Everyone is entitled to fair representation; however when the facts are this horrendous, the sentence should fit the crime. 15 yrs or not; a life sentence should be commensurate w/this, sending a clear message that this type of crime is not tolerated for any age. That poor woman will never be the same, and the perpetrator will.

Once you are deemed to be a person that cannot be rehabilitated there's no reason to waste more time and money. It sounds like he may be a sociopath. If a sociopath is violent, they are not fit for society. If released, he will do it again. She needs to go! This is a big contributing factor of the crime we're experiencing today.

What happens if you're accused of a crime and all lawyers refuse to represent you because your politics will hurt their brand? Everyone deserves to be represented. I agreed with her on the notion that as a lawyer for the defense of your client you are obligated to do everything in your legal power to help said client, despite the horrific things they do. However, the fact she volunteered to take this case, and then her public words after said case completely negate anything she could possibly reason. That is someone I do not trust with the responsibility of the judicial system.

My father and i were abused by my former stepmother when i was little so it is so healing to see good men like Sen Hawley standing up for what is right even if it is incredibly uncomfortable. 🌺

Lawyers can try and hide behind "it was just my job" and believe that it absolves them of any moral decency and responsibility for defending a guilty person or commiting a crime against humanity which is the same line of reasoning used by war criminals. It does not work!
Sick, immoral and depraved is sick, immoral and depraved no matter how you see it, spin it or try to justify it.

You've got to love Josh Hawley. Pleasantly thanks them for being there then proceeded to rip them to pieces.

Yes, the good Senator is probably right. This candidate is probably capable. However, this lady is a dizzy liberal and therefore morally depraved. Thank you, Senator Hawley for exposing this woman for what she is.

this is why criminals do what they do. because of people like this.. she sure didnt like being called out on that. i guess she thought that since it was a long time ago, that people would forget.
