When I first got this I was sad having many problems. The stamper would not pick up the image completely and sometimes not at all. I used everything the way it says I should like in the video. Even when using the stamping polish. But I believe I have found my problem and now have no problems working this! I was in a big open room, no fan on. But the fact it’s an open room with drafting from the connecting rooms passing by and with the sun was coming in, the air was very cold was also a problem. Just as I was gonna send it back cuz I got soo many things I tried one more time. This time in a closed room no draft and room temperature not cold or hot, closing the blinds! And just like that problem solved! It’s amazing and looks fantastic! Easy to use haha now that I do it in a closed room that’s at room temperature and no sun light hitting in. I’d recommend this to anyone with the same problem I had.
Oh that's good to hear! Working in a room that's too hot or cold or in a direct draft of air can speed up the polish drying process, which can be a reason you are having trouble picking up and transferring stamps on to your nail 😅
Very informative! All aspects of stamping seemed to be talked about! 😊 anyone should take the knowledge from this video and be able to create beautiful nail art. I enjoy my lint roller but the scotch tape seems to be more efficient in some aspects. Thank you for this video.

I'm so glad I took the time to read the Starter Kit Stamping Guide & scan the QR code. I know nothing about stamping. I just saw an ad with cats, art & nails for $5 in the middle of the night & ordered. 😅 I'm so glad this is actually a legit company!!! Omg! Just got my kit and followed along with your video and my designs turned out beautifully! Thank you! Super easy to do. I just need to use a different cotton pad because the balls have too much lint.
I actually came to UA-cam to try to solve the problem that no matter what I did, I couldn't get the stamper to pick up the image. After watching several videos, I figured out two issues I was having (and therefore other people might have): 1) When scraping off the excess polish, I was initially scraping it so the extra polish ended up on TOP of the card (like a snow plow). It took watching the videos to see that it should have been kept under the card. This was much better at leaving the right amount of polish in the design. 2) When it didn't work the first time, I kept trying to stamp with increasing pressure. Someone offhand mentioned that you need to use light pressure with the stamper on the plate to get the image to transfer. Seemed a bit counterintuitive, but that was absolutely true in my experience.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We recommend to apply more polish than you think you need (covering the entire design) and scrape lightly. Removing too much polish too forcefully can affect your pick up. Then roll the stamper lightly over the design. When there are issues with stamping, we recommend going lighter rather than harder which most people tend to do when they are having issues. 🥰😉

12/17/2023 Good morning my first time here. I want to start doing my nails. To be clear I do not get my nails did on a regular basis. My wedding, if I had the $ felt like I wanted to get them done I would. So I know I will not be doing nails to make $, my nails all the time. I cannot tell how many videos I've watched on nails. I know this is coming 11 months after you commented, but I found a bottle at Dollar Tree in the section with beauty/health items and makeup that you can fill with acetone and pump with a press! I'd originally grabbed it to fill with isopropyl alcohol for cleaning up resin work and have to grab another next time I'm there 💕

I noticed u are not using the small silver polish that comes in the kit. I received the starter kit and 3 diff people have tried to get it to work and it does not work. I have used the polish included to paint a design as well as others and none will transfer. I came here to get advice. I haven't solved the issue. That sucks. 😕

Great question. For video purposes I wanted the audience to see the stamping clearly and it gives a wider view, so the monocle is my go to when I really want to showcase the stamping. You can find this product on our site at: maniology.com/products/the-monocle-stamper-xl-round-clear-stamping-tool-stamper-collection. As for the Ice Cube stamper, I have had no issues with out of the box use, however I can give you a few tips for the Ice Cube stamper specifically: 1. Make sure there is no oil on the surface. If so, please wash with mild soap and water and pat to dry. Another way to do this is to let your stamper sit on white paper for a little so the excess oil can come out of the product. The oil is a natural part of the production process. After doing this, I usually can go right into stamping. 2. I've noticed the Ice Cube kinda likes a rolling motion for a clean pick up. Although, I have done both the rolling and up and down with ease of pick up. Let us know if you need any more tips. I hope this helps.

