Just great to see an artist creating such quality work with paint and a brush. Not an airbrush in sight. This kind of tutorial opens up the hobby to a much wider audience who may just have basic tools and beginner skills. Well done, sir.
Thank you so much, that means a lot. I set out to make videos people can use and get something from. I want people to feel they can do what I do in the videos. I’m glad you feel I’m managing to do that ☺️ I love making these tutorials for people.
I use an airbrush for mundane tasks such as priming and basecoating. I find the actual painting to be much more rewarding with traditional brushes.
I use a mixture of both methods, but depending on what iam doing at the time depending on what i prefer..@adalwolf8328
Very straight forward tutorial. No comedy routine or bull$hit. Thank u for not wasting my time.
I try and make painting the miniature the focus and keep it as precise as straightforward for people :) I like to think about the old white dwarf painting guides and how straight to the point they were
How did you make such a concise yet comprehensive video in 9 minutes? I love the examples of the klan colour panels. Great work!!!
I wish it took me 9 minutes haha. I think this took a week to put together and a lot of planning. The magics in the edit. Really glad you enjoyed it 😃
This is great!! Always felt like other ork vehicle guides were missing something. But this is so comprehensive and definitive. Love that you included all the clan options here too!
Would love to see photos of your Waaagh! all together, bet it looks cracking!
Wow, thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I wanted to try something different for people. My Ork army is working progress hahaha but I usually post on Reddit my updates and pics of my army 👍🏻
Always a pleasure to watch your videos! I can't get over how clean your paintjob is. I mean sure, grimdark is nice and all, but there is something about that 'eavy metal-style that just clicks with me.
Thank you. I’ve always been a massive fan of the eavy metal style. I’m trying to get better to reach that level 😀
I absolutely love your guides. They’ve helped me so much with starting irk force.
That’s fantastic 😄 that’s why I make these videos, so people can paint what they want and understand that it’s not too difficult with abit of knowledge
Great video! I really love your usage of split screen to show different stages in the progress. Your video feels really professional!
It really means a lot to know you enjoy my style. I think it’s important for people to be able to see comparisons. It’s a good teaching method
Absolutely love the videos man!!! I will never get sick of how you make them, easy to follow for newer people, and the little icons of everything you use are spectacular!
Thank you, I really appreciate your :D I love the editing process and thinking about how I can get the knowledge across to people in an interesting way
I like the way you use your highlighting and the rust effect to make the details really pop - I just started building my first Trukk and plan on painting it in the Goff colours. Great video!
Thank you. It’s always fantastic to know my tutorials help people 😄
Thank you your the first person to explain edge highlighting in a way that I could understand also the hotrod flames
no bother, I'm glad I've been able to help. my latest tutorial are the deffkoptas :D
For someone new to painting, this has been the best video I've seen on UA-cam and I have watched a lot of video's. I can't think of anyway it could have been better. Soooo helpful, thank you!! My dad will love the surprise I'll have painted for him thanks to you.
Brilliant, I’m glad I could help out. I try and make sure my videos are usable for every one and not just something to watch. 👍🏻 hope your dad enjoys what you’ve painted for him
The best part about your guides is how simple and comprehensive you make the steps!
Thank you as always 😃 I feel like I’m getting better. Onwards and upwards
I have to admit, I've seen almost all of your Ork videos and with a ten month gap, you've motivated me to come back and start working again.
Great videos and great finished product!
Thank you
Thank you. Welcome back. Some times we loose that mojo. I’m glad I could help get you back into it
Your clean and concise videos and painting style are my favorite on youtube.
That means a lot that you think that
Simply an amazing trove of tips. Thanks a lot!
Your very welcome 😁 I’m glad you think so
Fantastic video as ever. These are so clear and well produced. I always look forward to seeing more.
That really means a lot, thank you. I'll keep working hard to get more videos done
Dude this is awesome. The colours really pop and the contrasts are awesome. I get the feeling you could really go anywhere with this approach! Excitedly awaiting the next upload!
Always appreciate the comments. I do like this general approach to painting something. A lot of production involved but would like to explore more on how I can improve my approach to teaching videos. Kruleboyz will be up next week and should be able to up load more often after that. Thank you for the support, it really helps keeps me motivated 👍🏻
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam no drama mate, it’s a pleasure watching your content! I take something away from each and every one of them!
