These internals are different than my '73ish Pioneer SX-450. It sees daily use and the only thing it's ever needed was the on/off contacts filed. Great brand, Pioneer, from backintheday ;)

this are great amplifiers ,even today it´s hard to have a better quality at resonable prices and building quality ,it would be still working if it wasn´t excelent, i conected it to a newer set of speakers and the sound was like perfect ,others that heard it were admired how could it sound so good being so old, i told them as older they are the best they sound, gave the example of new and expensive tube amplifiers

A very handsome, complete and well-built device. Just two small comments: I think that if you looked a little harder, you could have found capacitors of the same diameter, even if it meant increasing the voltage or capacitance a little. Also, with satin varnish, the finish would have been closer to the original. Well done for a job well done ! 😉

I have this same amp. Mine is a domestic Japanese version at 100 volts. I use a step down transformer in the US. I bought it in a used electronics market in Beijing over 20 years ago. The only issue is the power light is burned out.

VERRY interesting vid ! I have the SA-9500 II who looks verry similar , but it is not shining ad all, only the nobs are shining ! Could it be the allu of the 9500II is different ? Could I make my front also shining with those yellow liquid ?? Maybe the allu of the 9500II is different ???? I look forward to youre ansewers ;-)

I never understood why you want a amp that can control 4 speakers (As in A / B or A+B) but lose "power" once you turn both on. I mean you can hear the bass obvious losing it's strength once turned on both.

Acrylic glossy varnish. If you want it to be durable and brighter, you need to bake it as we explained in the video.
