Thrill of the fight changed my life. I’ve been doing 12 round fights every other day since July 2021 (with weights here and there) lost about 40lbs and now I get so many compliments on my physique/looks. Best 10 dollars spent
Thrill of the Fight was my first VR exercise app. I love it. It brings out the beast in me and forces me to go hard, because it awakens the competition within me.
Thank you for showing off Adventure FItness VR! We'll do our best to address your feedback and add more leg activation sections so there's more of a high intensity workout to it!
What a great vid! Just wondering if there are any new exercise games that you'd recommend that have come out in the past few months? I need to get into action tomorrow!
I haven't seen much for the main quest store, but there are some exciting games on app lab! I am working on a review and hope to have it out in 2 weeks :)
Thank you so much! And I completely agree about BeatSaber. I didn't include most of the rhythm apps in this video because most of them aren't designed as "fitness" games (at least not yet) - but I have a completely separate video on just the rhythm games and how they can be used to work out - including BeatSaber! You can see that video here: ua-cam.com/video/giC-HfzJQ34/v-deo.html
I’m just getting back into a fitness routine and joined a fitness center. In speaking with the staff at the center I asked if it would be ok if I bring in my VR headset to workout and was told yes it would be an acceptable workouts. Do you have any suggestions on which app I can use in the gym. Currently, I have VZ FIT which I’ve used on my recumbent cycle at home. Unfortunately the fitness center doesn’t have recumbent cycles but there are peloton type cycles and rowing machines so I’m leaning in direction of using those. Any additional suggestions you could make would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The only other app I know that use fitness equipment is Holofit. They use bikes, rowing machine and elyptical I believe. I haven't had a chance to try them with equipment yet since I haven't been able to bring my setup to a gym - but I have heard wonderful things and they have a great variety of courses and challenges :)
Thank you for the info. It’s given me some direction. I’m not sure if I want to take on another subscription on top of fitness ct fees. But you have given me a great starting point. Thanks again
2.44k followers.. you deserve so many more! you got straight on with the video, gave amazing info about each game (the price, what platforms they're on, what parts of the body it the workout focuses on and saying which games are actually worth picking up and which might not be, specially with the subscription prices the game holds)! and i liked the way you walked into each vr scene to give the info, was a nice touch (:! you gained my sub! i hope your channel takes off, it deserves to!
Hello! Loving your channel, have purchased Audio Trip and Pistol Whip because of your reviews and love them. I have Supernatural too, just in case you didn’t know you are able to skip warm-ups and cool-downs with a simple button press - I like to combine flow and boxing sessions in my workout and don’t need to do cool down or warm-up in between. (Fellow Canadian 🇨🇦).
Hey! Oh wonderful - I didn't know that! I will have to look for it more carefully next time - thank you so much for sharing 💜 And I am so glad you are enjoying the games :)
I do the same, I save a couple of workouts on My List and then combine them, skipping the in between cool down and warm-ups and ending with an extended stretch session sometimes (and meditation). I can easily spend 2hrs in there that way lol
I picked up les mills last week upon your recommendation. as an ex crossfitter that fell out at the beginning of the pandemic, I can confidently say this is an intense competitive style workout and have really enjoyed it.
That is so awesome! I am glad you are enjoying it :) I love how they made the game intense and tough without sacrificing form. Shows that you don't need to throw 1000 obstacles at the player to make them workout hard ;)
This is the first review I've ever seen for X Fitness (formerly X-Booster). I've owned it for a few months already and its great. My 2 cents is that Synth Riders is better than Audio Trip. Also, Eleven Table Tennis can burn some serious calories too if you have the skill to play faster and not just tip tap the ball. If I want to wipe myself out in the shortest time possible then Thrill of the Fight is still the go-to for me.
I just want to know how it all works! Where do you download the apps? You buy the VR set and then what do you do to get the games and exercises and where do they get downloaded? Please help?
Hello! It all depends on which headset you buy, as it will give you different options. If you got a Quest 2, then the easiest place to find the apps is in the Quest app store, which will launch once you turn on the headset, or you can browse the store on the companion app on your phone. They have a "fitness apps" category that you can look through. It's a bit hard to have these conversations via UA-cam, but feel free to DM me on Instagram instagram.com/vikingprincessvr or email me at contact@vikingprincess.ca if you want to learn more!
I have a friend of which I am considering getting the Oculus equipment for exercise and enjoyment purposes. She has had knee operations so am wondering which game in which a person could utilize for getting back into shape but not extremely over the top. Any suggestions?
