Fantasy is the only thing I play against Caro as a weakish amateur. I want to be over with it quick, and Fantasy is great in that regards, you win or lose, but usually it happens quickly. So I can relate when Danya says, the position is quite flimsy, but it's the fantasy variation, what do you expect for Christ sake, 100 % this, you almost always get flimsy positions in this variation. Also, it's so illustrating about his strength, that Danya seems to be out of book soon, but calmly finds 8.Qe1, which is the best and most popular move in the variation.

But for the first time, we hear the opp's thoughts. I loved this, really. I have had very good success since I started to play the fantasy variation. First, I think it takes black out of his comfort zone, as it is a rare variation. Also black can easily go wrong in a number of lines. I feel that the most common move of d x e4 gives white just what he wants and black rarely knows how to handle the resulting positions.
