Comparison is the thief of joy. Doing ‘enough’ each day looks different for each of us because our situations, and our priorities, as you pointed out, are different. Thanks for the kind reminder today.
Amen,Sister.
Amen .. I have found being in my older age now .. I don’t always have the same energy i did when I was younger . I have had to learn to adjust to that . I too kept feeling inadequate, like I was letting my family down . But that is ridiculous.. that is what I have created in my own mind because of allowing outsider noise into my life .
I raised my kids to be self sufficient, I did my job , they don’t need me to fuss over them anymore and I needed to start allowing myself to to let that go and give time back to me . I’m enjoying it.
Doing enough, also having enough was my word for the year, felt so content lacked no good thing, stopped me buying endless things, Enough is a wonderful word ❤❤❤❤❤
I have been discouraged a lot lately. I am getting ready to turn 71 and I deal with constant back and neck pain. I know thar Jesus has already healed me but I seem to have a block in receiving the manifestation of my healing. I can't seem to get done what I use to do and when I work hard one day I end up in the bed the next day. Thank you for encouraging me. I know with Jesus all things are possible. God bless you and Carey.
🙏
So sorry to hear of you pain and discouragement 💕Even the apostle Paul suffered from “a thorn in his flesh, but said he could do all things through Christ Who strengthen him” Be at peace ❤
I never compare my circumstances with what everyone else is doing or how they are living or even what they say. I trust God will help me get through each day doing what needs doing and in the end it’s always how we are giving our lives to God’s will anyway if we expect to enter into His kingdom. I use most UA-cam vlogs as a distraction from the struggles I deal with daily with my back issues and now my husband’s health issues. Occasionally I learn something new but at 65 if I haven’t figured out my life then UA-cam isn’t going to help me anyway. I’m not the homemaker I was 20 years ago but after 3 back surgeries I’m still doing my own housework and gardening so there’s that. Mary…you’re doing just fine so let God guide your every move and he will bless you with your every need…clean house or no clean house!!!:):):)
The Father healed my back! He did it through me submitting my diet to him and my lifestyle. Keep leaning on his word and his holy Spirit will lead you out of the bondage of pain - it's a promise!❤🙌🙌🙌
I'm 71 and live with just my husband. Our kids are grown and all live a distance, so we don't see much of them. Since the "Big Shut Down," God put something new into my heart. He's been telling me to stop being a Martha and be a Mary. The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her. I think that's what He's trying to tell His children now. Things don't seem to be getting troubling, They are troubling. Psalms 91 instructs us to find refuge and rest in Him during turbulent times. Maybe this is the time to stop paying attention to the worlds priorities and focus more on God wisdom. The enemy just loves to distract, deceive ,and destroy. "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Resting in the Lord daily will renew your strength and everything else will seem trivial.
I am 62 and I get discouraged when I dont get more done, which is every day. I've been trying to just be glad I make homemade bread and rolls, cook scratch meals from our Garden and pantry and have a clean kitchen and bathroom. The windows will get washed eventually. If my husband needs me to help him or just sit on the porch and have a cup of tea with him, that's important too! You are such a blessing, Mary! God bless you and Casey.
The world is in such a hurry. It is good to stop and smell the roses. Life goes by too fast. God bless you and all you do.
OK, you’re absolutely right and sourdough is the bomb. And I’m 69 and I stay at home and I cannot get it all done between the house to cook the cleaning the gardening, the chickens and the ducks and the dogs and let’s not forget my husband. Lol.
I am so glad I'm at that age where people's negative comments don't bother me anymore. They just roll off like water on a ducks back. Just do and be you, and don't worry about the small stuff.
When I retired I thought my house would be spotless and I would be busy all day getting it perfect. Oddly enough I found that my house was cleaner when I worked because I had only a little time to get it done and I didn’t get to do any of my hobbies that I enjoyed. Now I accept that everything will not get done in one day and that I have new things to enjoy like sourdough baking (which I have never done before), time making cards for people on the prayer line, time in prayer, and you are right, what ever doesn’t get finished tomorrow will be there the next day. Thank you for this video.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your family and your home is to take care of yourself and work at your own pace. 💙
This was a great video! I so agree with you. Im 75 and am tired of beating myself up for not getting more done! Thank you! xx
Our new motto:
DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT!!!
