These terms are used to be inclusive of trans men and non-binary persons. And you're right that no one is being erased by their use. Everyone knows full well that cis women constitute the vast majority of these groups, and trans/nb people have no power to erase cis people in the first place.
It would be nice if the cis majority could stop complaining about any and all uses of language that don't center them exclusively. The fragility on display is breathtaking.
On top of it all this specific language has nothing to do with trans women so on top of being fragile cissexists these women are displaying their ignorance.
I would add that while the trans population is small, they are loud, especially with social media at our aid. President Biden has been working (deeply opposed by the republicans in power) to be more inclusive of trans people across the nation, but especially in medicine and education, which are the most harmful places to be excluded from. We have a lot of backwards laws still that make it easy to screw over minorities.

“I think it’s important that we educate people like you.” Not only a deflection but an insult. They will not answer “what is a woman” because they know to do so undermines their entire argument. That’s how fragile their ideology is. It will fall apart if they are made to explain it.
The term chest feeding is just meant to be an alternative option for people that want to use it, it's not meant to replace the term breastfeeding. no one is asking everyone to use chestfeesing. Some trans masc people just don’t like referring to their chests as breasts. Just like many cis men don’t.
I think TERFs have latched onto these two terms really hard because they’re the absolute bottom of the barrel for suggestions in terms of gender neutral language. I’ve never heard another trans person use the term birthing person. We use pregnant person or person with a uterus.
And, functional labels are meant to be just that. Functional. If we aren’t talking about uterus-related issues, we just say women. Chest feeding is an accepted term for trans men and non-binary people who don't like to refer to themselves as having breasts. The term breast can induce serious dysphoria in many people, not to mention opening them up to transphobia from others who argue "if you can breast feed your baby, you're obviously a woman".
SOME trans men use chestfeeding to refer to nursing their babies because of dysphoria. But it's a minority and I've never encountered anyone who objected to things like "breastfeeding classes." A common strategy of terfs and other hateful conservatives is to find something, or even make something up, that is uncommon and pretend its a huge thing.

There's nothing wrong with gender neutral language. Here's a comment I found on Reddit:
"As someone working in women’s healthcare: those terms are not erasing folks. At all. They’re meant to address larger groups of people in an educational or healthcare setting. No one is keeping anyone from referring to themselves as mother/pregnant woman etc.
As an example on how this works: Pregnant people need antenatal care. If I was to say pregnant women/expecting mothers in that sentence it sounds similar, doesn’t it? But it doesn’t address everyone who is pregnant/could be pregnant. Trans men can be pregnant, they’d be expecting fathers despite being the birthing parent. An expecting mother in a lesbian relationship might not be pregnant herself, but her Partner is. Making both of them expecting mothers. Life is complicated and trying to include all possible scenarios in common phrases is too. But via phrases like these you can get somewhat close to making sure everyone who needs to be addressed will be.
It’s the same as “people with a prostate need digital rectal exams” or “if you have a cervix, please get a pap smear”.

There has been some terf noise with the very recent trans law that passed in Spain. Some of the points were that now babies have "gestating parent" and "the other parent" (bad translation but it has the spirit).
Turns out, the original idea for that was to allow lesbians to have kids together with no distinction with het couples. Until then, the non pregnant mother was called father in most paperwork. That's erasure.
The fact that it was also good for trans inclusivity was really an afterthought. Which shouldn't have been, but you see, not everything is a conspiracy against womanhood.

I'm honestly more afraid of TERFs and previously mentioned grifters calling cis women "womben" ("wymben"? Idk, the spelling changes, but "womb" is always the point) than a few weird trans people and allies trying too hard to be inclusive. "Birthing person" is cringey, "womben" is saying women's only purpose is to breed, and accidentally says cis women who had hysterectomies are less of a woman than those who haven't. I find it mildly amusing it confirms I'm a man, I won't lie, but I don't consider me lightly chuckling worth the damage it's doing to all trans people (myself included) as well as cis women and intersex people.