Hi , thank you for your interest! The polish streaks left on the plate don't get picked up on the stamper since the polish is spread so thin. Only the engraved areas will get picked up. Check out one of our live swatching of our polishes where no editing was done: ua-cam.com/video/m7MmjHziVS0/v-deo.html. You can see many steaks at the 1:30 mark, but the stamper doesn't pick it up. There are also streaks galore at the 1:54 mark but that also did not get picked up by the stamper. We recommend scraping lightly just once or twice as sometimes trying to remove all the "streaks" is counterproductive as it removes too much polish for a clean and crisp pickup. I hope this helps!
We're sorry to hear this Cecelia. There is a difference between regular polish and stamping polish. It's not to say that you couldn't use select regular polishes on stamping plates, but stamping polish is made specifically for stamping. Oftentimes, it just takes a slight tweak in technique before everything falls into place!
No matter what i do the polish wont go onto the stamp 😅 the blue film is off the stamp is clean with the dish soap. Its like the polish dries so quickly on the plate but not when i normally paint my nails
Hi! Sorry to hear that you are having issues getting started with stamping! One of the most common problems we see with the stamper not picking up polish is pressing too hard/too long on the stamper or over scraping. If you feel like you are pressing down like using a rubber stamp, you are using way too much force! On a scale of 1-10, the pressure should be a 1, just barely touching the plate with a quick rolling motion. Here's a live video showing how stamping pressure affects the outcome of your stamp: ua-cam.com/video/d88NVRcISxY/v-deo.html Scrape the polish away from the plate just once or twice gently. If you are scraping repeatedly or too forcefully, you will remove too much polish for a proper pickup. Be sure you are cleaning the plate in between use with 100% acetone only as using other types of removers will leave a residue on your plate affecting your pick up. OMG! the effect is sucks if you use normal nail gel polish. I've been searching why and how can do stamping cause my stamping tech already like yours but why the color not vibrant like that. i didn't know that it matters. thank you so much.
The Ice Cube Stamper is an ideal choice for beginners with its stable rectangular shape, crystal clear stamping head for easy visibility, and a versatile size suitable for various nail lengths. 🥰
We recommend cleaning the stamper before use with some dish soap and water and air dry on a paper towel. You can clean between uses with just some tape, a lint roller, or our Sticky Stamper Station. Cleaning with acetone will wear out the clear material much faster! It's also unnecessary to clean the stamper with acetone. Thank you!

Hi Michelle, of course! You can definitely use any top coat. It is recommended to seal it with Smudge-Free Top coat before the gel top coat. 😊

Bought two stamping plates but it doesn't seem to work with regular polish. Kinda feel like I was jipped.
We're sorry to hear this Cecelia. There is a difference between regular polish and stamping polish. It's not to say that you couldn't use select regular polishes on stamping plates, but stamping polish is made specifically for stamping. Aww I could tell where you’re from by your accent before you said Hawaii! ❤️ I’ve kept an eye out on your products since the Bundle Monster days but still haven’t gotten around to purchasing yet...fell out with nail polish for a while because I couldn’t wear what I wanted at work. Now I’m slowly rebuilding my collection, thinking of finally getting a stamping plate, and omg how am I finding out only now that you’re from Oahu 😲 now I’ll have more reason to buy, love supporting local...even though I’m currently living away from home! 🤣

How do you buff your plate to remove the acetone residue? I know it doesn't affect the stamping but I want my plates to look pretty
You can clean your plates with rubbing alcohol and it will clean up your acetone smears 😀
I like to rub it with a dry cloth or papertowel
I have tried and watched you and my design. Still no luck is it natural for the stamper feel stickey.

No matter what i do the polish wont go onto the stamp 😅 the blue film is off the stamp is clean with the dish soap. Its like the polish dries so quickly on the plate but not when i normally paint my nails
Hi! Sorry to hear that you are having issues getting started with stamping! One of the most common problems we see with the stamper not picking up polish is pressing too hard/too long on the stamper or over scraping. If you feel like you are pressing down like using a rubber stamp, you are using way too much force! On a scale of 1-10, the pressure should be a 1, just barely touching the plate with a quick rolling motion. Scrape the polish away from the plate just once or twice gently. If you are scraping repeatedly or too forcefully, you will remove too much polish for a proper pickup. Be sure you are cleaning the plate in between use with 100% acetone only as using other types of removers will leave a residue on your plate affecting your pick up. OMG! the effect is sucks if you use normal nail gel polish. I've been searching why and how can do stamping cause my stamping tech already like yours but why the color not vibrant like that. i didn't know that it matters. thank you so much.

What is the sticky thing you use to clean stamp before you put it on
We recommend cleaning the stamper before use with some dish soap and water and air dry on a paper towel. You can clean between uses with just some tape, a lint roller, or our Sticky Stamper Station. Cleaning with acetone will wear out the clear material much faster! It's also unnecessary to clean the stamper with acetone. Thank you!