I just got a trukk and was a bit apprehensive about getting started...until watching this video!
You made these vehicles look amazing and broken the steps down perfectly. Thank you!
Thank you. I'm glad this tutorial has helped you paint your trukk :D
So well done, so excited to give this a try
Thank you. I would love to see how you get on with it. Make sure to sure to share it over at r/tabletopready 😁 so I can see
Very consice and clear tutorials. Thanks!
Thank you. I’m glad you like my content
Brilliant! This is very helpful. Thank you.
Your very welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it
Another fantastic tutorial. Your production quality is great too. Really hope you're able to keep growing.
thank you. I'm able to work on my channel more now, and I'm gonna keep getting better. I'm glad your here for the journey :D
Just brilliant stuff. Love your take on 'Eavy Metal.
Thank you. I appreciate the comment 😁
I enjoyed this very much. Presentation is clean, painting tutorial is technical and precise. Thank you.
Your very welcome, I'm glad you like it
excellent video. first time watching, really great how you explain each step and the examples for each clan is a really nice touch. great painting , really impressive job
Thank you. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video 😃 really happy to have you as a subscriber. Plenty of tutorials to make 👍🏻
So glad I found this channel!!
I'm really glad you found it aswell :D I'm happy you want to join me on this journey
Keep up the great vids mate loving watching the channel grow
:D cheers Ed
Thank you I definitely needed this
I’m really glad. Go and paint all those vehicles 😃
Great job, high quality vid with great tips
thank you very much
Fantastic video!! So complete, easy to follow and such clear painting!! (The music though was so gloomy...) Keep up the awesome job and thank you for the videos and your love on our orks!
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it. I love making the videos and will definitely be doing more
I keep coming back to your channel bc your technique is siiiick! You're my FAVORITE orky painter. :)
Wooooo thank you. Hopefully I can become your favourite painter in general 😛
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam You are! 😀 Your videos have broken my stance on painting, which was that I could never do it. Now I'm having a blast doing things I've learned from you and giving my own spin on things! Your style is by FAR my favorite though! You're an inspiration for sure my dude!
Awesome paint tips!
Glad you like em 👍🏻
Just AWESOME work. Bravo. 👏
Thank you very much 😃
Brilliant tips and very clear explanation. I don't think that I will do my vehicles as detailed as this, but will definitely use some of these techniques myself. Thanks. (Instant subscribe).
Thank you so much for the subscribe. I really appreciate it. I glad you can get some use out of the video. 👍🏻
Some of the best ork paintjobs ever done!
Thank you. That means a lot. I’ve got a lot of Ork content coming up next month, so get excited 😁
Your video makes me want to jump into this hobby right now! I will share this video to my friends and hope some of them will start the hobby with me together :)
That’s brilliant. It’s a fantastic hobby that has everything. I really hope you take that deep dive. Just take your time with it 😃 thanks for the support
This is great, can't wait to try this out myself!
Thank you. Glad it’s useful for yah 😃
Good job - I really do like your videos. I got a Trukk for Christmas and was feeling a little daunted at painting it. Less so now thanks to this video :)
thats great, I'm glad I could help. Vehicles can seem really daunting but if we just plan a little they not too bad. you can still do sub assemblies to make it easier and dry brushing can really help, especially for Orks
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam yeah I’ve kept a few thing separate - the orks, the dashboard, bumper and wrecking ball. Just need a decent weather window to get it primed. England hey…
haha you'll be waiting a while
This is another amazing video. I love the results 😊
thank you very much, I'm really glad your enjoying the content
I have found that painting vehicles can be very intimidating at times, usually starting them.
This is a great guide, thanks, boss.
I still find painting them quit intimidating
Learned a lot about painting. Good vid...!
I’m glad I’ve been able to help. Thank you ☺️
Again another model painted to eavy metal standard and set in simple instructions for easy viewing. Thankyou for a bloody good video.
Your very welcome, thank you for all the comments, it really means a lot :)
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam no problem bro. Keep up the good work
awesome channel and videos mate, thank you
Thank you very much. I appreciate the comment 😊
It always cracks me up how many rivets Imperial units have in their armor: we stopped riveting tanks early on in WWII because its so much weaker!
Maybe they found a better way or forgot.
The way you've painted the battlewaggon alone, has made me want a battlewaggon. Or several. Truly awesome video.