Hello! There are several games that are very friendly for those with knee concerns - most good games allow you to adjust your squat heighs or take them out entirely. It would depend on what she thinks is fun, but supernatural is the first one I think of when it comes to adjusting settings so that there is no or little lower body work. I am fairly certain that synth riders, audio trip and beat saber also have a no-wall modifier :)
Only if you are a legacy user, meaning you bought the game when it was a one-time fee and before they went subscription-based. If not, you can give their 7-day free trial a try or you would have to subscribe.
As I specified in the video: This review focused on Fitness-priority games only. Although Synth Riders have the punch/power mode, it doesn't have a lot of other features that would make it a Fitness game vs. a rythm game (with fitness opportunities). I will do a ryrhm game comparison/review soon, and Synth Riders will definitely be on that list 💜
I feel Synth Rider should have been on the list. I lost a lot of weight with it. They even have spiral mode which uses a lot of core and lower body muscles I feel. Depending on how you move around, if you put a little dance in your movements, you can break a good sweat. And if you add custom maps to the device, they got the best maps that will give you an intense workout like from the mappers Excession, Darnoc & many more. You got different levels too from easy to masters. One you get to master levels you really get an intense cardio workout. I have a custom map on there for my song called Mercury Retrograde mapped by Excession, try that one out, it’s not for the weak at heart.
I did a UA-cam Live on it a few weeks ago - you can find it on my profile under "Live streams". I am not a fan - It doesn't deliver in the way other more reasonable fitness apps do, and it currently have some serious flaws when it comes to proper exercise design. However anything that get you motivated and moving is a win! As long as you are not using added weight and moving within your abilities, there's more to gain than possible harm :)
Hi, thanks for sharing this video. I am a big fan of les miles. Could you please tell me how you have recorded the game play video? Please share a guide if possible. Cheers
Hello! The recordings are done using software called LIV. Unfortunately, I do not have any tutorials on it, but I am sure you can find several with a quick UA-cam search :)
I am a Supernatural person. I got it when it was first released and we got a guaranteed price for life of $149 a year US. So I tried LM and I liked it but I injured myself so I stopped that. I work in an auto plant so I need my shoulders and arms to do repetitive work 8-9 hours a day and then find an VR exercise app that I can go to that counters that repetition motion without injury. I may try again LM because of the reviews. My other issue is that some of these exercise app have a lot of visual stimuli and as an older person, I have a problem with that. Great video. Thanks for the honest review.
Ah yes - the visual stimuli can definitely be overwhelming! X-Fitness and Audio Trip do have the option to reduce them. And that makes a LOT of sense - to be looking for something that makes you move differently to avoid any overuse injury etc. May I ask how you injured yourself playing LM?
@@VikingPrincessVR I over did it on the upstrokes. Almost immediately felt pain. I knew I overdid the workout and should have started at a lower intensity. I will definitely revisit LM.
I'm a bit surprised about your verdict on Supernatural. While I also think the subscription price is rather high and wish they offered a purchase+DLC option, I have found that their boxing workouts in particular can really have me sweating... and that's just on their "medium" level (!). I do think I've been *more sore muscle-wise* from Body Combat, though. Oh, and I do agree with you re what an incredible cardio workout Audiotrip is... and they've absolutely got the best, most musical choreos in their non-cardio sections, so the app is impressive overall. Gotta say that the music itself really... er... isn't my taste, though :( (and in contrast, Supernatural has the best selection of music by far).
Music selection is likely one of the most difficult things fitness apps deal with. Everyone has such different tastes, and original music is really expensive to licence. About Supernatural - the app has so many amazing things going for it, but the implementation is not for me/what I am looking for. I can sweat while taking the classes, but I don't find that they push me as FitXR and Bodycombat do. Glad you found one that works for you and that keeps you motivated - that's what it's all about 🏆🏆
I would agree with you if Supernatural could be used outside of Canada and the US. What good is a subscription if you travel for work or if you are going on a long trip and you can't bring your subscription with you?
