I have a 2005 SRX. V8. Had a mechanic I trusted and did decent work at a decent price because I'm disabled. Took it to him with an oil leak. He changed rear main seal. Leak cured. But when he put the trans back in it whined. Drove it for a while whining until trans died. He put another trans in (used) and THIS one whines. He gave up on me so I've spent 2300 on parts and rental cars while he had it and I have a car that has no oil leak but a transmission that whines and I'm sure will be a problem again eventually. It goes right into gear when shifted and they change smoothly when driving. Not all wheel drive. Rear wheel. Just wondered what your thoughts were. I'm VERY glad to know about the fuses tho!!
This car takes a specific transmission fluid type. Make sure that the correct type of transmission fluid was placed back into the car. Sometimes mechanics will buy cheap transmission fluid.

2007 Cadillac Sts V8 4.6L 186,xxx miles Car worked an ran fine before incident: Hit pot hole an car shut completely off my engine wire harness had been smashthated an most wires were smashed to a point if being cut had car towed to an shop specializes in electrical problems for cars an they rewired all wires proper car starts up an after a few minutes idling the car shakes an check engine light blinks Had diagnostic scan done on the car an it says an 3 codes popped up "Code # P0304 Cylinder 4 misfire detected" "Code # P0204 Injector Circuit / Open cylinder 4" "Code# P0300 Random - Multiple Misfire Detected" Changed spark plug an fuel injector on Cylinder 4 an i still get the same codes. What could be possible problem ??? Maybe bad "PCM" ?? OR ?? Any help or input or opinion would be greatly appreciated.
More than likely PCM/ECM module. Its under the driver side in front of wheel well. Mine gave me 0306 i changed plugs, coils and injectors to eliminate my problem. Then found previous mechanic had bent pins in the module and ripped of the harness caps. SMH
could be an individual ignition coil. try pulling one ignition coil clip at a time and see if there's a difference in tht vibration. if you pull one and there's no change, replace that one.
i have a 2005 cadillac STS with navigation.. Problem ~~~~Navi and radio does not turn on and stop working.. i tried unplugging the battery and even let both + and - touched.. no luck.. i changed the battery and checked my fuse box under the seat and the hood.. still no luck.. the fuse looks fine... can someone help????
promking03 seemingly worse case scenario, your head unit has taken an extended vacation. See if you can get one at your local junkyard with the ability to return it....replace it, see if the replacement works. If it does, that's it. If not, at least you eliminated that possibility.

2009 STS and no matter what I do one or two of the 6 individual go out. Every 3-6 months

did you check all your fuses and relays? it's a possibility that when those wire were crushed it blew a fuse and/or damaged a relay.

what fuses did u change exactly?
In my case, the EVEN COILS fuse. But in any case, could be either one-the EVEN or ODD coil fuse. Hope this helps.

check ALL OF THE FUSES. crazy as it sounds, but sometimes it will be a fuse for something else that SOMEHOW ties into your radio.