Your welcome!😁
Me tooooooo 😊😊😊
Mary, Jesus shines through you so much. That is the way we are suppose to live. In peace. We need to slow down and have time with Jesus. To listen. Thank you!!!
Yes it is wonderful to see Jesus in others come thru. Its in her voice and in her face.....her home is full of goodness!! That is my desire.
I grew up with a 50s Mom who cleaned, cooked, shopped, etc. etc. all day long. She was treated awful by my Dad who did nothing except an 8 hour a day job. He expected to be waited on for everything else. He was not much of a parent either. So, I live my life different. Not important to get it all done.
I so agree with you! Some Moms are single Moms and are on a fixed income and need to work and just survive! We shouldn’t judge…….the American culture is push, push, push, accomplish…….we are beloved children of God……..”be still and know that I am God”
This was truly so soothing to my soul. I didnt want to end. Thank you for making this. I have alot of pressure to "get it all done" and im sucking at being a good homemaker. Pls pray for me :) thank you again.
First mistake, you never ever compare yourself to another person! It will cause you too many problems! secondly you don't know how much help she is getting from her kids. Every one has their own journey, Their good and bad days. I thank God, I wake up every morning and start my day.
The older I get I realize I can’t accomplish what I did a few years back… you’re very encouraging… just do what you can and give yourself grace!! ❤. There’s always a tomorrow and if there’s not… it won’t matter anyway!!!😊
Hi there, you are so right! I am getting into sourdough now and enjoying it so much! I am 76 now and have some health issues so just cannot do everything or keep up all the time. It is impossible but try to enjoy what I can do. I have my tomato plants in big pots and some herbs and flowers and I’m very thankful for it. I take time to enjoy my cross stitch and knitting and reading and our back porch! Praise God. In heaven I will do it all. Maybe there won’t be cleaning there. Ha. Thank you. 😊❤
I am 61 and my husband and I live on a 13-acre farm. We raise cows, have chickens, 2 kids and a dog. I rarely just kick back and watch t.v. unless I am sick. After watching a few "young mothers" who have 4 , 6 or even more children, but they are quite a bit younger than I am. We all have to do what we can do and the ultimate goal, is to walk in the love and peace of God. You are such a blessing to me, I appreciate your channel so much..Thank you for your honesty and transparency...God bless you dear lady. And thank you for this yummy recipe...Sherri-Payette Idaho
I’m a 73 year old woman who agrees with you 100%!
Every day i make a list of things that i would like to get done that day. Sometimes some of those things get carried over for several days. I do what i can each day.
Kitchen, bathroom, counters, cupboards, dishes, outside in the garden for several hours. I’ve just had appendicitis surgery 3 weeks ago and I’m not getting vacuuming done yet. I have a social life and read my bible and spend time with the Lord. I answer to know one but the Lord. Just started a new sour dough starter. I’m happy and let the Lord lead.
I’ve been watching videos and tried having the get it all done mentality! Only having really bad anxiety! NOW, if it doesn’t get done today there is always tomorrow! Glad I found your channel!!
My house is not spotless but it is clean because it is a lived in house not a museum.
I love you! Your tender heart, sense of peace, and joy of being a homemaker inspires me. I agree with you that we don’t have to get it all done in one day. I just enjoy the process of accustomed things every day. Mostly that means cooking real food, gardening, and walking every day.
Make a priority list. It's encouraging to mark things off whenever a job gets done.
Funny, I have been feeling the same. I never feel caught up. Im distracted by thoughts of not doing anything I enjoy and having to work every single day after retiring in 2015. One of those things I enjoy is painting furniture. I keep putting myself last. Despite being behind, I spent all day today painting furniture projects that have also been piling up. I enjoyed every minute listening to the birds and taking in fresh air on a gorgeous day. I’m doing it again tomorrow it felt so good. God gave us gifts to use, not lose. I was able to finish painting a wicker table, prep a plant stool and paint a music cabinet. I know I’ll feel more “enthused” about doing my house chores after feeding my soul by doing something for me. I hope this helps someone. 💕
Great word! We all need to hear this from time to time.
Thank you for the ass I always feel like I can’t get everything done. I’ve been at home for about five years I homeschool my 14-year-old son and my mother-in-law with dementia lives with us so after working since I was 16 years old, it’s been a big change and what a blessing it’s been. I’ve gone from dresses and make up to shorts T-shirt and a lipgloss.🙏🏻
Thank you Mary! As always you are so inspiring and you are the best!