That is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing :) I tried setting up with a few local gyms to get it tested out, but because of current restrictions and me wanting to film it, it just didn't work out
Thanks for the video! Some thoughts I had: 1) Audiotrip is GREAT, but it needs more songs. I love the side to side jumps to get around the red walls, however. I’m just getting kind of bored with the same songs over and over. 2) Thrill of the Fight seems like a good workout, but I feel like the app is extremely confusing and they don’t really explain anything for new users 3) FitXR is good in some ways, but I feel like the tracking is sometimes kind of off or finnicky when I’m smashing the glass thingies. It feels like I’m hitting stuff a lot and have to hit it a few times. It is a nice option to have, but not as realistic as some others. 4) Les Mills is a good workout and I like that it can be used when traveling internationally (unlike Supernatural), but I feel like it’s just kind of boring and lacking excitement. The classes seem really repetitive. I would not want to do it on a daily basis, but it’s a good way to mix things up. 4) Supernatural is my favorite. I love the “outdoor” natural feeling vs being indoors in a dark laser room like with Audiotrip. I like seeing the new locations. I like having new classes with music that I like. As far as getting a good workout - I’m in pretty good shape and I used to think it was an okay workout, but not great. My HR would be around 135-155 for flow. I started adding more full-body movements. I jump upwards when I hit upwards, and I jump down when I’m hitting down. I put a lot more thought into how I generate power going from one move to the next. My HR is now around 165-185 for the hard flow workouts. The boxing is also a really good workout. Try adding your own jumps into the flow workout and see if that helps! As someone else mentioned in these comments, you can also skip the warmups and cooldowns. I think the instructors are the most lifelike with SN. It helps that they’re real people that you can follow on social media as well - not just avatars! I’ve gone from SN feeling like a medium workout to SN feeling like the hardest workout I do with my Oculus. I’m completely out of breath and sweating and my arms are looking better.
Thanks for the reviews. I like that games like HitStream and X-Fitness have free demos you can use, and, unlike the Beat Saber demo, they have about a dozen songs to choose from, at least. Especially with all the similar rhythm games out there. I like the OST music and choice of background for HitStream a lot better than X-Fitness, as well as the rotation (I think this also gives you a heads up with an arrow pointing left or right depending on which portal will be next) a but I got a much better workout on X-Fitness once I got all the challenges worked out. Most of these probably give a better workout than HitStream, which is too bad, since there is a lot I like about the rest. Supernatural and FitXR also have their free trial period, although it is pretty short, seeing as if you want an extra month, it's as much as buying some of the other games. I have to figure out the "custom music" for some of these, but I feel like it will not be synced to the music and I'm unsure how that will affect the enjoyment.
There are a few people in the community that adding custom tracks to X-Fitness and love it! I am just too lazy to do so myself - I'd rather just jump in and workout 😂 It's too bad that Supernatural shortened their free trial from 30 days to 7 days - since as you mention, it's so expensive to get even a month subscription. I do hope HitStream will update their game and add more up-and-down movements so that it becomes a better workout!
Hitstream has circles you squat and move to put your face through. A couple of the workouts have a lot of them (I'm using the free version) and wear you out. Make sure you don't have squats turned off. I turn them off on when my knees are hurting.
lovin the "VP walk-ins" to explain in more detail. I'm a big fan of body combat and thrill of the fight, to me body combat feels like going for a run while TofF feels like doing sprints. bonus to beat saber for being great for warmups or longer, lighter sessions.
So, from my post below: I've watched some reviews of the on sale games for week April 11, 2022. Hyper Dash and Solaris are just speed shooting games. Don't seem like a workout. Player 22 looks pretty good, it has a lot of variety and had the reviewer huffing after a few minutes with most games. Also, it's 44% off. Reakt looked like a good workout, but seemed pretty one note, kind of like the new punching post game and the music is pretty pathetic from what I've watched. I still have to check out Swarm and Resist. Have you played any of these games?
@@VikingPrincessVR Checking out Swarm It looks like a fast shooter that also has you jumping around from building to building like Spiderman, so you are flailing your arms around throughout the game like a distressed chimp. So, seems like it would be half way between Beat Saber and a fast shooter. VRFitness insider gave the following for 30 min workout: Calories burned: 164 Calories burned per minute: 5 Average Heart Rate: 104 Max Heart Rate: 130 Active Minutes: 23 I think Resist looks like about the same thing, but only five months old. I'm not sure I would enjoy either with my bit of acrophobia.
