a trainer that not going be a yes man, going to train him hard, have some discipline yet still let Andy be himself. 3 trainers that fit that bill are Freddie Roach(who he’s already trained under), Buddy Mcgirt, and Robert Garcia. Looking forward to a Major comeback Andy🇲🇽

Ruiz earned over $15M USD in the two fights with Joshua, to most quality fighters, that's a lifetime of earnings(we're not talking superstars here).
Boxing has lots of risks that fighters today are seemingly more aware of than in years past, so lots of fighters tend to cash out after securing a certain amount of earnings. Not making an excuse for Ruiz' seemingly lack of training discipline, but it might shed some light as to why he ballooned up for the second match with Joshua. Buster Douglas did likewise prior to the Holyfield match after upsetting Tyson, Douglas was never relevant again in the Heavyweight division after his loss to Holyfield.....

Ruiz will tell his dad's cousins brother's son to tell Teddy he can't make it into training today because he's not feeling well from eating excessively from the night before and may have food poisoning.

What ever happens I only wish Andy Ruiz good luck. He shocked the world ( I won £610 pounds sterling on a £10.00 bet!) If he's going to stay in the game and there is no reason why he shouldn't he needs to find a trainer and a team that will get him back into the heavyweight contender of the world. He can still be the Proud Mexican Rocky!!

It's like this have you ever seen the movie the toy story? Remember the battle with the Army soldiers , one of the soldiers had a parachute sometimes your parachute doesn't deploy sometimes there's too much wind and when you start to lose control it times like that when you need to stay level headed you need to go in there like to Infinity and beyond be a man don't go in there with your head down so In short the answers no I'm not training andy

You guys are all robots man, Andy Ruiz is too short (6 foot flat) to cut the ring off with Joshua. Everytime they exchanged Ruiz got the better of him but Joshua literally RAN AWAY! Even smiling while he ran away. People think Ruiz got lazy because that’s the narrative Eddie Hearn painted after the fight. No he is just way too short to cut the ring off. Put Ruiz and Joshua in a small ring and Ruiz wins 99/100 times. His height is just too much of an obstacle for anyone to out point him. You people are such followers at times. Bet most of the people commenting didn’t even watch the fight. Ruiz blew him out every time they exchanged up close.
