I’ve been using the Sirui cage too, I’ve been using the smallrig until, I turned the Sirui into its half cage configuration which was game changing for quick mounting to the DJI Rs2/3
Dang!!! I wish I would have bought this instead of the small rig… I put a hand strap on mine, but it just doesn’t fit great. That would have been nice to get a hand strap that was meant for the cage. Wow man, you are almost at 40k, congrats!!! That’s awesome!
Ya, I didn’t even know this company made cages. It was not even on my radar until they contacted me. Thanks, yes, the last few months have been big growth months, it’s been nice.
I have purchased and I really love this but every product has some Problems so Im sharing my person experience after using this. The only thing I hate about this is Sirui cage has problem of cold shoe which is provided on left hand side is total useless if your attaching an original XLR handle coz when after screwing up your handle the gap between Cold Shoe and Handle Screws r toooo close so u cant mount any thing on cold shoe ,that's where small rig wins and they y designed their cold shoe Tilted. SIRUI team pls look into this. Rest everything is Ok and I have already ranked 5 stars on their website.
Whole bottom of the cage is an arca-plate. The thing on the bottom, the extra bit added on, is Manfroto, so you use it one way or the other. The built in arax is the same as all the smallrig cages and most others.
I don't like the falcam designed one but it makes sense for me, because I use my camera on my geartree F38 quick release and also my RS3 with F38 quick release. other than that, i don't use much features of the cage.
My thing with the strap is it makes it harder to attach the camera to a gimbal, had my own side strap on my fx30 cage and it's impossible to get it on a gimbal plate with the strap on.
i see. i mean crazy how say cages look really alike but do not do certain features. been thinking of selling my gimbal as I usually just take vids of friends and family on trips and lighter setup is betterŕrr. not to mention i have to fund for mem cards. v90 is about same price with cf type a nowadays.
The squared out design at the base of the cage where your pinky naturally rests, is not as well designed as Smallrig's offering. It ruins the ergonomics when you are holding the camera. Tilta has this issue too.
Yes, this is to allow the battery door to open. The smallrig cage has a swing open part to allow for this, which is really clever. I hope to get the smallrig to compare.
Thanks Mark I've ordered one using your link, do you know if I can connect most side handles to this? Looking at a few Smallrig ones on sale at the moment but zero experience with cages so just wondering do most handles fit usually?@@markwiemels
fx30 cage... Seriosuly? Why do cage for metal camera with shoes? ... It makes it heavier and doesn't add to image. It only makes money for cage manufacturer.
Airi mounts, nato rails, hdmi clamp, arca plate, dji/manfroto plate, hand strap, and it protects wear on the camera for resale value, for $50. I mean, this is a no brainer for me.

Yes, I have been super impressed. I still don't know why the SIRUI is so much cheaper than the others.
Also, nice to hear from you. I have been following your channel, and journey, for a little while now.
@@markwiemels such a small world, I have been doing the same with your content as well! Keep up the great content my friend 🖖

Thanks for the review. Sirui makes good gear, have been using their tripods and heads for over 10 years and they have never let me down.
Yes, I have only just discovered them, but am very impressed.
How does the Arca Swiss plate work? Where is it? Nobody shows how this actually fits on a tripod.

Thank you!!!! This is exactly what I've been looking for
can I install the Sirui baseplate set to this cage?

That's a very good advance! Thanks and I am ordering it~
I think it’s a pretty sound purchase.

i thought its modular and can easily be taken out?
@@josephitis Its looks like this one is, but I had a strap from a different brand on my cage and because it wasn't quick release it became a pain

Definitely a cage to focus on.
Thanks for sharing.
I love how you did explain this brother
Thanks for the heads up. I went ahead and purchased it.
I bought their Sirui Jupiter primes, they are great, It looks like Sirui offer's really well build equipment
Yeah, those lenses look really good.
Can you take that handle off? I love everything else about this but hate the handle, would rather add me own later down the line
yes.
Thanks!@@markwiemels

Is there a comparably great but affordable cage for the A7S II/III/IV?
Not by this company.
@@markwiemels Nice to see bots of encouragement here in the comments, but IMO they're still a bit spammy :P
Thanks for this! I'm ordering my cage, now.
You wont regret it! I'm glad I could share it, I didn't even know it existed until they reached out to me.
Another great review!
Thanks!

Ye, I'm loving it!
thanks Mark!

You are most welcome.
Your “budget” reviews are “premium”👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks
£70 retail price ain't cheap!
I literally just ordered the Small Rig cage. I wish I seen this first, it looks really good!
You can not go wrong with a smallrig cage, you won’t regret that decision.
e, thank you!
You are most welcome.
The Neewer one is better
The smallrig looks much much better, this isnt the best for sure lol