thrill of the fight is a great work out. i bring my fighting experence and imagenation. what if this was a real fight a very great reflex training game. Im one of those guys who likes working my self. to being dead dog tired cant hold my arms up anymore nut job l like it its, a great game plan training game for your self defence then its the 250 pound heavy bag in the garage
I think you missed a lot of the features of Hitstream. Hitstream is full of squats. There are rings you put your head through and they go lower and higher forcing squats. Most of the workouts are quite energetic. There is also a screen with extensive performance explanation after you finish the workout. It also has leaderboards for each workout showing the leaderboards for the 1 week, 1 month, 6 month, and all time. I also think you did Holofit a disservice since it's really designed for use with fitness machines (I have and love using it with a non-Bluetooth rower) I believe the use of controllers without a fitness machine is just an attempt at a work-around and not a fair judgement of the app. Fitxr and audiotrip do look interesting if I ever feel the need for more fitness apps. I have enough for now. BTW, Synth Riders does have a force mode that is more cardio boxing style.
I played the tutorial through hitstream and quite a few tracks - and I didn't get a good workout from it. There is extensive information yes - but presented in a way that is complicated and didn't elicit any urge to push harder - like other apps do. I aslo did mentio the leaderboards in the lobby. I was pretty clear in the video how I was lacking the equipment part for Holofit - but the app contacted me to test their non-equipment features. I tried calling a few local gyms to go in a try with equipment, but because I wanted to record and the current covid regulations I was unable to. I have played Synth riders force mode and yes it makes you move more, but I still don't think it has the features to take it from a ryrhm game to a fitness game. I am planning to do a separate review/comparison of rhythm games later on - and will be mentioning that feature then. As I mentioned in the video - the list was not in order, even if I saved my favorite for last. Instead, I tried to keep games with similar features and movement patterns together :)
My selection..... Best for cardio >>>. X-Fitness - Thrill of the fight -. Pistol Whip. Les mills when it is in Spanish it could be, but it will be a subscription in a short time (Les mills are a greedy money machine)
Les Mills is NOT changing to subscription - they are ADDing it - as an OPTION. It will be as a paid DLC- same as with BeatSaber music packs. Pistol Whip is an amazing game - but not included here as it's a rhythm game, and not a "fitness" game (even if it makes you sweat). I will do a separate video on just rhythm games later on :)
Hello! I considered picking it up to include in this video, but judging from what I could see from the videos, etc it didn't look like anything too exciting or unique. So since I would have had to pay for it, I decided to skip it. I will look into checking it out in the future tho - likely for one of my live streams :)
@@VikingPrincessVR You get a 7 day free trial. I started it and them cancelled it immediately but still got the 7 days to try out. My friend loves it but i bearly broke a sweat on it, however others like it? By far the best is Les Mills
@@Jkvrvids oooh I must have missed the free trial. Will definitely put it on my list for the Sundays streams for the next couple of weeks then! Thanks!
I think an honorable mention should be made for VRIT and VRWorkout (I know you don't like the latter) as they are different in that they encourage strength based training, unlike any of the apps on your list. I still think a better app is coming in this area.
We have changed a LOT since the time she tried it and that test was even a very outdated Steam version to begin with but I don't think that the core objection has changed. So there is no expectation to be included in such a list. BTW: If you want to join us we are doing daily VRWorkout group sessions so that new players have a way to get the hang of it without being overehelmed.
Since I have psvr I wont play any of those games. Beat Saber and Creed are really good and boxVR is another great game to get the cardio up. I wish I could play thrill of the fight but its not on playstation.
BoxVR is actually FitXR - they launched BoxVR on Steam/high-resolution first, then went to FitXR when they re-packaged the game for stand-alone devices. Such a great workout! BeatSaber is wonderful but as it's not built as a "fitness app" I didn't include it in this review- I did however add it to my "best rhythm games" review ;) Thrill of the Fight announced they were launching a second version of the game in 2023 - let's hope hey launch it to PSVR as well!
I appreciate your feedback; however the choice of not having chapters is a very conscious one and based on the current UA-cam algorithm. For my channel and these videos, it makes the most sense not to have chapters.
I agree can’t seem to find the one game she was speaking of, was it called Agaze? Chapters with names would be real nice, but still love how informative you are.
@@MasterPsychic I am away on holidays but will do my best to find you the game title. In the meantime, try turning on the subtitles. I make my own, and check that game titles are spelled correctly :)
Great video! I like how you jumped in and gave your final review after each introduction of the apps. I currently am enjoying Les Mills BodyCombat and Thrill of the Fight. The rest, which I have tried them all besides the fitness adventure, just do not do it for me and really do not feel like fitness. Also, great outfit choice for this video! 😁
Thank you so much for the feedback :) And that's really interesting! Is it that you don't feel like you get sweating from them, or they are just not "fitness" enough?
