Risking loss of limb running your fingers over the heatsinks like that ;) Incredibly classy look and one of the most unique finishes I've seen. very cool!
DANG !!!. the build quality is AMAZING 💖. they look like a work of Art. i would gladly display those in my living room and stare at them every so often !. that Click sound @8:52 is so satisfying 😊.
Hi Peter… It’s been a little over 4 years since the posting of this video and I just saw it today. I would like to build one! Could you please let me know where to get the parts and components to build??? I especially love the wood front, top and back. Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Your amplifier looks absolutely fantastic!!!
👍 I just ordered my A 5 clone. Intend to make it into mono block due to heat dissipation and easier to manage with their weight. Please may I know the size of your heat sink, how hot does it get and at what room temperature? Thank you
Hello , Peter ! The circuit does not have trimmers for bias and offset . Where did you connect them ? Did you use coils in power supply ? I`m on my way to build one clone of this amp ...
Peter good afternoon All right? I would like to congratulate you for the beautiful amplifier. And I would like to know from you if it is possible to have the information about the plates, the transformers, the type of heatsink and the wood you used to assemble this amplifier. I was delighted with the sound and visual result. Congratulations on the channel and for sharing the video.
Hello good morning sounds very nice I am looking for the diagram of this beautiful very well built amp. I would very much like to build one like yours if you could pass me the (scheme) in advance, thank you very much
And if you use tu rectifier bridge you can use 2 transformer of same voltage. With both transformer secundarios you feet into rectifier. From one rectifier you go into capacitor bank positive and negative to ground off capacitor array. From the other rectifier you feet negative into negative capacitor array and positive goes into common ground of capacitor array
Although I am a avid amplifier builder myself, of which includes ACA, Nelson Pass AB100, RAS25 and a few others, it always gets me why everybody seems to listen to or test or demo with either classical music, or instrumental music. Is there anybody that listens to later hip hop music using a class A?
Frist, I'm not sure combining a Class A power amplifier with...wood is the best idea. Second, I'm certain that putting something on top of it, in a relatively enclosed space is really not a good idea. Looks nice though.
👍 I just ordered my A 5 clone. Intend to make it into mono block due to heat dissipation and easier to manage with their weight. The original has 3000cm2 on 5cm high fins. Wondering if it is a little over engineered perhaps due to the consistency for exterior design and internal space. Trying to gather information on enthusiasts built and their actual experience.
First, this is an inverting amp. So the 2nd harmonic is in an opposite phase, that makes it pleasant to listen to. Secondly, -100dB at full power and 1kHz is NOT huge ))) PS IRF520 must be used for this as IRF244 is no longer manufactured. Of course, 10kHz gives -76dB, but this is merely audible. Plus a good phase of the 2nd. As an advantage is about few degrees(!) phase shift up to 1Mhz (I was too optimistic in my original comment). And 0-90kHz bandwidth with 0-1dB And lastly, this amp plays from 6Ohm, which is a typical resistance of 8Ohm loudspeakers in a wide range.
Nice build and skills, but I still think this is waste of very good parts! Many AB amplifiers could have been made from that! 90% of people can't hear the difference between class A and class AB,but they can see it in their power bill!
Class A is magical delight, lovely build and design.
Thank you!!
Excellent build - good choice for the listening test too!
Thank you!!
Perhaps the most incredible setup I've ever seen. If you were ever to build to order I'd be first on the list of customers. Just stunning mate ;)

that is a work of art! such a beautiful build!
Thank you!!
Absolutely gorgeous! Well done!
LOVE THIS VIDEO! Thank you Peter for inspiring me to get back to building! Just "liked & subscribed! Can't wait to see what you build next!!! 🙂
Thanks !!!
This is a beast! Good work friend.
Thanks!!
Just Amazing. Awesome built with so much passion. Enjoyed watching it.
THANK YOU for including the construction of the chassis. I understand electronics but I don't understand how to make a cool box.
Wow, what a piece of beauty

Bellissimo!!!Gran bel lavoro di finitura!!!Molto originale!!!
Hi. Which is better, JLH or Nelson?
Great music choice! Listening through an iFi Dac, Celestion DL6 vintage speakers and a tube amp.
Thanks!!
che bello! che passione che ci metti! straordinario
Grazie!!
Absolutely stunning work
Superb. Please provide a list of music tracks. Thank you for sharing this! 👍🏼🏁🍻
Simply stunning. Phenomenal job.
Belíssimo trabalho parabéns!! 👏👏👏👏

Amazing job, Congrats !

Wow gute Arbeit 👍

this is 1000% OF ART!

this is really amazing, nice done!
Thanks!!
Parts list? Any DIY instructions? Would be nice so we can try it
ok now in the 2024 the bias adjustment was?
Bring your speakers into room? Is it treated? Beautiful amp, but....
Nice music! The Genesis that is!
-- à l'évidence sonore un excellent amplificateur,
Thank you!
Hermoso trabajo clase A amplificador
The beloved class A amplifiers. After 580 watt of losses can deliver an exceptional sound quality of 2x35 watt or so.
Really beautiful build Peter , big effort to build an F5 , how is the sound , is it worth the effort ..?
Regards
Sound is excellent, maybe the best. Pass is Pass.
Beautiful!
Looks amazing but you keep your amp hidden and your speakers inside the closet 😅
Nice work bravo

Queria conhecer alguem no BRASIL que fiessese esse tipo de trabalho.
Is there a blueprint for this case. Its beautiful
did you set up bias at 0.4 volts or 0.3 volts?
where did you buy those huge heat sink?
very nice
Thank you!!
Very good!
Where did you get the pcb boards for the amp? Make your own? Diy audio site? Terrifc inspiring build!
Great music to boot!!!
Will you build one for me, what's the cost?
Awesome project! Any estimate on hour many hours for the build?
WHAT A MONSTER!
Well done.
Real beauty!
Very cool. Amazing.
Thank you
Perfect
Congratulations.
VERY VERY NICE
Where did you get the pcb's from ?
Супер!❤
Thank you!
Make sound without power too....hahaha...
Masterpiece...truely...
very nice!
Beauty work
What temperature of heatsink?
around 30 °C over ambient temperature. Thanks

Does it sound like real aleph 5 !??
Sure. It was compared with the original one. Thank you for question.
Dear Sir, could I ask you what the power switch is? I would like to use the same in my amp. Thanks you in advance for any help. Regards Bruno
LORLIN RMS1130 or similar. Thanks for question

pretty!
großartig!
Great Job ! One question: 2 transformers but 1 capacitors bank? how it is possible to have in common the power capacitors? thank you.
Hello, 1 transformer 110V for voltage. Here there are 2 voltages + and - with common ground. In this way the amp can work with 110V or 230V.

That’s a master piece of manual craftsman shift. Sad to see speakers squeezed into corners.
I need a new toaster.
Electronic boards, nothing special, the chassis, is amazing...

Heat sinks are not big enough.

Metal knobs??? Now that’s just being lazy. 😂
such huge distortion on this amp
?
Your head is crooked!
