In my opinion, this is one of the best channels about chess on UA-cam. Very instructive explanations delivered in a clear and concise way, down to earth personality, and no music in the background! Kudos!
The magic in the way Danya can teach and explain these openings, the ideas, concepts and tactics is like being blind and hearing color described to you and actually seeing it in your mind. The more I learn and understand about chess the more beautiful it becomes to me, and it's amazing how he can paint it so clearly
These speed runs are some of the best and most informative chess content that I watch. It helps to hear a really good chess player talk their way through a game. It REALLY REALLY helps. Thanks!
It is so impressive how much information Danya can put into one video! Even with all the references to other games. At the same time being fun, eloquent and well-structured. Simply amazing. Thank you!
The speedrun has helped me improve so much! I had my first serious classsical game today, and thanks to these postional lessons I played an (almost) perfect game! Thank you, Sensei Danya!
Wirklich, wirklich gutes Video. Ich habe schon viele Schachvideos gesehen, und dieses liefert tiefgründige Einblicke in deine Entscheidungsprozesse. Wunderbar!
Oh man, this is the first time I've decided to run analysis WHILE watching the game itself. That was absolutely fascinating and is helping me understand some things I otherwise wouldn't. And, at the risk of stating the obvious...when Daniel says "He has a hunch something is a good move", even if he doesn't choose it, it's almost always top 3 computer move. His hunches are shockingly strong even when he doesn't calculate, his experience is just that great. And every time the opponent made a bad mistake, he instantly knew it (Albeit, he also noted a few moves as dodgy that were top computer moves, but that does make sense. Especially since following the analysis during the game drives home how obvious actual cheating can be. Because good lord will you randomly see moves and think to yourself "Not only would I not see that in a million years, I wouldn't even play that unless I somehow saw it perfectly because it looks like a CRAZY person move". It's clearer and clearer why GMs can spot cheaters with very little effort when some moves just intuitively look absurd.
Also, the only thing that hurt that Daniel didn't do in this game was the computer was SCREAMING for Qh4 early and often and he never played it. It was such a strong move the computer sacrificed other pieces multiple times (!) just to get it in. It really, really wanted that move, and while Daniel mentioned it as a possibility he never really explored or calculated out the move, which shows how easy it is to simply gloss over strong moves when you are not wanting to calculate everything.
I'm around 2200 in blitz online and I play the Jobava London quite frequently with white. Big ups to you "Sensei Danya" 👍. I was going through a very similar thought process during your game while you ended up making one of my potential 2300+ online daily chess blitz bullies resign in only 27 moves, almost a "miniature" but sure the hell didn't play out like one!! I learned a lot as well it confirmed a lot in between my ears!!
A brilliant game, you make winning look easy. Thank you for all the work you put into the speedrun, your analysis makes every single move understandable.
Best chess content out there. I'm really new to chess and it's been frustrating trying to pick which openings to learn but through your recommendations and the sheer depth you go into I've been able to climb over 200 elo already.
When I want to study an opening for the first time, I watch Levy. When I want to use it to its full tactical potential, this is the channel for that. Thank you for all your content man!
always love your vids. I could handle a longer game even, maybe a one off classical game or something so we could hear all your thought process finding the best move.
Interesting thing I found with the engine: at 26:29 instead Be2 lichess engine (depth 25) suggests Bg5 sacking a pawn, but says it´s completly winning +1.5
@32:26 white can check first before having to take back and not loose queen then take back with pawn and if queen or rook take you're still fine to bring rook from f1 to e1
man this content is 1000x more benefit than those paid courses, just understand the logic and the process of thinking of a position and u will improve sooo much, and as hikaru said, openings doesnt matter below 2300 level, just understand the game and chances will provide itself.
So many interesting concepts and ideas in this video! I will maybe make one notebook in which I will post pictures or sketches of various ideas just like he recommended in one of his earlier videos.