@@VikingPrincessVR As a former bodybuilder, I am always looking for workouts that will work my muscle groups fully. Meaning stretching fully, retracting fully at a pace that will raise the heart rate for burning calories as well as allow me to enjoy the workout. Les Mills does that. The rest just seem to try getting you moving so quickly you do not have time to fully extend and contract the muscles. Yes, you sweat, but I never felt like I truly got a full workout.
As a very fit 20year old, if you’re not sweating buckets playing supernatural then you’re doing something wrong and not pushing yourself. Definitely worth the $20(USD) a month for me.
HoloFit: There are plenty of 360 degree UA-cam videos that make stationary exercise equipment more tolerable. I do pay for UA-cam Premium. But I use it for more than just exercise and not having the interrupting ads is worth it.
With BeatSaber, the higher levels/more efficient gameplay actually make you move your body less -unless you are actively trying to find ways to move more - as it becomes all about the wrist flicks. I can imagine T0TF being the same way. Our bodies are champions of saving energy and "taking shortcuts" -that's why changing up your workout routine and exercise is essential in order to continue to see progress. Try something different - I recommend Bodycombat!
There needs to be a game where you squat down to kill something and crunch abs to push things out of the way. They also need to stop with subscriptions. I'm so annoyed that the younger generations accepted that business model. You should only have to pay for something once. If they want us to pay for other things, the should have additional features/games they include each month that people can choose to get if they want to.
Thanks for this Tine, I'm curious about that X-Fitness thing. For myself, I really don't like subs on games. It's something I already disliked with MMOs and I'm sure not going to do that for fitness. I'd rather have a base game to buy with extra DLC to expand on it. Still I am curious to the Les Mills game, but the idea that subs would be added just like the other fitness games, just makes it a bit meh. Why does that have to be with fitness games but not with rhythm games? I myself use PowerBeats as a fitness game, and its def not perfect and a tad repetitive, but it makes me sweat and squat on my own songs, and for 10 euro in a sale, that's a good deal to me! I'll def keep an eye on the other games you mentioned! Oh and FUN is ofc also still an important aspect of a fitness game, in order to keep playing it! Which one is the most fun for you Tine?
I get that subscription is a turn-off, but for Les Mills, think of it more as an optional DLC. i definitely think X-Fitness is 1000x better than PowerBeats, so definitely check it out! And for me, Les Mills is the most fun, and FitXr HIIT just push me in a way that feels incredible and powerful 💜
@@VikingPrincessVR if that's what it's going to be that would def be an improvement! and I really need to check out X-Fitness then! I feel like I have become more fit just using the more "easier" games so I might be getting ready for something more challenging now ;) thanks so much!
Big sale on "fitness and fun" games this week on Mocula (Meta/Oculus 🤣). I was hoping Les Mills would be in there and the new iB Cricket game, but alas, looks like it will be a loooong wait for a sale if it's not in this bunch. I already own most of them, but there's a few I think about, although I still haven't played all of them, LOL. I still have a backlog. Hyper Dash, Player 22, Reakt, Swarm and Resist might be good fitness/sports games. Also totally Baseball, just for fun. Not sure what to think of Disc Ninja and Solaris, but they only get 3.5 stars out of 5. Also, games like Knockout League, MVP Football, Golf+, Golf 5, Holopoint and Racket Fury I am hesitant about because there are similar games that look better/more fun. Knockout League looks like maybe it was made for young kids with opponents like Sir Octopunch, heehee.
I think you should really test the apps before commenting. I think your review of Holofit is unfair since you didn’t really try the app and how hard would it have been for someone in fitness to have access or borrow equipment to connect.
I made it very clear in my video that I only reviewed the non-equipment part of the game -- which is something Holofit has reached out to me directly to do. Access to equipment, filming, timing etc is actually a lot more complicated that you'd think. This video already took me over 50 hours to make - adding the equipment part would have easily taken another 10. Unfortunately, I do not have that kind of spare time on my hands.
I totally agree! Competing against other player's scores is super motivating! BODYCOMBAT VR does the same, but you don't see the avatar of the other players. Unless you do private lobbies, both games use recordings of users playing previously as your competitors :)
Synth Riders is amazing and on my list of the best Rhythm games. This video focuses on apps that are specifically developed for Exercise, so SR didn't fit this category :)
Would love to hear your thoughts on what kind of VR fitness games you'd like to see in the future. Like what kind of movements etc. I think the scene could use new ideas.
