Back in the late 80's and early 90's when I attended art school, I would just sit there for hours trying to copy Jim Lee's work. He was like a myth and legend. Now more then 25 years later we get to see the master at work creating works of artistic wonder. Gotta love youtube.

Sweet! I started watching this on Twitch but didn't get a chance to finish. Jim Lee has been one of my biggest influences over the years, watching him draw has taught me a lot and helped me with my own art recently.

@Batman good point. I'll just add in also, focusing on learning how to block in a picture by lightly drawing large simple shapes first, and then drawing small dark details on top of that, that is really the main thing to focus on and learn. It's kind of tricky at first, but if you just stay patient and keep practicing you will learn how to do it. Just keep having fun with it, because that's what keeps you going and not giving up on it.

I know it's old but to anybody who needs to hear it: use this video to learn, study it, study artists you admire, keep practicing, read books about subjects u wanna get better at, draw everyday. trust me if u really want it you'll get there! u gotta believe in yourself as corny as it sounds, put in the work and enjoy the process
Jim is such a badass. The tissue/ink thing is a no go. There are other options that give a much cleaner look. Be fun to see him change it up.

How do your micron pens drop so much ink? I have the same one that is new and it doesn't seem to put out as much as yours. What's the deal?
Underrated channel. But i have a question, how did you start making income off of your art work? And how did you get into a job like this? I always have a passion and urges to draw to improve further and further, but the thought of doing this as a career would make me more than happy if i can live and make money off of my passion. Please i really do want to become a professional artist.

That's awesome! I would love to see you draw me like "Dororo" With implants in bone feet running, while running and hitting a tennis ball on fire with a shrimp riding on the ball? I have picture of me running on the court. I had surgery on both feet and no longer can play any more.

It hasn't been finalized yet. Jim is going to work on it some more and then when it goes up for auction we'll likely get a nice sized scan of the final image.
