Thanks to both of you for making this video. I bought the course and, to be honest, it’s the first course I have purchased and takes some time investment to get going. Question for Daniel: If black wants to play for a draw after 1d4 Nf6 2Nc3 d5 3Bf4 Nh5, do you suggest 4 Be5 f6 5Bg3? If so, I'd like to see an example of the strategy black would use going forward. Thank you
Danya, just watching this video today and wondering if you ever put out videos on the pirc and other lines that you mentioned near the end of the video? I quickly browsed through your video library but didn't come across them - could easily have missed it though. Thanks!
I am old (67), and I am looking for something other than stepping into someone's 'wheelhouse' all the time, by playing 1 e4 or allowing all the Queen's Gambit Declines and Indian Defenses.
Interesting video, but after 15 minutes I gave up because the move 3…c5 is not covered after BF4. If white plays.Nb5 now s/he is lost because black replies Qa5+, the knight must retreat and black plays cxd4 (-3). White must play e3 after which black can play anything from the conservative a6 to the aggressive cxd. By the way, stockfish 15 rates this the number one move at Depth 45.
After normal opening 1. d4 d5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Bf4... what if black goes instantly to a6? This is what I've been doing as black and I haven't been punished badly yet, am I missing something or doesn't that take the sting out of the early attack by White? Usually continuation seems to be e3, e6 and feels even to me, but would love feedback from very high rated players.
Probably about half the games I've tried with the Jobava I've faced 3....a3. It prevents Nb5 for White and doesn't cause Black any of the problems that are discussed in this video. (in fact, it's not dealt with at all.) If I'm facing it, I have a hard time believing that other players aren't facing it as well. Does the course touch on this line at all? Or is there just some obvious refutation for White that I'm missing?
I became frustrated, even though I am fascinated with the system, because the guy was waiting way too long to make the moves to keep up with his instruction. I fear I won't make it through the video.........sigh

Great interview.
Though I'm a little upset that more people will be ready for my jobava.
Now, can I get a coarse on the Buddhapest?
I’ve been switching sometimes with Jobava London. It’s a trapy opening for sure but if the opponent just holds it becomes long and boring. Lol
I was hoping to see some white responses to an early c6 which prevents a lot of the problems arising from Nb5.
In the course there are lines on c6 I’m pretty sure
Kasparov imitation was spot on 😂
7:57 2. Nc3 Bf5
7:40 starting.
In addtion to not covering 2...g6 and 2...e6 I suspect he doesn't cover 2...d6 which transposes to the Philidor when Black plays ...e5 at some point.
Loved the stream
after Bd6 - Rb1 - Qa2 -Cc1 is also traping queen
I thought that eric prie was the leading exponent of the Jobava-prie system?

God I want Narod to succeed, but I don’t want jobava to become popular and spoil it

Hi 6. Qa4 in min 38.23 is false Bb5 better. 8... Nxe5 ?? Bb4 + ans black is better