Hello! Bodycombat at FitXR are still my go-to! I have a more recent video on FitXR showing some of the new features they added, and I will release an update on Bodycombat next - just being delayed with summer holidays and family visiting :) I also still use apps like BeatSaber, SynthRiders, and Ragnarock when I have a hard time finding motivation and just want to get moving/have fun :) You can find more information about those in my video about the best rhythm games: ua-cam.com/video/giC-HfzJQ34/v-deo.html
I completely understand that. Personally, I don't see them as "games" but as an exercise app/tool. I pay a monthly subscription for my Les Mills On Demand, and I used to pay monthly fees for going to the gym. To me, this is just an extension of that and since I use the app (FitXR) every week, and new classes are coming out every week, I think a subscription is worth it. Had it been the same content over and over, then no, I would not pay per month for it.
The world does not revolve around the US... I don't use USD either. You can use those prices as reference during the review, then check your local price.
@@tedfrankenstein1317 Oh you can't do math, its understandable from an American. Please accept my apologies for having any expectations from worlds "reality TV" country :)
Super awesome review, I've tried all the games you mention here before I settled on Supernatural. It's interesting that you felt like Supernatural didn't give you a good workout. Maybe you didn't really commit to the movement, or you didn't put enough power in your hits? Here is how I look when I go for it: ua-cam.com/video/rq5uXPykXz4/v-deo.html.
lol alot of people ask me this, but trust me - ny commitment and power output is not the issue :) I am in very good shape, and need more challenges for larger muscle groups to increase my heart rate. When I record for videos, I am limited by the technology, and recording on high levels become difficult and the video quality terrible. With Supernatural I also do my best to hold my head as still as I can for a better viewing experience - so the recorded video is not a representation of how I play - but the best way to show the game graphically. I prefer games like BodyCombat because you have time to set yourself up for proper form and muscle activation, using largers muscles in your legs, back, and core - which again i crease your heart rate and intensity. For the hours I have played Supernatural, I find the higher levels promote "arm flailing" more than form, and I also don't find the format particularly motivating. Again, it's 100% a personal opinion, and I have no problem understanding why people love this app - it is very well done! But for me, it's not providing what I am looking for :)
in what sense? That is does not address apps whos purpose is fitness( ie not rhythm games - there is another video for that), that they all can't be played on Quest 2, that there is 10 of them in the video, or that it's the apps I considered the best on the market when the video was made?
Because when I dress for working out, I wear what I feel comfortable in, not what other people may think of it. Glad you got the point of the video tho ;)
Which games are you having a hard time finding? All the games in this video are available to anyone - but some are only available through SteamVR. You can play SteamVR games on your Quest 2 via the Quest link.
Not much of an expert are ya? you missed other games and you did not mention that the quest 2 junk is only good for about a 40min workout if that unless you buy extra battery life and you will also need the better headstrap another added cost.. so looking at the quest 2 256 at 400+ dollars then another $80 for cable link then 40 for extra battery life so you will have 2 lithium batteries strapped to your head $40 more for the headstrap that should have come with it.. and you missed a few fitness games that do NOT COST fees.. this is a horrible video!!!
Thank you for your very constructive feedback. Although this video was in no way a review of the Quest 2 headset - only apps that you can play while using it - I'm happy to inform you that I have no problem working out for over 1 hr without any additional head straps battery - I actually never use them. I also worked out with the original head strap for over 18 months before I added a padding - which I got on amazon for 18 dollars. A link cable is not needed to play any of these games - I use one for recording purposes only. Airlink works perfectly fine. I am failing to see the relevance of the cost of the initial headset - so I am going to ignore that part, other than to let you know I have the 128 GB and have no problem keeping all my fitness games installed at the same time. As you may notice from the description of this video, it was made in early 2022. Since then, there has been many new games - some even free - added to app lab. I am planning on reviewing them in the coming month, but as time is not unlimited, I haven't been able to do so yet.
Did I miss any apps on my list? Comment below!!!

Thrill of the Fight was my first VR exercise app. I love it. It brings out the beast in me and forces me to go hard, because it awakens the competition within me.
The competitive aspect of these games is so important!
Thank you for showing off Adventure FItness VR! We'll do our best to address your feedback and add more leg activation sections so there's more of a high intensity workout to it!
