I bought a former beach vacation home so when they did some updates they bought the least expensive big box cabinets. I am living here full time because I am retired and a widow. They just look cheap and I have debated painting them. Your painted box cabinets convinced me that paint would upgrade them. Thanks for the video.

Seriously thank you for posting this. I just called Lowes and they quoted me $3,000 and up for a small single wide mobile homes kitchen. Looks like I'll be doing it myself lol.

You did an amazing job. How did you handle the corner between the sink cabinet. I have the similar corner (Around 150°) I could not find the solution (the existing one is custom made) but it is very expensive to upgrade.

How did you attach the furring strips for the frame of the facade to the tops of the cabinets? Also looks like they furring strips are inset a bit so that the 1/8” paneling sits flush with the face of the cabinets, is that correct? Great job.
What type of crown molding did you use? This looks amazing

Thanks for watching! We didn’t install drawer sliders but that would be a good idea. We used some other organizational items that are working for us. Good luck! We do have another video that shows the whole kitchen renovation if that would be helpful.

Looks great. What screws did you use to connect cabinets together?
Thank you. We used 2 1/2 inch cabinet screws from HomeDepot with the star head.
What did you use for the backsplash? Kitchen looks great!
Thanks. We used shiplap from Lowes.
What did you use on the end pieces? Is there a finish piece much like the kick plate?
Brandon we used bead board on the ends. We have a video that shows the whole kitchen remodel that shows that better if you want to watch that.

You did a great job transforming them from looking raw and inexpensive to nice high quality looking cabinets. Did you have to use wood filler or caulk to smoothen the cabinets before using paint/primer?
I actually bought the same brand and need to figure out how to go about painting them. I’m not sure if I would need to use wood filler or spackling to fill the wood grain before using primer and paint so that the wood grain doesn’t show in the end.
Thanks! We did not use any filler. I was pleased with how the grain was hardly noticeable. But if you don’t want any grain to show you may need to do something. I have a video that shows you how I painted them and what I used if you want to check that one out.
@@maggiescottagediy6107 Thank you very much for the response. That saves me a lot of effort. I read a bunch of reviews on the Lowe’s website and a some people said that it took a lot of sanding. But I think in most of those cases, they just didn’t want the grain showing at all. I can live with the grain a little bit. And honestly in your videos I can barely notice it. I think an extra coat of paint and/or primer might make the wood grain almost disappear.

I just purchased one cabinet because I need to replace a broken wall oven opening so I’m trying to do some rearranging and hoping my math is correct. Anyway thanks for sharing 😁

Did you do new floors before installing new cabinets?
We installed the new floor after installing and painting the cabinets.
How are the cabinets holding up? Are they fairly good quality? I am thinking about putting some of these in my rental home. But wanted to know how durable they might be.
They have held up really well. We have had them for three years now. We have a another video that talks about how well they have held up. Good luck on your project!
What kind of paint did you use on the cabinets
We used Benjamin Moore Waterborne alkloyd enamel from Ace Hardware. I had them do a color match for me from a paint I liked. I have been very pleased with the way it has held up. I have the same cabinetry. How did you install the quartz? Is the quartz too heavy? Did u have to modify the cabinets to support the countertop?

They are quartz countertops from Home Depot. We had them install them and are very pleased with them.

Do kitchen cabinets include a stove when installed
You have to buy a stove separate.
How are they holding up? I have seen mixed reviews. Some say they are fine and others say garbage.

Did you get paint from lowes and if so what's the paint code
We used Benjamin Moore Alkloyd enamel from Ace Hardware. In simply white and a custom color for bottoms. If you can watch the video of me painting them I give you some information that might be helpful.
just curious why you chose lowes over home depot?
They had what we needed and had a sale going on.
How much was installation of the countertop?
We ordered the quartz countertops from Home Depot on sale. Ours cost around $3400 and installation was included. This was of course several years ago so pricing may be different now.
