If you don't like the band anymore WHY waste your time commenting here? The fact they're still together after 46 YEARS with the core group they STILL have is nothing short of AMAZING and I NEVER miss the chance to see them. You can SEE the fun they STIL have and as a musician who's been in the same band for 27 years--I love and respect these guys to no end!
Bands evolve and change over the years. And it's been over 45 years for Chicago. PC's voice is not what it used to be. The songs he sang would have to be re-keyed if he was still there. And 25 or 6 to 4 in the key of Fminor just wouldn't cut it. Since the original 6 started off in 1967, there have been numerous musicians that have come an gone over the years. PC is one of them. To have 4 of the original 6 left is nothing short of amazing. The band is very strong right now and sounding great.
I just saw them with Earth Wind and Fire at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore last week. This guitarist/singer now has longer BLONDE hair. He did an awesome job, and the band is just INCREDIBLE to see LIVE. They did this song, and my brother and I didn't know what song it was, but thought the performance of this song was AWESOME...The whole concert was AWESOME. Incredibly talented musicians. ...Then and EWF together was by far the best concert I have been to!
Heard them perform this in KC a couple of years ago with Jason doing the lead. It brought the house down. For those still waiting for the groups from our youth to sound like they did on record, let it go. Not even Steely Dan can do it.
The sax player is Ray Hermann, He also played with Chicago during the Europe 2011 Tour! Walt doesn't like to travel that much anymore due to health reasons!
He did most of the talking (besides playing the trombonbe) on stage during their Europe Tour 2011. I was so happy I finally SAW him again in Paris 2011. The last time I saw him was in 1999 in Amsterdam and before that it was 1969!
Nice video of the song! I was expecting the usual blurry and shaky footage shot from the last row. Through this performance, Chicago is sustaining the memory of former drummer Danny Seraphine, who co-wrote "Street Player," and former singer-bassist Peter Cetera, who originally sang it.
They may have let Danny go, but I see they are still playing his songs. Would have loved to see him play that track with them, but I guess it is "Hard to Say I'm..."
Sounds familair! They 'did' the same in Paris, 2011. At least I don't think they do it at purpose! No way! But I guess they play this song ONLY for the fans, they don't like to play it, that's for sure...and mind you I'm a HUGE CHI fan since 1968!
In all Jason has done a good job with Chicago. I do still cringe when he sings the Cetera Days songs like this one but his body of work in the band helped extend the group's longevity. The fact that Chicago the entity chooses to be it's own coverband and butcher its own songs is there choice of course. The fact that their having fun should only be as important as the extent it aids the audience's enjoyment or they should just perform in their garage.
No not working at McDonalds...I am retired...and did so 14 years ago when I hit 50yo...did so by investing in real estate, own several apartment complexes and 3 shopping centers...but I appreciate your concern. Hope you have as prosperous a life as I
IN THE FIRST SECOND I CAME IN TO THIS VIDEO , I THOUGHT WAS A COVER BAND, BUT NO WAS THE REAL CHICAGO..SAD BUT I HAVE TO ACCEPT THE REALITY , WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS IN THE WORLD ..
By the way his name is Jason Scheff not Jeff. And according to Peter he has no interest of returning to Chicago. It is a part of his past. Also fyi Jason has been in the band longer that Peter was. #justsaying
Jason has a great voice & carries the band well. A shame that some can't let go of Peter Cetera who has not been able to sing like that for many years now...
PLEASE get rid of this CLOWN Jeff or who ever he is he just doesn't cut it and is TERRIBLE. Ok Pete is not coming back but I can't stand to listen to this anymore.
Cetera can't sing like that anymore, Jason Sheff does, you are holding on to a memory of long ago that is no longer a reality today. You comment was horrible, Wow !

I grew up listening to Chicago I love Chicago ❤
I don’t like today’s music 👎
LET'S GO!

Give “Leonid & Friends” a call.
Leonid and Friends sound better than Chicago. Their producer is fantastic..........check it out on You Tube
Well . . . here they are ua-cam.com/video/ZiNw4SKqaX4/v-deo.html
OMG
They are rocking with at least twice the crew.
Gee that's funny because Putin never asked for Chicago. @@Max-Mustermann46
Just love this song and video. Great job singing Jason.
Love the fact they gave props to Kenny Dope at the beginning of the song. 0:14
I like he pays homage to The Bucketheads that sampled them at the beginning.

fabulous version by my great ,great friend Jason and the always big band Chicago.
Love me some Chicago! But this song can not be reproduced without Peter C & Maynard F.
Hope they go back out after the Corona is gone...
Nice video of the song! I was expecting the usual blurry and shaky footage shot from the last row.

Outstanding musicians
La mejor banda de todos los tiempos
They may have let Danny go, but I see they are still playing his songs. Would have loved to see him play that track with them, but I guess it is "Hard to Say I'm..."
Danny occasional sits in with Leonid and Friends. Please check them out on You Tube. Amazing musicians.