I only clean the house once a week. I still make the bed and have daily chores such as dishes that can be twice, three times daily or more, but actual cleaning, that gets done once a week. Right now, I have a priority to go outside and do some gardening, work in my pantry...I'm reorganizing, and do a little sewing each day...I'm prepping a lot of scraps to make a quilt. This seems to keep me focused on achieving my goals. A little at a time goes a long way and I can enjoy doing these things so that it will make my life easier in the long run. I'm hoping that by harvest time, the pantry will be reorganized for the most part. Also by winter, all the scraps will be cut and organized and I can just sit and do some sewing. I will still probably have a fall garden too, but by making myself pull weeds this year, my garden is looking better.
This video is like a new ministry of mine. Perfection is fleeting. All musicians know this. And thr comments are all so sweet! Recently I figured out to only focus on the one thing inu house that is bothering me the most. And once that's tackled, stand back and do the next thing that's now bothering me the most.
Thank you for this video❤ I am 62 and was forced into early retirement due to health. I have had ongoing health issues for years but they seemed to have ramped up so everything takes me longer which drives me crazy (im hard on myself cuz i cant do like i used to). Our finances aren't great due to the thousands we've spent on me for medical. Worries me at this stage in our life😔 however I am committed to thanking God for everyday He gives me and the blessing He gives me to get up everyday and get done what I can and to trust Him that He will provide. I just want to make memories with family and friends here at our little urban homestead. Thank you again for your encouraging videos❤❤
@TnT I am in the same boat. Similar circumstances. I am grateful to still be alive at this point. Wanted to work until 70 but body gave out.
I just live your videos. Please don’t feel inadequate. You are NOT. Can’t even imagine doing what you do every day. Please keep going the way you are going. You’re the reason I’m making successful sourdough bread. Thank you and God bless.
Oh PS. Love love your kitchen table 😍
Some days I am all that and a bag of biscuits. Other days, it’s all I can do to get a shower in. 😅 I try not to beat myself up about it. I try to be as kind to myself as I am to others. It’s a work in process.
You are so right....going outside and enjoy the fresh air....house work can wait
I don't do a lot every day, I have health problems and I don't worry about it anymore. You do a great job 😊❤❤❤
What a wonderful and positive video! Thank you for this message, Mary
I so agree. Those young moms are younger than me too. I used to move faster and accomplish more when I was younger too. I love your perspective and godly presence here on YT. Blessings! Val C ❤️🙏🏻
I want to live in a lived in home....I do not want people to come over and feel uncomfortable because everything is in its place and spotless....I raised 6 boys and homeschooled and enjoyed doing things with my family. I am now 70 and cannot do what I used to do but we do now live in a smaller home which helps....we still garden and have chickens. I love to be outside as well and try to everyday. I have always been a stay at home mom and we went without many things but we had everything we needed. I so enjoy your videos. I am with you girlfriend! Thanks for your encouragements!
I too have been thinking about this lately. I can’t get everything done in one day anymore but I’m thankful that my worth as a homemaker and person isn’t dependent on what others call productive. I have a little cleaning podcast and I might do a segment on this ❤️
Yes I hear you …so right …stop and smell the Roses!!!
I sure needed someone to say out loud how I feel this year. Thanks Mary
I agree 💯. Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing your heart ❤ when I wake up I stay in bed and pray. It always helps me to have eyes on what The Lord wants me to do. Blessings
Mary, thank you so much for talking about this. My home could be much tidier, but I, too, love working in the garden and yard. All winter, I can clean and clean, but spring and summer are for breathing in the outdoors. Thank you, thank you. Blessings. ❤❤❤
I am so happy you brought this up. That is how I feel so often. From Ontario Canada
Amen………thank you..!……..
Yes, when The Lord is the Source of my strength and purpose each day I too am at peace at the end of the day. God created us in the body all different. I am grateful for your serene, humble approach to life . Thank you for your kind encouragement and instructions towards home making, cooking and gardening ❤️✝️🙏🏼
I feel the same as you do. We just have to keep doing what we can, do the best we can, and stop comparing ourselves with others. I'm 77. I don't feel like doing the same things now that I did in my 40s. I needed your video today. Thanks!
