I’ll never get over the fact that ultima weapon is carrying ultima weapon from FF7, and of course in final fantasy 7, you get Cloud’s ultima weapon, called ultima weapon, by defeating ultima weapon.
Just a lead up to this fight alone is incredible, the SFX and lack of music builds suspense. And finally the heartbeat right before the battle kicks in. I can feel my anxiety rising

He's not all that hard if you have the right spells junctioned to the right stats. The only thing that makes him hard is he's so damn fast and can cast light pillar 3 times in a row which could easily wipe out all of your party members.
It would be cool if the voice actor for the mortal kombat 2 character selection screen voiced the spells during battle, like "Graviija" or "quake" when they're casted...

jeeze. didnt know this game had an easy mode. i wish i coulda fought this ultima instead of the one on my copy. was gonna walk back up and save instead of fighting it, then watched this and thought I could beat it. thats 5 hours of my life ill never get back.

Not really, Ultima Weapon’s max HP is 100k. each Renzokuken was around 5500 damage per slash and there were 6-7 slashes. He did like 3 or 4 renzokukens and so thats enough to kill him.
real piece of cake compared to omega .ff8's only flaw (in my opinion) was the way the junction system was handled.i like the system itself but it allowed you to get way too overpowered way too fast and just plow through the game,decimating anything in front of you.the grind for the kind of boosts junction gave you was way to easy and way too fast.

His first move was a one hit kill, I have initiative equipped and it made no difference, he got it off as soon as the fight started, from that point I was healing and reviving the whole fight till he killed me. I beat him in the original, I'll beat him in the remaster
With spamming the spell Aura and getting a powerful weapon for Squall, using Renokuken makes it super easy, just get Recover or Full Life and you're good.
remember this boss fight from my anti social child hood playing video games and I loved it. It was incredibly hard but FF8 battle is so unbalanced that all you needed was auras and squal special to win the match. It did take like 20 tries though.
Is the final boss on Kolobos Island in Brave Exvius Ultima Weapon? They referred to it as a weapon, but I have yet to start the Altar of Decay dungeon.
Tough boss to beat. I do think you're quite low leveled here as ultima weapon should have more HP than just 50 or 60.000. To all who wants this the easy way (also requires some luck though) is to cast aura on Selphie, let someone get a GF that takes a long time in it's summon. When the GF.s out, just scroll "do over" until you get Selphies "the end". Click "cast" and you're home. Draw Eden first, but that's a nobrainer though since that's the only reason to fight ultima weapon in the first place obviously
One, this video is old. Two, higher leveled characters means higher leveled bosses, and this boss caps out at level 100, and has over 150,000 HP. So, uh, yeah, sorry that my videos aren't perfect. I may redo this video, who knows,.

You guys have to be using hacks. I've been fighting this thing for almost a month now and every single time his first move is light pillar, by the 5 minute mark of the fight he's done light pillar at least 10 times and even with haste on he's doing 3 or 4 moves before I get a chance to get one off
Vega Winnfield I remember struggling on Bahamut. I used Zell on the steam and had to battle to the bottom (can’t use no encounters if you do it that way) Got to the bottom started battle Draw Eden Use aura on squall Light pillars twice leaving squall alive I renzo and get lion heart. It’s dead Felt like a quick draw battle lol
love this game and great fight, squall Renzokuken is strong but you should have used Aura on Zell, you could have taken him down in 1 turn with 12sec and the right combos

Spam Squall with aura magic, easier that way

Fought it at a super low level, but with a strong knowledgeable build. That way it’s HP was super low. Leveling up is the main hinderance.

Have you ever tried to cast Aura on Ultima Weapon?? He immediately performs "Quantum Nova" his Limit Break dealing 150000 damage to the whole party

You need to junction Ultima to his attack attribute as it's the best one to equip. That, and you need to get a better sword for him.
I remember dying to this guy the first time cause he used Light Pillar 3 times in a row on my party. Total BS.

You have to junction ultima or Life to his attack, you're missing the junction elemental on the GFs.

Última is too easy, it's only drawing the Ultima spell from him that's a pain. Other than that, he could be a 2 minute boss fight. Even 1 minute

it has usefull abilities. Quite useless as GF itself though.
While useless as GF, because of the long attack animation, it has some important abilities, like create forbiden magic or recovery items as Hp up etc.