BEAUTIFUL I LOVE YOU CHICAGO !
Great performance!🤗♥️👍🤘
Peter is legend...jason has his own style of singing and still good performance tho..he overshadowed by the legend..thats all...
Killed it!!👍👍
That 0:37 guy is having a good damn time

Jason Scheff
Funny ... Pankow's speaking voice at the end, sounds low and chill like Terry Kath's voice used to !! :-)
No not working at McDonalds...I am retired...and did so 14 years ago when I hit 50yo...did so by investing in real estate, own several apartment complexes and 3 shopping centers...but I appreciate your concern.
Hope you have as prosperous a life as I
Awesome song
Excellent
IN THE FIRST SECOND I CAME IN TO THIS VIDEO , I THOUGHT WAS A COVER BAND, BUT NO WAS THE REAL CHICAGO..SAD BUT I HAVE TO ACCEPT THE REALITY , WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS IN THE WORLD ..
They should work part of “Calle Ocho” by Pitbull into this too
Miss keith
Me too
He was perfect for Chicago
Leonid & Friends anyone?
Still sounds great.
I miss Walter and Jason
By the way his name is Jason Scheff not Jeff. And according to Peter he has no interest of returning to Chicago. It is a part of his past. Also fyi Jason has been in the band longer that Peter was. #justsaying
Paging Peter Cetera, Peter Cetera please report to the microphone.
If you're expecting him to sing it like he did in '79, you're gonna be disappointed. He does the nightclubs and rubber chicken dinner circuit now.
Robert G., that was fucking hilarious! Agree, Jason can sound awful imitating Peter Cetera. He's only good for their stuff from 18 onward.
Pobre Jason
this is really good
Great voice
great song for a tap dance
That’s too hard to do live, especially the chord change at the end, but they pulled it off
Peter Cetera originally sung this one? It's hard to find facts about this via wiki. Thx.
Thanks for the explanation.
its music was made by Alok no?
Jason is an awesome singer, but it seems hard to sing Peter's songs with a different range.
Jason has a great voice & carries the band well. A shame that some can't let go of Peter Cetera who has not been able to sing like that for many years now...
Super!!!!
Jason looks like he's in agony 👽 trying to sing this song .
PLEASE get rid of this CLOWN Jeff or who ever he is he just doesn't cut it and is TERRIBLE. Ok Pete is not coming back but I can't stand to listen to this anymore.
Pardon, if this question was already answered.. but who is playing sax?? Where's Walter?? :-o
Chicago is my favorite band in the world, with that said, do not perform this song without Cetera.
Cetera retired for good in 2019. He said he's not singing anywhere , even in Idaho where he lives. He's done.
PETER CETERA, PLEASE COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahahaha NO NEED
Have you heard Cetera sing that song in recent years? He can't anymore...
great performance! !!!!!!!!!!
Leonid & Friends is 1000 times better than the „original“ band.
Omg!! They all look like they woke up from bed!!
Not close to Cetera
jason give it up your voice is shot..
Dave, give up posting. Your brain is fried.
The real Bomb
I noticed that Walter wasnt there. I wonder if he was not feeling well or what?
Maybe he just didn't want to participate in making this noise.
Immenso
who is the saxophones?? i know its not walt parazaider.
Ray Herrmann. Check out RayHerrmann dot com.
Oh yes
Don't understand what you mean here. Who is a cover band?
this singer looks like the singer from freez - Iou song
Samples Bucketheads alias dance producer Kenny DOPE Gonzales from New York in song THE BOMB ! In juni 1995 number 49 US HOT 100.
No.1...nocoment.
Jimmy Pankow: 65 and still cooler than the other side of the pillow!!!
You must enjoy watching gyrating old men.
Chicago
Painful to watch and hear...
Weh!!!
LUIS TE LLAMA TU MAMA!!!
ok Fred
I HATE Scheff's whiny voice on this one. Mi-e-i-e-ine! Just freaking vomit-inducing.
without Peter Cetera Chicago sucks
Too many vocal acrobatics. He sounds like he should be in a lounge act in hotel.
Sorry but this singer bites.
Man,this is awful...
This is about the only Cetera song this guy even comes close to acceptable!
wtffff! !!!
Not much without Billy Champlin and DaWayne Bailey
Prefiero la versión de Peter
bad very bad jasons voice is worse
It's kinda annoying that he always repeats the same line.
For the love of God, that was dreadful. Could have achieved the same sound strangling a cat.
The lead singer sucks, makes you appreciate Peter Cetera more.
BRING BACK PETER CETERA FOR PETE' SAKE -- AND FOR CHICAGO'S SAKE, -- GET RID OF JEFF. HE'S BUTCHERED TOO MANY SONGS OF OLD CHICAGO.
Funny how the band that "FIRED" Danny Seraphine is now trying to cash in on his "BOOK"!!!! Chifago sucks!!!!!
Cetera can't sing like that anymore, Jason Sheff does, you are holding on to a memory of long ago that is no longer a reality today. You comment was horrible, Wow !
Chicago died following the demise of kath, Serraphine, and Cetera...today, nothing more than a glorified lounge band
Its PAINFUL to watch this. CRINGEWORTHY!