Mary, how did you know I needed to hear this today? I have had days where I’ve had WAY too much coffee and spun around like a top doing absolutely everything. I’ve recently realized those are the days when my hubby comes home to find me exhausted, sore and worst of all very, very grouchy and not nice to be around. I wonder if ppl who criticize “lazy” homemakers if there isnt just a bit of jealousy behind those negative comments! I am so thankful to be able to create a loving home and to be able to garden, cook, crochet and still get stuff done (some days more than others) and I am learning to not be too hard on myself on my less fruitful days. Thank you for your videos and by the way, your hoagie recipe I turned them into bun-shaped sandwhich rolls turned out amazing! My hubby said they were the best thing I ever baked…. No lie!! And truthfully they were! Have a lovely day my friend. Laura in Arizona
Enjoy this
Oh, that's great!
I stayed discouraged as a keeper of my own. I work a full time remote job, so I’m home while on the clock and I see everything I need to do for my own. I’m envious of women who are full time homemakers. I know that we all have different paths and that’s ok. I’m trying to just “be” a working mom and a keeper of my home. But I struggle to get it all done too.
I just loved the message in this video Mary. The music accompanying it was perfect too. Much love and blessings to you and Casey. 💖😘
Wonderful wisdom in this video, thank you Mary ❤️😁🌹
Carrot cake is my favorite too. This was a very nice video. I used to think I had to do it all too, and life has taught me things happen when they're meant to, which relieved me of a lot stress. The ol' saying, "dust is not mold" has carried me through many days when my house was a mess.
I came across your video for the first time tonight . I can identify with your words of encouragement. I am a 71 yr old mother of 5 married children children & 12 grandchildren. My hubby of 72 yrs has been my one & only for 48 yrs next month. I worked as a nurse prior to the arrival of our babies. I chose to be at home raising them until our 5th went to school. I then to worked part time however now I’m retired. I . have lately been discouraged that I can no longer work as hard as I used to. I tire out easier & earlier in the day. The outside work is getting harder to accomplish & we feel in order to stay in our home we will eventually need to hire lawn & landscape help.growing older is not for sissies . With God’s help we will keep on keeping on & thankful for His blessings. Your video was delightful . Thank you & I will keep watching .mLinda
Thank you for a great message in balance. Sometimes there is so much to do that I get overwhelmed. I like your idea to make a list of what is your priority for the day and let the rest keep. I also agree with you about being outside it's my happy place. Love your videos
Mary this video was just what I needed to hear. I am 69 and cannot achieve nearly as much as I would like. I do stress about it and you made me realise just to be kind to myself. After 27years working I retired in 2022 and am loving being to embrace my love of cooking. I hate housework but always keep my floors and bathroom done but dusting is a chore that isn’t done as often as it should be. I also love sewing knitting etc. I have made your sourdough discard bread and love it. Yesterday I made your chocolate banana loaf and my gosh is it lovely. I am keen to try your carrot cake. You are an inspiration and I pray that the Lord blesses you and Casey abundantly. I live in Australind Western Australia. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just remember, UA-camrs are editing their videos, and they don't video everyday.
Also, what's more important, cleaning or spending time with your people. In the end, God doesn't care about that, he cares about you and the person you are.
I grew up in a family of 10, and there was no one on one with each of us. Mom was just too busy. You are doing an awesome job.
Oh Mary you are wonderful. I love your channel. I wake up in the morning and Thank God that I'm able to be here in his Beautiful world, I do what I can each day and don't sweat the small stuff anymore, housework is never done, when the day is done I thank God for being with me as I did the best I could for today. Life goes way to fast so I have learnt to enjoy each day as much as I can. Your cake looks Delicious but then again all your food does. Thank you Mary
Mary, I look forward to “visiting” with you each time you share a glimpse of your and Casey’s homestead. I share your impression of some of the homesteading videos you described. I love the fact that not only are you creating amazing recipes to teach us newbies to breadmaking, but you also have your music ministry, which you didn’t add to your to-do list today. I learned in my career also, to work on my top 3 priorities each day. Blessings!
