My immediate denture was so big , awkward,,,dentist assigned by medicaid didn't explain what I had signed up for,,,bone spurs , gagging,,,, didn't wear it,,,still don't,,,,he got paid and could care less,,,my impression ❤
I'm five weeks out from my upper extractions, and I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because I've had no pain. My biggest issue is they're HUGE. Even with adhesive, they shift when I eat. I'm due for a soft reline next week and I can't wait. Both of my parents have dentures (my dad lost his teeth at 21!) and I see them talking and eating almost everything so I know I'll get there, but it's hard to be patient.
It’s a personal preference. There are pros and cons to each way. Sleeping with can help with clenching gums together, but it can be a time for rest with the dentures. 50/50 either way. I don’t advise for or against but I do advise thorough cleaning of the dentures and mouth if you are sleeping in them. I do not advise going to bed without a regular cleaning routine.
Many of my patients sleep with the dentures in. This, in my opinion is up to the patient and their comfort. As long as the dentures are cleaned before bed you are fine

That is terrible. I’m sorry you were treated this way. My patient’s success means so much to me❤

I've had dentures for 1 yr. Do you recommend sleeping without dentures? What are the pros and cons, in your professional opinion?
