For those who have a problem with the operation of the record button: You need to turn on the recording with the shutter button and then turn the camera off and on!! The second important point is that the handle must be turned on BEFORE turning on the camera.
Hi, i can't get the stop record button from the side handle to work. I keep getting the message "external recorder is not connected or is not supported" Any idea??

If you had affiliate links that opened Amazon in the country of the viewer, I would buy this product now. There must be a way to set this up. Or at least put two options. Amazon US and Amazon CA (Canada) That way Canadians don't have to buy out of the country. Thanks, Jason. You're the Man!
I've been looking for a rotating handle for 9:16 to 16:9 for some time.. I have a Canon R5C, I might just buy that now.. unless you have an updated system, I need a cage too haha.. & battery pack
Jason, does the run stop work with the USB to micro USB? I can't get the trigger to work, and tilta is telling me to look at my communication settings. Please help

PWOAH! Gotta get one of them! You're wrecking my Christmas budget Jason. BTW Are you using a portable power supply for your wired lighting? If so, can you recommend anything decent? Anyway, thanks again for another awesome vid, and greetings from North Queensland ;)
i got the pro kit (and mirage and pocket follow focus, gave em a lotta cash during the BF sale), but i dunno if i love it, not that it's bad by any stretch, but i just ordered the Kondor bc they just redesigned it so it has a slot for a wrist strap (a must for me), and am gonna just decide which i like bw it and the Tilta and send the other back. seems a lotta folks sorta frankenstein a rig out of difft pieces from difft brands' cages, so maybe i'll end up going that route? i dunno. we shall see
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema awesome thanks, thy had a variety of cages on there so I didn’t know which one to view. Thanks bro! I thought about getting a gimbal and a cage, but I think for hip hop music videos a cage would be better. Of course you can have both but realistically it’s just me on set
Great question! The Smallrig cage has a 15mm rod attachment at the top which sticks out and doesn’t fit in my bag properly. Really annoying actually. Literally only reason
I really want to love the tilta system but there are a lot of compromises. For fx30 and fx3 owners I doubt they care to have a dovetail system on the bottom, seems like they are trying to drive people to buy their insanely expensive plate. Also no reason why their cage shouldn’t slide sideways into the quick release system rather than having another plate underneath that then slides in forwards and backwards. No front tally light, no ability to use xlr handle. Etc, etc.
I like the finish on this Cage. I own a Sirui Cage for my FX30 which is very similar. New Color Metal Grey. Review soon on my Channel if anybody interested
I really despite 9:16 video but if you had to do it, I think you are better off simply to crop since quality/resolution is meaningless for 9:16 video. I mean nobody is watching vertical video with 4K vertical resolution 😂
I hate vertical format for video. It's amateurish and comes from the fact people hold their phones vertically, so they just got used to holding it that way to take pictures and videos. I know I'll catch some flack from this, but that's ok. Anyway, I just ordered a Tilta cage for my new FX30.

The brand name "Tilta" now actually makes a meaning. Finally!
haha love it

You just convinced me to buy all of that!
haha legend
What if you use the usb port on the camera for power via a v-lock battery .. then I assume you can’t use the record button on the handle .. , right?
Left handle gets in the way of the hdmi that plugs in on the side of the fx3
Please what are the camera settings to make the side handle work?

Your youtube Channel is so underrated
thank you
Can you flip out the screen with the side handle attached?
My record button doesn't work and I can't find any help online 😔
No access to the hot shoe is a big con for me😢
I shoot with the ecm-b10 mic, so I can't use it with this cage😢
how do you schedule your work life and gym? i kinda confused how
As someone who has owned both. Would you recommend the Falcam or Tilta cage for your FX setup? Just got an FX30 and not sure which way to go
Does anybody know if these cages will fit a DJI Gimbal?
so you film vertical with anamorphic lens?

can a grip battery power up camera too?
Hello, my Titla side arm is not working. Does anyone have advice for this with the Fx3?
all figured out thanks to
@Neugasimov. I had to power the side arm on before the camera.
does this cage come with that hand strap ?
Does the usb-c side handle cable control the record button?
If I’m using the Falcam 38 quick release system (apparently arca Swiss compatible), will the base plate work with that?
Looks like a great cage, can you remove the cold shoe part to use the XLR top handle with it? Looking for a cage I can still access the hot shoe with
same here!! does it work with the XLR handle?
Fx30 good for mid budget filmmaking?
Are the links to the tilta kit there? And the rotating arm?
my bad. Added now

Where do you get the strap for the right side of this cage?
Hey Jason, do you know if you can record 4K 50 fps from the fx30 on the Ninja 5? Grtz from The Netherlands
As always you are the best
thank you
So no Falcam anymore?
only with my a7iv i still use falcam
I’m literally shedding tears as I put my fx30 into the small rig half cage that I’m not too fond of.
I ditched that cage as I didnt like the 15mm rod section. Stuck out too much for my backpack
Love it but I’d need a monitor especially with the angle needed to adjust to see it all the time
You link everything in your room except the tilta gear🤷♂️
LOVE THE PINK NAILS AT 54 SEC lol

for my A7IV yes just not for the FX30

powerful tilta 👍🏻
yes yes
Will this work for the a7siii aswell?
I have not tried but I don't think so

How long 99W battery lasts on this particular rig? Please let me know, thanks

Hey, Great Video! Very informative.
Would you recommend this for someone shooting with a Canon R5 also or is there a better option.. like small rig?

so you cant use the XlR handle with this cage unless you take the top off, thats so dumb.
щас бы с анаморфным стеклом вертикально снимать))
after all that stuff you added it looks as heavy as a gimbal
if you mount anything no room available.