My wedding cake was carrot cake with cream cheese icing ,for 350 people!😊 yum 😋
Thank you for this video Mary. I'm just grateful every day that the Lord wakes me up❤
Comparison is truly a thief of joy. We have to do what WE can do. I personally suffer with fibromyalgia, chronic pain on a daily basis. I know my limits. I get what I can done. My husband’s fed, my house stays clean, we have clean clothes…and I’m thankful for all my many blessings. I think you’re doing an awesome job! ❤
I understand how you feel. It doesn't feel very good to do all that we can and still end up feeling like it's not enough. I often have to step back and assess how much I'm really able to do. It's gardening season now and I often need to prioritize planting things and other garden tasks because they must be done now. I end up feeling bad about letting laundry wait or cooking something quick, but I'm realizing that's just how it is during this season. Thanks for reminding us to be kind to ourselves.
Many of these videos are really not reality. I never compare myself to videos I watch. They are just snippets of a day in the life of people. Relax and give thanks for all you do,
I so needed to hear this today. Thank you. God Bless.
I will be 80 yrs. old next week. I DO NOT get done what I did 10 yrs. ago. I have gotten slower especially in the last 5 years. I don't compare myself to anyone else but I do tend to look back at all I used to get done and what a tiny bit I do now. I hate that everything takes me 3-4 times longer now. And I know I will only get slower. Old age is not something you get over, mores the pity. The best thing about it is it makes you long to go to your forever home. Sometimes I find myself just sitting. As my mother used to say "Just keep on living."
Have a blessed day.
I eliminated should from my life ages ago, and today i read be still and quiet before the Lord, we are all in different stages and seasons and having a spotless home is not everything i was so fooled into that, so if people want to write something in the dust on my cupboards go ahead😊😊😊
Have you ever heard of square foot gardening? I have adapted that to square foot cleaning/house keeping. One day I might dust mop one room. Another day, wipe the widow sills in the kitchen. The dishes are daily and the bathroom gets wiped down twice a week. I only do 2 loads laundry per week. I take a bit of time each day to go outside with a mop bucket, fill it with weeds and put it on the compost, yes my garden could use an entire crew but I've learned to accept its imperfection.
I'll have to check this out!
Wise words ❤ my husband and I have a 160+ acre farm with quite a bit of livestock. He recently became very sick and thank God's blessings, he's getting better everyday. So, I to have also learned that it's ok if I can't get everything done. And I'm also a "young" 😂 68 and my husband is 9 yrs my senior. And we are getting ready to start cutting our hay. God has blessed us as He has taught us so much. Love your videos and may God Bless each and everyone 🙏🏻💕
Your salad and cake both look Delicious, God Bless 🙌
I live alone now as I’ve mentioned to you , I don’t work any longer. What works for me I don’t plan tomorrow cause I never do the plan. If you came in my apt you’d see it’s very nice all is in its place however I don’t dust everyday I don’t scrub bathroom everyday I get up early have coffee and see where I go from there. I do like to get couple things done , I go sit on patio with the cat for a bit if I feel like crafting all day I will it’s my life it could end at anytime I’m not worried about how quick I get something done! I’ve seen those videos and to me there very fake to a point . That’s what I love about your videos it real it’s a day of things you do . I dont care if you have dishes not put away etc I could care less . You have NOreason to ever feel bad cause your not or can’t do what someone else does ladies your not them , don’t compare or get frustrated like you said it will be there tomorrow but will we ? Relax have fun!
Cricket
Keep doing what you're doing...You're an inspiration ❤
Yes! ❤
Amen!!
Thank you for this wonderful video. It was an encouragement to me. ~Sherry ♥
You are absolutely right...God bless you..your channel is new to me and i know i will love it..
Thank you Mary❤
Yes i am there constantly downing myself for not getting enough done. I do hold a full time job. But i feel i do not give my home enough love. I see these woman in their 30's and several children and all they get done. I AM HONESTLY SHOCKED BY IT! I would love to have their secret! God bless you Ms. Mary i wish i had you're forgiveness of myself as you have learned to do. I am trying
This was a really good topic...I've learned I can keep things tidy and done in small daily steps. I have a simple daily morning and evening routine that keeps my basics done. Whatever is on my list of projects gets done in order of priority. Here are little there a little done consistently makes a happy, tidy home that's good enough. You cake and salads looked delicious, thank you so much for the video.
For me here it starts with making sure we have healthy meals. I need my outside time daily. Between the garden and hanging laundry it just relaxes me. There is always some kind of bread making etc that needs to be done and what I call basic household cleaning. Also daily animal care.. it keeps me busy but it also gives me energy. I find on days when I have to leave the home and property I’m more physically tired..