Now that's the real meat. Great game. I typically would have lost the thread after black when for a typical surprising defense with ..f5 (not very good but not a mistake) and countered with ..e5. But Sensei showed the way!
Hey, appreciate this is quite old now but how comes you played Bd3 on move 5 instead of the move you recommend in your course here? I’ve been getting some pretty rough positions with the course move so thinking about swapping it out for g4 or something else like Bd3
can anyone please tell me how to set costom time-control. I wanna play with a friend but he's 1400, I'm 600. and I don't learn much from removing pises. tank you in advansed.
Post Malone - "I think it's time for a bud light break" Daniel Naroditsky - "I think it's time for a pawn break" Choose your role models carefully or you might end up 800 ELO
Danya, I'm pretty disappointed that your Jobava knight didn't do anything, haha (except for giving itself up for that dark sq bishop, which kind of did win the game for you after your own dark sq bishop goes uncontested). But joking aside, the Pillsbury knight idea, the "the other side' maroczy bind idea, the knight manuever via moving the king, the potential attack from the G and F pawns once the French structure is reached are pretty high level. Lots of ideas to remember, and none of these ideas can really be taught by an engine, but a great chess teacher like yourself. Thanks again.
"Unbelievable, we happen to have come across an 800 playing his first ever game of chess, this will be an incredibly hard challenge, we'd better be on our A-game to even hope for a draw!"
I dont understand why some players, like in this video, make moves in a couple of seconds that blunder the game with twice as many time as their opponent. I found when I started playing online that most players care more about moving fast than making good moves
Is it possible that they invented Duck Chess because of the expression "this pawn is a sitting duck"? Not a native English Speaker, don't even know if Danya invented the expression or if it was already a thing, now it takes a whole new dimension!
danya you have no idea how much we love you bro, your content is amazing , keep it up
Yeah, the only channel I check every day, excited when there's a game, sad when there's not.
He ia actually teaching in a way other streamers do not. I have so much respect and ❤️ for his time, effort and patience.
Speak for urself bro I don't love him.
I adore him.
You damn right
Ah, yes. Another bedtime chess lesson from Master Danya. Thank you, Sensei.
@Memes shorts time zones 💀
Same here. I watch them after work before sleep.
I no longer have insomnia. After such satisfying lessons, I sleep like a baby.
Out of all the GMs, Danya is the most educational and down to earth.
Change my mind...
no
I agree
No
Aman definitely the most down to earth
Steven Crowder is a legend🇺🇸
Sensei Danya = most UNDERRATED content on youtube
The opponent was very good here. Good enough to realize his move was impulsive and he was losing. Props to that guy!
In my opinion, this is one of the best channels about chess on UA-cam. Very instructive explanations delivered in a clear and concise way, down to earth personality, and no music in the background! Kudos!
As a Jobava London player, this was one of the best speedruns of all time. Thanks Danya!
the only channel i obsessively refresh for new content. can’t wait to see what you’ll do after this speed run. thanks danya!
I am so excited for the continuation of the endgame lessons!!
The magic in the way Danya can teach and explain these openings, the ideas, concepts and tactics is like being blind and hearing color described to you and actually seeing it in your mind. I work through the night (11pm-10am est) and seeing a Danya video available during my break is such a blessing. 💕
These speed runs are some of the best and most informative chess content that I watch. It helps to hear a really good chess player talk their way through a game. It REALLY REALLY helps. Thanks!
Some twelve, thirteen years ago I watched an instructional video named "The talented Mr. Naroditsky" ... finally I understand what this was all about.
It is so impressive how much information Danya can put into one video! Even with all the references to other games. At the same time being fun, eloquent and well-structured. Simply amazing. Thank you!
watching Danya play is more enjoyable than playing myself, I feel like a GM when he plays the move I'm thinking about.
Yeah ay ... especially after he looks at a bunch of different choices.... and then still plays my move! Backseat GM ing
The speedrun has helped me improve so much! I had my first serious classsical game today, and thanks to these postional lessons I played an (almost) perfect game! Thank you, Sensei Danya!

