Funny how he mentions how the Punisher would look today (beard and hoodie) and almost perfectly describes how Punisher looks in his recent Netflix series.

Remimds me of the Hawaiian Vacations story arc in War Journal. Jim Lee's work in War Journal got me hooked on the Punisher.
At the beginning of his drawing I kind of thought Frank looked a little too young, it was really amazing to watch the character age with just a few lines and hints of shadow.

Jim Lee is one of the reasons I wanted to be a comic artist next to McFarlane I drew alot of x men batman and spawn when I was a young kid in the 90s

Sigh ... conversation cuts and sentences have no resolution ... Headband Travolta was Staying Alive. Great Drawing. Justice League was just fun.

David Keirle he couldn't draw a different face? Have you seen him draw anything? Carnage, hell, the joker? That's just off the top of my head. None of the characters have the seem face or structure.

it's hard to say anything negative about this guy and I love his artwork, but if there's one fair criticism it's this. his Superman, Batman, Punisher, Etc could all be one interchangeable square-jawed handsome guy. they all have the jutting dimpled chin and same eyebrows and perfect plastic surgeon's nose. the only time they're notably different is when it's someone with really exaggerated weird facial structure like Joker. it wouldn't hurt to give Punisher an ugly nose that looks like it's been broken five times, or a slightly rounder face on a woman, or some more hints of ethnicity.
Huge Jim lee fan but I’m not a fan of his Punisher, he looks so 90’s. With the tiny bandana, squared jaw, low swooping hair cut...all he’s missing is a tooth pick in his mouth. Matter of fact it looks like the guy who played The Punisher in the first movie 2004(Thomas Jane). Execution wise Jim Lee is flawless, design wise I think it’s really dated.

Well he is going for the 90s Punisher design for this sketch. I'm pretty sure he can draw a different looking Punisher, but he, or someone else chose this design for the stream.
The first Punisher movie starred Dolph Lundgren and Lou Gosset Jr.
90's comic art style blows the modern garbage out of the water, the penciling is better, the inking is better, and the coloring is better. Except for a few exceptions modern comic art is pure trash.