Thank you. The battle wagon looks amazing and it’s definitely a centre piece for an army when done well. Lots of character. I do have a couple more ready to go. Just make sure they have deff rollers haha
Thx for detailed tips
Your very welcome 😄
Hey great video! The painting is great but the editing, the lightning, the set, the shots, the graphics, the music, the voiceover,… wow, man, this is a definite 10!
Thank you very much for the kind words. I really love making tutorials and I try and make the best I can for everyone 😃
I really like how you show the multiple progress pics. And I love the music. Lastly, I appreciate that you show how to paint stuff from the best faction in the game. There’s already far too many videos showing how to paint beakies.
And I was thinking of doing a beaky tutorial haha joke. Glad you like my content 😃 I just try and make what I would like to see mostly.
Awesome as always, will be trying this out on new deffkoptas
😃 awsome. Love to see em. I really appreciate all the comments from yah 👍🏻
Nice technics✌️💚
thank you :)
Great video looking forward to trying it out on some bikes! Was also curious if you plan to do a video on your process for converting kits like the small truck and the rhino.
Thank you very much. I think the bikes are going to be really good with the new book, especially if you have ghazkull calling his mega WAAAGH!!! I'm thinking I'm gonna have 2 units of 6 eventually. I would love to do a video on converting and using plastic card. I want some more Trukks for my army, so when I get round to making some more, I'll probably take the chance to make a video on it
Another great tutorial -despise i still dont play orks XD- . Really love the multiple paint recipes for colors, mate :D.
Hahaha thank you. I think it worked well and definitely want to include it in future videos 😀
great work!
Thank you 😄
This is tremendously helpful, thanks! Question: What would you recommend using for a recess shade, chunky highlight, and edge highlight if you were to use Naggaroth Night purple basecoat on an ork vehicle?
Sorry about late reply. Ummm I think there is 2 purples that follow naggaroth in the citadel line. So I would work up through them and I would use nuln oils for the recess shade 😁
Thanks. Truly inspiring.
Glad you you like the video ☺️
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam You rarely come across such a concise and inspiring video. I've been assembling a kitbashed Ork Dakkajet and slowing down because I was dreading ruining such a cool model with a shitty paintjob. And a bunch of your colleagues love to see themselves in the video too much or just slap on paint straight from the can. THIN YER PAINTZ! So yeah, thank you for inspiring me.
Love your videos mate. This one convinced me not only to play Goffs Orks but 40k as a whole! Haha. Can I ask how would you go about painting the new Kommandos in Goffs colours?
Thank you very much 😃 I’m happy your enjoying them. Orks are my favourite faction and I’ve got loads more content for them through October and November, including a kommandos tutorial and painting clans and all sorts. So hopefully You’ll find what your after in a future video 👍🏻
Finally a vehicle tutorial without the use of an airbrush. thanks so much. Just looking at your ork tutorials makes me wanna collect them too :D
Im in kind of a pickle atm. I wanna do some orcs, I already have an old army of mine, but im not happy about their look. its very grimdark. I want to replicate your style. But repainting the old ones will be too difficult to pull off without loss of detail. So I thought about buying a new ork combat patrol, building up a new ork army that can eventually replace the old ones.
and jsut now I learned that the new edition is coming out next year and I dont know if I wanna buy an Orc army now, since I have to get the starter set later anyways -.- I dont want to drown in plastic but I wanna get going. aaargh!
The combat patrol is a great box. You don’t have to redo the old Orks either. Just have them to see how the Orks play in the new edition. I can’t imagine the new edition will be out before July. It will probably be announced in Manchester in April. That’s 6 months away. Enough time to get some Orks painted. If you have the itch then it means you’ll be motivated to get it done. 🤷🏼♂️ upto you. Who knows Orks May be in the main box again 😁 that would be sick
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam thanks for your reply :) Its much aprechiated! You are absolutely right. Its 6 months. I can do a lot in that time. But I know me. My motivation is as chaotic as the Warp at times xD But 6 months is a great deadline to prepare for.
Atm Im already painting the minis in my head! ;:D
Thanks and I wish you a merry Christmas :)
Really great video, great delivery. Insta-subscribe! I’d love to see some blood axe color schemes ;)
Thank you very much. I touch upon blood axes in my clan video but if I were to do a blood aces vehicle I would make it look like they copied some of the imperial regiments in colour
Amazing video...... Thank you for sharing this 💚
Follow up question...... Let's say a vehicle is going to have a mix of metallic and coloured body parts, would sub-assemblies and using different spray bases on the different parts (let's say Chaos Black and Leadbelcher) be viable, or is it a lot easier going for the whole thing sprayed in just 1 base colour?