Looking forward to seeing the updates!
What a great vid! Just wondering if there are any new exercise games that you'd recommend that have come out in the past few months? I need to get into action tomorrow!
I haven't seen much for the main quest store, but there are some exciting games on app lab! I am working on a review and hope to have it out in 2 weeks :)
That's a great fricking video, thanks! Missing Beat Saber though, depending how you play, it's a massive workout.
Thank you so so much! It means the world that you would take the time to tell me that 💜 We all have to start somewhere - so here's hoping, right? ;)
I am glad you are enjoying it :)
I love how they made the game intense and tough without sacrificing form.
Could you please explain how to record a video of you playing the game and you're in the video?
The details are too complicated to type out here, but I use LIV software
@@VikingPrincessVR thank you for your help
@@cortezcountrygirl Any time!
What I really love about your videos is your positive attitude! Great job!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :)
Thrill of the fight is fun and a great workout, especially if your a fan of fighting. I love it! Can't wait for 2 to be released
ToTF 2 is going to be crazy! I am super curious to see how they do their multiplayer!
i always dream about fullpower mortal kombat or something like that in vr..would be soo cool to do flip kicks and all🤩🤩🤩🤩
😂😂😂 I can just see myself trying to flip and land with my head hallway through a wall 😂😂😂
Can you play basic FitXR modules without subscription?
Only if you are a legacy user, meaning you bought the game when it was a one-time fee and before they went subscription-based. If not, you can give their 7-day free trial a try or you would have to subscribe.
No mention of Synth Riders . . . it just wasn't on your radar or it failed to make the cut?
Les Mills Bodycombat on Quest 2 ist awsome!!! Brings VR workout to a new level.
definitely! Love that app so so much 💪💪
Amazing video! Loved the honest reviews, walk in transitions and your positive energy!😁
Thank you so much! That means a lot :)
What’s your opinion on Liteboxer? Personally, I like it, but the price is steep.
@@VikingPrincessVR Cool, I’ll watch some of your stream. Thanks. I agree FitXR is more for bang for buck as an example.
That was a great review 👏 👍 👌 😀. Can you tell me how you made the videos show as if you were inside of the game?
Thank you! It's filmed in a green screen room using LIV mixed reality capture :)
Great video..."Body Combat" transitions to the VR world perfectly!! Never stop moving humans.....
Right? I am so happy with how they did it :D Perhaps we will see more LesMills programs in VR soon!
Great vid. The breakdowns you provide from a fitness perspective including possible problems with form etc, are very helpful.
Thank you so much! I am glad you are finding them useful :)
Thank you for this! I picked it up now. looking forward to getting into it :D
YAY! Hope you love it!
It’s excellent when used with a rower and Elliptical. I’m planning on buying a stationary bike to expand my exercise regiment with this app.
That is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing :) I tried setting up with a few local gyms to get it tested out, but because of current restrictions and me wanting to film it, it just didn't work out
Thanks for the video! Some thoughts I had:
1) Audiotrip is GREAT, but it needs more songs. I love the side to side jumps to get around the red walls, however. I’m just getting kind of bored with the same songs over and over.
2) Thrill of the Fight seems like a good workout, but I feel like the app is extremely confusing and they don’t really explain anything for new users
3) FitXR is good in some ways, but I feel like the tracking is sometimes kind of off or finnicky when I’m smashing the glass thingies.
I feel like, I feel like, I feel like😂😂
I didn't like Audio Trip until I tried Cardio Mode and it blew my fitness watch off my wrist.
Great Video, I love the green screen action!! :D
thank you so much 💜
Thanks for the reviews.
Glad you enjoyed the feature! It was a lot of work lol - but I had fun with it
Thanks so much for posting this!
Thank you for watching 💜
You definitely need to add Les Mills Body Combat to this list!
I guess you didn't watch the whole video... FeelsBadMan
I have not actually. I was looking into Reakt - It's on my list to check out during a live stream soon :)
@@VikingPrincessVR Checking out Swarm It looks like a fast shooter that also has you jumping around from building to building like Spiderman, so you are flailing your arms around throughout the game like a distressed chimp. So, seems like it would be half way between Beat Saber and a fast shooter. VRFitness insider gave the following for 30 min workout: Calories burned: 164
Calories burned per minute: 5
Average Heart Rate: 104
Max Heart Rate: 130
Active Minutes: 23
I think Resist looks like about the same thing, but only five months old.
