      1969 Gen X here.
We had racism on the ropes. We laughed at racist jokes about ourselves and others but regarded racist people as fools stuck in the horrible past we were lucky to be born after. In the 90's if you were against racism it just meant you were a regular person.
Anthrax and Public Enemy on stage collab is all the proof I needed.
We didn't cancel people. The dude making the hardcore racist jokes usually got the hint that nobody was laughing. It was a sly accountability, and we had tough conversations without worrying about pissing each other off.
There are always going to be racist individuals. It is already illegal to discriminate against people by Race, Religion, Sex, Disability, and other immutable characteristics. I investigated Federal and State discrimination complaints for 8 years. There are many instances of racism. And it was awesome helping people through it and holding accountable those who are unwilling to provide equal access/opportunity to everyone. There are also many many instances where the human experience of being surrounded by our own misperceptions led to a misunderstanding. Many accusations of racism were when the employer or landlord doesn't give a reason for their actions and the person is left to their assumptions. Those assumptions and feelings for how things are generally going are shaped by information the person gets. If every source of information is telling them white supremacists are lurking everywhere, that no matter how hard they work it will not matter because of racism, it doesn't take a phd to figure out what the majority of humans in that situation would assume.
Too much togetherness isn't good for the ones sticking it to us so Division has become the game once again.
They need White Supremacy to be a boogeyman. The big trial in Wisconsin and the response afterwards is proof. Anyone who watched the news and not the trial should feel white supremacist got away with taking a machine gun across state lines and shot 3 black people. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED and it is easily known for the past year. This is no mistake. This is all intentional.
Don't let the tablet, TV, phone, or teachers make you hate your neighbor. Keep using your heads folks and talk to each other!

One would think in order to be a country where race and skin color doesn't matter, that everyone is equal and has equal opportunity, that LAST thing you'd do to a child is point out how different everyone is and you should treat people differently because they aren't like you, right? Doing so is the very definition of teaching kids to be racist. Only stupid people can't comprehend this basic of common sense.
Critical race "theory" is supposed to be just that, a theory, but the left is teaching it to our kids as if it's fact. By doing so, they ensure it's fact as our kids now grow up to be racists themselves.

She hates her own skin colour so she wants other children to be the same way. Calling these people 'activists' is merely moving away from the fact that these people are dangerous. It is like how cults attract people, who are struggling mentally or with addictions, and then use that to control them.

When I was a little girl, I had a black paediatrician. On the first visit, I stage whispered, as all kids seem to be able to do, to my mom "Why is his skin dark?". Mom was a bit embarrassed as all people from her generation would be - not with the question but with the voicing of the question. He laughed and explained it was because his ancestors came from another part of the world. Simple, to the point and not offended in the slightest. Why not? Shouldn't he have been accusing Mom of fostering a racist environment which is the only reason I would have asked that question? That would be ridiculous. That is what would happen today though, wouldn't it?
The reason he didn't get offended by the innocent question of a child was either that he was a mature adult who understood questions about differences - I happen to have white skin - and therefore nothing to be offended by or he was a race traitor....unfortunately that is some peoples attitudes towards members of their race being accepting of other races no matter what their skin colour is...
Which do you think to be more likely?
Now, was the reason I asked because I was a racist baby?
    No.
Other than the fact that I was a kid, I was a rural Canadian kid - Canada is a country that was founded by white people of Europe, and has filled up its borders with all colours since - that didn't see anything other than white for most of my childhood. In a large city that I lived in briefly as a kindergartener I met a Vietnamese boy and this doctor. It wasn't until I went to a high school closer to the border of the US that I encountered a second black person. I was older still when introduced to the shade of brown (India etc).
    Am I a racist? No.
I can be a misanthrope yes but that is not based upon race other than being a part of the human race and the behaviours that are exhibited.
I can be a culturist as there are many cultural practices I find either abhorrent or distasteful for me and my life.
So my lack of exposure to a vast amount of diversity didn't make me a racist and being in large cities as an adult surrounded by diversity didn't make me racist.....
And today? Apparently all I have to do to become racist is to go back to school.
So happy I don't have school aged children or grandchildren.

Why do white people keep writing vapid anecdotes about the one black kid they barely knew and detached from as they got older and their in-group became progressively whiter as though that disproves the existence of racism? Why do they say TALKING ABOUT racism has a negative impact and then ignore the ACTUAL RACISM that is ACTUALLY impacting minorities. Why don’t they talk about the racism that black kids face from their allegedly “color blind” white peers throughout middle school and high school and how that might be curbed if American white kids learn the abhorrence of racism as a virtue at a younger age.
These silly anecdotes of “there once was a black kid on my block […]” is like saying diabetes can’t be a real issue because the one person I know that had diabetes never talked about it; or because I’ve never met anyone with diabetes; or because I choose to ignore people who have diabetes. I actually agreed with the judge who sentence Brock Turner (the white standford swimmer convicted of digitally penetrating his friend that had past out) to 6 months behind bars. Is that judge now soft on rapists? Now say add 100 rape cases with all different factors, motives and levels of barbarity, wouldnt it make sense that the sentences would be non uniform? Correct. The books in question don't contain valid or relevant information, they contain a program. The books' ideas themselves are nonsense. However, perhaps they're relevant in one enormous way: They speak to the priorities of political power-seeking sociopaths, and they expose the lie of sociopaths.
The sociopaths say they're overwhelmingly concerned with racism. (But they ignore the drug war, and gun ownership and carry laws operating under the misnomer "gun control," and the impossibility of equally applying such laws. They also ignore those laws' blatantly racist history. Moreover, they ignore these laws because to focus on them is to arrive at the conclusion that they are "Jim Crow" that has been expanded to be used against the entire populace.) ...So why do they ignore the actual racism? Because it's no longer limited to race, but to class and political connectedness, and they wish to perpetuate the ability of the predatory state to act upon the weakest in the latter two groups. (I.e. "If the drug war is racist, it can be exposed as unscientific and illegitimate. Then, if that happens, they can stop using it to rob innocent motorists of all races. The tyrannization of black people is mostly geo-political and economic, now. Most of the victims of the drug war, by number, are white, even if certain black areas are still disproportionately tyrannized. The police state preserves and perpetuates its capacity to steal.)
In short, their goals of "expanding the power of the predatory police state" and "getting control of the police state" are dependent on an amorphous, unreal, abstract, always-changing definition of "racism" that holds government-empowered sociopaths harmless for "racism."
After all, racism is just a component in white people's brains, which gives the totalitarian Democrats the ability to tag them like baby seals, and then hunt them down and expose them, so they can lose their jobs.
They actually justify this to themselves behind closed doors by saying "that's what you did to us with your monstrous drug war, so we're just getting revenge." (But the irony is that they continue to harm innocent black people with those same laws, the way Kamala Harris did, when she reversed Hallinan's non-prosecution of victimless non-crime "offenses." Notice the quotes around offenses, and notice that an action without a valid corpus is technically not a crime. ...The first thing sociopaths attempt to control is the language necessary to describe reality. (As Orwell famously described in "1984.")
When people use the word "crime" to describe "non-crimes" the sociopaths know they have nothing to fear from anything that person says. After all, they can then insist that such a person subscribe to their equally-incorrect definition of "racism," (something inherent in their political enemies, akin to "original sin").
In the world of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, it's perfectly fine to stomp on the faces of innocent black people. It's just wrong to call them racial slurs while doing it.
See how perverted and corrupt the world of the sociopath is?