Your very welcome
absolutely, that's my preferred method mostly, especially if you want to spend a bit more time on it getting it right. I would tend to paint mostly built models if I just kind of wanted to get them done quicker and wasn't worried about being too messy. I always find myself halfway through painting thinking I should have just done this in sub assemblies haha. great question :D
Love it!
awesome, thank you :D
Nice. Good order to do stuff in.
Thank you 😊 I always try and think of the best order to paint things as it makes a huge difference
I think I've watched every single one of your Ork videos now. I've been struggling to decide what Klan to choose for my army but I think I've decided on Goffs after watching this video. I'm not really a big fan of the checkers though so I think I may just paint some other panels/armour red instead
Thanks for the views haha. Goffs are the best clan. If your not a fan of the checkers, you could have a look or other designs and patterns used by the Orks.
I remember that someone said to me, when it comes to using washes with vehicles; if the vehicle is well look-after and clean, wash the metal with Nuln Oil. If the vehicle is grimy and dirty, wash the metal with Agrax Earthshade.
Why not both? 😃
Great video.
Lets see a Defkilla Wartrike next!
I do like that model 🤔
Actually just perfect
Thank you son much 🙏🏻 there’s always room to improve though 😁
This video saved my ass, haha. THANK YOU for posting.
Awsome, I’m really glad 😁
Your Video skills deserve a nother0 behind your subscriber Count! Hope you Go viral With your Channel!
Thank you. I appreciate that. I’m now able to put all my time into this channel and I have a lot planned 😃 lets hope I get there
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam keep Up the good Work. Wish you the best! :)
wow! what an amazing video, now i wanna go out and pick up some Boyz hahaha
Do it. Orks are the best
Great video.
Thank you 😄
Great video
Now then 😃 thank you.
I thought this was a fantastic tutorial *before* you showed off the recipes for a whole bunch of different-colored armor plates. What a great resource!
I really appreciate that. I wanted a video that can be used for most things
Ill keep this guide in mind when i dare assemble and paint my ork vehicles!
you can do it, Buggies are gonna be a big thing in 9th
Would you do a video on how to convert ork vehicles to be varied and interesting? Love your work!
When I have to make more trukks in the future I’ll film the process
I tend to skip highlights because with washes, rust effect and grime effects there are soooo many details already but these looks great! :)
Weathering is the fun part. You could always do a drybrush for the highlights, making it less of a chore.
@TableTopReady what browns do you use for the Crew Boyz leather? Is it what you use for the Snakebike brown panel?
I use steel legion brown for the leather
i'm gonna be real with you, i freaking hate that GW nerfed the deathskulls to the ground in 9th but damn does your channel always manage to make me want to paint forever more orks
Orks for Life, just do a speed freaks army and get yah self all the vehicles, that's gonna be the new 9th hotness
Do you have any advice on painting vehicles for the deathskulls clan? Not sure if I should paint a majority of the plates in blue with some black to break it up or black and pick some out in blue like you have with the red
That kind of decision is something you alone must decide. When ever I’m deciding on how I want something to look, I first go and see what other people have done. I then kind of pick and choose what I like and think about why I like it. Art work is a great source for inspiration as well. My goff scheme is heavily influenced by the 2nd edition scheme where it was mainly black with some red. I just kind of modernised it and added in stuff i thought looked cool. Pick a colour that would work well with blue. Games workshop use white for example.
Great stuff. How do you get your brushes that stiff? They seem to work like pencils.
so for this tutorial, the brushes are sable brushes which give a better point, but honestly you don't see how they behave most of the time haha it can get frustrating but then there are moments where they do what they are meant to
your really making me want to paint an ork army
You've got to learn to listen to that :D Orks are the best after all
Cool
Nice
I realy like the video, but i have one question. How do you get the brush tip so stable and fine?
Thank you. Honestly it’s just habit. The brush isn’t always well behaved. Just give it a little twist on a pallet or something. The things that are going to effect it are too much on your brush, quality and age of brush. I’m not above just replacing my brushes as soon as they stop being good for the task
Looks sick, dude! I'm thinking of making my first Ork army a coalition of whatever clan colors look best on each given unit, since I may play Goffs but I may also play Blood Axes. It seems the BLs and the Freebooterz don't have set colors, so how would you style a BL Battlewagon? I'm using green camo for my Kommandos but I'm not sure I want to paint camo all over a massive vehicle.