@@VikingPrincessVR Thanks for your explanations! 😀
@@VikingPrincessVR Hey Viking, Yesterday I buy Audio trip…. and is awesome. Now my new favorite. Thanks Princess.
Hey Viking princess have you played liteboxer? I was very disappointed, be interesting to see what you think.
Thanks!
@@VikingPrincessVR awesome look forward to watching it.
I think an honorable mention should be made for VRIT and VRWorkout (I know you don't like the latter) as they are different in that they encourage strength based training, unlike any of the apps on your list. I still think a better app is coming in this area.
I haven't had a chance to check out VRIT yet - will add it to my list!
VRIT killed me when I tried it haha, it's really good! Thanks for mentioning, I'll have to get back to it at some point.
Please add chapters to your videos. It would make checking out specific apps much easier!
I pump my arms in spaceball vr it's working
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
@@VikingPrincessVR many more reasons. But Les Mills is the full package.
Finally a good list of VR fitness apps
Thank you!
As a very fit 20year old, if you’re not sweating buckets playing supernatural then you’re doing something wrong and not pushing yourself. Definitely worth the $20(USD) a month for me.
Glad you are enjoying it! 💪
xFitness seems like a fun and easy to use one.
It definitely is! But I suggest playing around with the different settings and modifiers :)
@@VikingPrincessVR Good point. I loaded up some Beat Saber and realized a lot of things can be turned off to make it more fun.
HoloFit: There are plenty of 360 degree UA-cam videos that make stationary exercise equipment more tolerable. I do pay for UA-cam Premium. But I use it for more than just exercise and not having the interrupting ads is worth it.
Let’s do it
great review. Appreciatred by a 3rd day Q2 user!
Thank you! I hope you love your Q2 as much as I do!
X fitness with custom mp3 dnb tracks and 2x speed will easily burn 80 calories per song
Beat saber and thrill of the fight are so exhausting. I found that my body accustomed to it quickly and it didnt seem like a good workout anymore
I feel like I have become more fit just using the more "easier" games so I might be getting ready for something more challenging now ;) thanks so much!
its good!!!
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Holofit Needs a better integration for elliptical machines so I left.
I havne't had a chance to try their machine integrations yet. Sorry to hear it wasn't living up to expectations :/
FitXR is the best because you compete
I totally agree! Competing against other player's scores is super motivating! BODYCOMBAT VR does the same, but you don't see the avatar of the other players. Unless you do private lobbies, both games use recordings of users playing previously as your competitors :)
I've lost 103 pounds playing Synth Rider. Not on this list though....
Synth Riders is amazing and on my list of the best Rhythm games. This video focuses on apps that are specifically developed for Exercise, so SR didn't fit this category :)

Super natural
It's a really great app!
I'm yet to figure out why would anyone pay a monthly subscription for these games.
I also really dislike 'dude' graphics or anything that looks too digital. I look forward to there being a 'naturalism' movement in VR.
Would love to hear your thoughts on what kind of VR fitness games you'd like to see in the future. Like what kind of movements etc. I think the scene could use new ideas.
That is a great idea! I will definitely work on putting something together 💜
What's your favourite
I will _never_ pay a monthly subscription for any game.
Hi from thailand
Hello 👋
If you want to attract a wider audience, mention the USD price as well. Just a tip... ;)
The world does not revolve around the US... I don't use USD either.
You can use those prices as reference during the review, then check your local price.
@@siveonfarcloud4190 You must not be aware of how the financial world works. It's understandable.
The title of this video is misleading.
in what sense? That is does not address apps whos purpose is fitness( ie not rhythm games - there is another video for that), that they all can't be played on Quest 2, that there is 10 of them in the video, or that it's the apps I considered the best on the market when the video was made?
Why did you think wearing that drunk over stretched shirt was a good idea?!?!
Because when I dress for working out, I wear what I feel comfortable in, not what other people may think of it.
Glad you got the point of the video tho ;)
Ни чего не понял.
Your wrong super natural is super
I am glad that Supernatural is working for you.

I have the meta quest 2 and those games are not real
Which games are you having a hard time finding? All the games in this video are available to anyone - but some are only available through SteamVR. You can play SteamVR games on your Quest 2 via the Quest link.
@@VikingPrincessVR pretty much all of them I looked them up on my car and non of them came up
That shirt is distracting
Then watch another video ;)
In other words all garbage
If you don't like VR, games, and breaking a sweat - sure!
