You are Malfurion Stormrage, arch druid of the Night Elves and protector of Kalimdor. A great prophecy has foretold the return of the Burning Legion, who seek to destroy Azeroth once and for all.
For 10,000 years you have roamed the Emerald Dream, awaiting the day for your return to lead your people against the demons. However, you feel that the world has changed much during your absence. Despite Nordrassil being heavily guarded and Illidan the Betrayer sealed deep within his prison, you sense something terribly wrong that threatens your people's survival from the coming invasion.

I kind of wish that there was like an option for Malfurion to turn back from his chosen path at a certain point, maybe like when he meets Tyrande earlier on and she makes him come to his senses for a moment, and then the story gives us the choice whether to plead for help or keep up the façade, so choices actually matter more.

Oh, Kath'ranis. We hardly knew ye. You shall be missed...but honestly you had it coming. You simped so hard that you couldn't read the obvious signs that Velinde was lying to you. In the end, it's not your people who suffer...it is us, the audience, as we continue to sit and watch the tragedies unfold in the upcoming episodes. How unfortunate. Goodbye.
This whole campaign tells us only one secret: no simping no dying!
Trusting somebody bound by blood to Malfurion to help fight Malfurion was not his brightest move. Guess mother Shahraz is next on the chopping block if she attacks Malfurion.
Kath'ranis tried so hard, even Malfurion dropped his usual "you are weak and meaningless now get space laser'd" and actually seemed to have some...I dunno...respect for him?
Even his last act before dying....Malfurion found it more impressive than frustrating...that is quite something.
Can't decide if Malfurion's voice is Duran, or if he's high on Terrazine and serves Amon now.
I gave him some similar effect, to match with his inner voice (Duran) in early episodes.

RIP Kath'ranis. He was naive but he was a decent enough chap, certainly more than Malfurion deserved to have around him. He also had a pretty cool death. Killing those spellcasters while dying is pretty awesome. I also like the animation for that spell, that used to be the animation for the Starfall spell he has now, no? I wonder why the map maker changed it, it felt more appropriate for a sorceror.
It is that animation. Playing this campaign in Reforge brings a few unexpected bugs/issues. In the previous version, Arcane Blast has its own animation.

Kath'ranis was right, Malfurion did the unthinkable: In order to save his people from the greater evils of the Burning Legion, he occupied the position of the greater evils themselves! Destroying his world to save it is an evil thing, but corrupting it is an even greater evil. Malfurion has become more evil than Kil'jaeden all because of his former's act.
That is not correct. The legion, still corrupts and destroys.
So far he has just as bad done as the legion.

At this point, it is better for the Legion to stop simping (by thinking they can kill Furion) and seal all portals shut to prevent him from entering their realm.
Kath’tranis was a real one, he shall be missed.
Honestly I find Kath'ranis' heel turn kinda sudden. Joining up with demons to bring down Furion is foolish at the least, like he said "The lesser of two evils is still evil".
I get that he was desperate, but I think it would have been much MUCH cooler if he refused the demons' help and plotted against Furion in secret on his own - knowing that he'd stand no chance in a battle and that he doesn't know who he can trust among his people.
Moreover, if he went down the purist route, being betrayed over and over and seeking his own salvation, he might have become his own 4th faction in the conflict, rejecting both Illidan and his Naga and the Demons' help.
In stead his short-lived rebellion only served to prove Furion's point and help the demons with the invasion, which was just really dumb of him. His death was disappointing. I think there was much more that could be done with him, even if he would eventually still end up either dead or as Furion's latest puppet.
It does seem to be a hasty judgement, when he could have bided his time.
Unironically thats how Kael'thas's story went too. Joined Illidan, KJ shows up to tell Illidan to burn the Frozen Throne, and we learn in the Illidan novel that moment was ALSO when KJ spoke to Kael'thas in his mind and convinced him to join the Legion and later betray Illidan. Just like that.

Despite Kath'ranis' mistakes he stood up and never backed down. If only he was a better judge of character.
I remember when this first came out with the first few chapters, and I thought Krathanis was such a cool name that I uses it for my Nightborne.
Feels surreal seeing how he ended up. Here's hoping he has a better ending in the Sentinel path.

Furion became a Hive-Mind or even an Overmind, mind-controlling his minions. Now he is in real danger of his course colliding with some kind of huge egg-plant-like hovering entity piloted by a remorseless skeleton-faced mouthless creature.
He really was more crushed by his betray then by Tirrande fighting him, then giving him a chance is redemption!

She unknowingly drank Malfurion's blood a couple videos back and was never really on Kath'ranis' side to begin with.

kathranis second ability(W) effect got bugged in the latest patch and instead of using the custom effect( one seen when kathranis blows the generators in cinematic) changed to default starfall one
Kath'ranis is traitor, I have no sympathy for him at all, Malfurion dealt with him accordingly, even too kindly by offering him another chance.

If I were demon, I would have pledged my services to Furion already. He is definitely a better leader for the Legion then any other. He suceeded in destroying so much, and demons have barely even entered the realm. He is evil as F, too. Since the Legion in this timeline is strictly democratic, I`d say: "VOTE FOR FURION - MAKE LEGION GREAT AGAIN!".
Too bad they won't, not like they want to work for someone anyway.