I would keep them mostly silver to look like bare metal. Just have a few colours here and there. That way it will go with everything.
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam That could work. I was thinking I could splash camo of various colors onto select panels of the vehicles. Maybe I could apply a camo tarp or netting if I get creative. Also don't know why I called them BLs instead of BAs, lol
What ever you decide to do is gone look great. As long as your happy with it. That’s what matters 🖖🏻
Nice guide. The music kept me engaged. Source?
thank you very much. the music is just from the UA-cam library. I just cut it up and changed it to fit the video
What model is the hood scoop and hood from? Looks really nice compared to the exposed engine.
It's a part that came from the Ork flyer box, you get so many extra parts in them :D
Thank you for doing a normal paint job that I can actually use myself.
That is exactly what I set out to do on my channel 😃 I couldn’t have said it better myself. Thank you 🙏🏻
Восхищён твоим умением в покрасе, спасибо за обучалку, чувачок
Your very welcome 😁
Any chance of seeing a Goffs video? About to build my first army and I'm really liking the videos - they're giving me confidence I won't paint some abominations.
It’s so great to know my videos are helping you get the confidence for painting 😃 I do have plans to do Goffs, I’m just waiting for the new boyz kit to come out first
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam Great to hear, I'm looking forward to it!
Wish I could paint that good
if you practice and keep painting and following my videos then I promise you will be :)
Love this video! What's the putty that you're using at 1:54?
It’s just blu tac or white tac. The stuff you stick posters to your wall with
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam oh awesome! Thanks so much for replying. I'm just getting back into it after 25 years, and your videos are a gold mine of information!
What about the Freebootaz? Other than that great video, some of the best ork painting content there is.
Thank you :D I love what I do. the flashgitz are my favourite Kit and I'll definitely be doing a video for them in the future. I also have an idea to do a freebooters kill team, but that's just an idea at the moment
What brush did you use for the flames
I like to use Windsor and newton series 7 size 1 brushes when painting
Just wondering, will you make a tutorial on how to paint squig? Would be really appreciated
I wasn’t able to get hold of a snagga box unfortunately. But as soon as I get some of the new models I’ll be painting them up and eventually I want to do some moonclan stuff aswell 👍🏻
@@TableTopReadyUA-cam Same here, last time it sold out less than 5 minutes ago in my local games shop, also appreciated for these tutorials man. Keep up the good work.
MORE ORK TUTORIALS
You got it
Is it okay to prime it with black then freehand the leadbelcher?
if thats how you want to do it then go ahead. I do it theis way round because its takes longer to pick out all those metal details ha
have you tried Ryza Rust with Typhus corrosion?
I have. It’s really great for flat areas and large details.
This is exactly how I painted my first Ork vehicle: a Stompa 😆
I love it, if your gonna get an Ork vehicle, may as well be a stompa haha go big or go home
How’d you do the rivets?
Very carefully 😋 if you make a mistake, you can clean it up with the base colour.
Awesome. Very fast and net. The method is great for all vehicles ! Best video i have seen for orks vehicles. I try soon when my new orks codex come. If you are interesse for an commission and paint orks, for helping your Chanel, don't hesitate i am ok ( with explication and message )
I’m glad you enjoyed my new video 😃 I hope it helps. I’ll do my best to make that Ork boyz video for you soon. I don’t do commissions sorry. All my time is taken up making videos now 😄
Thx no problem. I wait your Next vidéo. Great job !
WHat colours for blood axe vehicles?
If I personally were doing a blood axes army, I would be tempted to do a scheme that matches one of the imperial guard colour schemes. otherwise blood axes are really random with there colours as they don't really have set colours as long as there are some camo patterns included
TableTopReady: Let me show you some colors for the different Ork Klans!
Me: Awesome! I wonder what he'll do for the Blood Axes, I love me those 'Umie 'Lovin git-
TableTopReady: *Proceeds to do all the Klans but the Blood Axes*
Me: MOTHERFU-
Haha sorry dude
I’ll be doing a similar video for The new Ork boyz so I’ll be sure to include it in that for yah 👍🏻
