Can someone explain me why we have to use no wipe top coat instead of using normal top and then wipe off the sticky layer? is there a difference?
I’ve used a no wipe gel topcoat cured with a lamp, and can’t get the holo powder to stick at all.
Don't cure it until it's fully cured, just like the regular nail polish you have to cure it till it's tacky.

Ok so i used a no wipe top coat by pretty diva then i cured it then used the holographic powder on top and it would not rub into the nail? I tried everything the powder only seems to work when I apply the powder to tacky top coat not the no wipe one. What's going on????Can you help please
Can we remove the sticky layer by using Rubbing Alcahol over a gel polish after curing and then rub in the powder?

Hi! I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but I always lose the chrome effect after putting on a gel top coat. It’s like getting washed out
You do the gel top coat before the powder when doing gel but if you mean regular polish then use a water based top coat over the powder. Let that dry. Go over it with gel top coat if you want.

My holo powder won’t stick to the nail! I have bought two different powders and they won’t stick to the nail. I have watched so many videos on holo powder and I’m following the correct steps, I don’t know why it just won’t stick to the polish 😕

Help! I'm having a problem with the powder being splotchy or having gaps. I rub it like no ones business, spent a ton on a nice "no wipe" top coat, and tried using different amounts on each nail but it still isn't coming out solid. What can I do?
Samantha Kay Try your finger tip! I’ve found that does the trick when it’s splotchy. Also make sure you’re fully curing the top coat! Hopefully that helps!

No, are different formulas and what it's does it's that the under polish won't dry . Don't waste your time trying it, I did

Works for me sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't stick. Try it.

I personally can only get my holo powders to work on the cured color. If I try to use a no wipe top coat, it just falls off the nail no matter how light or hard I buff it in. ;-; I wish I knew why! Everyone else has such success with it in the top coat. Although, even putting mine on the layer of color polish it still has a lovely rainbow effect! So attest there's that.
Hmm. That's very interesting. I'm curious as to why that happens. I might mess around with some of my No Wipe Top Coats to see if that happens to me. Glad you found a way to make it work tho!
JauntyJuli it literally goes against everything I've learned, I have no idea why. Maybe it's my top coat?? Maybe I've over cured it.... I'm not sure why. :/ Possibly a messed up formula? I'll definitely be trying a different top coat. Maybe it's the powder? Because my mirror chrome powder works perfectly into my top coat! Unlike the holo.

My directions from TwinkledT says to use a no-wipe topcoat, then do not wipe away the sticky layer. I'm incredibly confused.
With a no wipe top coat, you don't have to wipe it off after curing. You could, but it's not necessary, so I guess that's why they say that you shouldn't wipe after.