Amazing content! I'm stealing pause the video moments for my offline chess beginner course!
Keep up this AMAZING work!
Love the videos. Great explanations. Learn alot from these.
Dayna is one of the few who makes this type of podcast fascinating. He is both informative and down to Earth.

Same here. (I’m 2100) and his opponent played a STRONG game. The speed at which Danya finds these ideas is very impressive!
Passion meets practicality, what a watch! So much to learn. Thank you so much for these contributions to chess lovers worldwide.
A brilliant game, you make winning look easy. Thank you for all the work you put into the speedrun, your analysis makes every single move understandable.
Even tho i'm new into the chess world, i improve everytime i watch a Danya's video. Thank you. Much love from Brazil.

Wow these high-level games are so amazing, incredible job explaining every decision!
The on the fly appropriate Marat reference was too good, keep it up danya!
Really high quality game. I really love how Danya explains the pros and cons of all these candidate moves. Fascinating!
Love it! Thank you Danya!
always love your vids. I could handle a longer game even, maybe a one off classical game or something so we could hear all your thought process finding the best move.
thank you for your insights Daniel ! definitely my fav yt channel as of late
Great analysis!! Super instructive.

Love your chess videos. Feels like a journey every time

Best best chess Sensei who literally change mind !
Amazing video! 😄
thanks a lot for another great video!
Danya's thought process is just brilliant.
Thanks for an awesome video. I love this opening and would like to see more games from white side playing Jobava London system.
man this content is 1000x more benefit than those paid courses, just understand the logic and the process of thinking of a position and u will improve sooo much, and as hikaru said, openings doesnt matter below 2300 level, just understand the game and chances will provide itself.
Amazing teaching and lessons
Breath taking video for sure 😂
Hope Lex will have Danya on someday, always great on podcasts, amazing player and commentator.
How was the game found at around 30:00? Just from memory or from some kind of search tool?
Favorite chess channel :)
Man I'd love to see an opening course by Danya on the Jobava London
great video
Danya, you got me from 1200 to 2200. One day hopefully I can be as good as you! 🥇 I knows its unlikely lol
Thank you Danya
That Jean Paul Marat reference… It warms my heart Danya
So many interesting concepts and ideas in this video! I will maybe make one notebook in which I will post pictures or sketches of various ideas just like he recommended in one of his earlier videos.
Danya you are absolute legend
What a time to be alive 💪
you are the greatest teacher i've ever had
Does anyone know what happened to the Discoed? It seems to have disappeared....
what a game nice win
Let's take this channel to 300k !
Absolute beauty Danya. You're truly amazing as a teacher, a player and a human being.
Now that's the real meat. Great game. I typically would have lost the thread after black when for a typical surprising defense with ..f5 (not very good but not a mistake) and countered with ..e5. But Sensei showed the way!

Beautiful
great thumbnail with the London bus
Post Malone - "I think it's time for a bud light break"
Daniel Naroditsky - "I think it's time for a pawn break"
Choose your role models carefully or you might end up 800 ELO
awesome game
1430, up 120 elo since I started playing the Jobava 5 weeks ago. Love it. It fits me perfectly!
Thank you, remembered it :)
thanks king
The best teacher
Love the vids Danya.......are you out of breath here? lol
why not play Rxe4 before trading queens?
Anticlimactic with your opponent resigning.
Danya, I'm pretty disappointed that your Jobava knight didn't do anything, haha (except for giving itself up for that dark sq bishop, which kind of did win the game for you after your own dark sq bishop goes uncontested).

my brain cells are firing at a faster rate just listening to you talk. imagine actually being the talker!
Please make a while speedrun with the jobava London!
I love that patience filled Queen dance 'the zigzag waltz' ....beautiful
32:00 (for future reference).
"Unbelievable, we happen to have come across an 800 playing his first ever game of chess, this will be an incredibly hard challenge, we'd better be on our A-game to even hope for a draw!"
juicy game
If danya ever uses different intro music I'm going to fear for his safety
I dont understand why some players, like in this video, make moves in a couple of seconds that blunder the game with twice as many time as their opponent.

I can sleep well tonight 🎉😂

Not a native English Speaker, don't even know if Danya invented the expression or if it was already a thing, now it takes a whole new dimension!
This is the best game you’ve played so far
there's a well-known painting of Charlotte and Marat
Big props for the Jean Paul Marat/Charlotte Corday reference, bringing chess knowledge AND French Revolutionary History to the masses
nice game x2
Have you moved your mic closer? I can hear you breathing a lot more than usual. Hope everything is alright.
these lines are a bit beyond me. i do like to just watch and absorb as much as i can though. Looking forward to the next speedrun series.
Damn man, jus lemme like this vid moar
Whenwver i see Nc3 or Nc6 i am reminded of the great Chigorin rather than the hypermoderns😜
Oh, what is the site that you use to find those games? Oh and thanks do much from 1100 I became an FM and earnt 3.7k dollars. Thank you!!!