Sorry if this is long, but this video is so encouraging to me because I deal with a lot of health issues that effect my energy as well as grieving the loss of both my parents and only sibling, my sister and best friend, within a year of each other. I struggle not having the energy being able to get as much done as I would like. I was married and had our first child when I was in my early 40's, and I just don't seem to have the energy I had in my 20's to keep the perfect house I always dreamed I would have. I am thankful we own the home I grew up in, we've started a garden this year, however with so many remnants of my parents belongings still here, it is hard to know what to let go of, and the overwhelm drains my energy too. I also struggle with the desire to have this beautiful clutter free kitchen with nothing on the counters, but I cook so much from scratch that it seems unrealistic to not have things out and easy to use instead of hidden in a closet or cupboard and have to get it out everyday. Do I want a clutter free kitchen or a functional, well-loved, well-used but still clean kitchen? A homestead kitchen is never going to be a pristine kitchen. Because you are absolutely right, even if we "get it all done" today, it starts right back up tomorrow and in a way feels like you are never done. So in this way I appreciate your priority mindset over the getting the list done mindset. Thanks for your steady approach to the everyday duties instead of trying to rush and exhaust yourself trying to get it all done in a day.
I'm so sorry you have had to face so many heartaches! I understand the lack of energy. We all have something that robs us of that, in my opinion. My kitchen never looks uncluttered, it's just too much work to keep bringing things in and out all the time. So, I just leave them out.
Once again I have learned from you….would have never thought to use my stick blender to whip up cream cheese frosting…. My hand mixer on speed 1 is super fast…..marvelous idea❤️
Mary... I'm a mother of one and we live in an apartment and this thing crossed my mind a lot. Especially because we don't have a garden yet and are on a very limited space. But boy arent our days full. Between cleaning, cooking, baking, dusting, while trying to tame a toddler 😁 I also hand wash all our clothes because we don't have washer and dryer here.
I'm not originally American. So my family lives in my home country, and hub's family isn't as involved with our kid so it gets very discouraging in days in which I really get to do nothing because I am exhausted. I can assure you those people with a spotless house and many kids, have external help (especially with kids) and they won't probably show it which makes the whole thing completely unattainable and discouraging. Some of them homestead only for the sake of content, they have lots of money and live a completely different life, etc. Your content seems to be one of the most genuine out here. I joke with hubby that you're my mentor because I used many of your recipes 😅 also your kitchen does give me a sense of home and safety and not the appearance of a TV set. Thank you for your humble and peaceful content. As a younger homemaker, a Christian mother and wife.. this is exactly who I want to be
Thank you so much!
We care for our 33 year old daughter who has down syndrome I’m gardening for the first time and we got the turkeys and chickens for the first time so yup somethings have to wait until the next day and at this point I’m ok with that 🙋♀️🤗
Love your accent and your Spirit!
Thank you for the reminder to really think about what we really need to be doing each day. I really like your dress, where did you get it?
I order these from a website called white elegance. They are pioneer dresses. I just alter them to fit me. I will tell you they are the most comfortable dress, ever!
This is exactly the reason why I simplified my housekeeping schedule to a "get done what you can" version. No more rigid schedule, no more feeling rushed. My babies are more important, and getting tangled up in the to-dos of homemaking just doesn't leave me with enough energy to tend to them patiently. I love your perspective on getting the basics done and not worrying about the rest.
I am 62 years old..Durning the growing season here in PA I work at a local farm/farm market 3 days a week..we have 4 dogs so my house is never spotless…I have several flower beads and a huge veggie garden that need tending to everyday…my kitchen is clean and ready to cook everyday.. like you said if you get it all done today it will just be back again tomorrow..so I’ll drop what I am doing to help with the grandkids, stop and pet the dogs, enjoying the beautiful outdoors…
I am so very pleased to have found your videos! You are very encouraging! I am 78 years old this year and find myself slowing down in my daily life with chores indoors and outdoors. Some days are very discouraging…..but I do like you sharing your wonderful views! Thank you for sharing with us! Wishing you a very blessed day!🥰💕🥰
Thank you, Mary! You are a blessing! 💕
Thank you so much for this video! It was so encouraging! I love when you said it's a blessing to know your limitations. I am just starting to learn this. I tend to overdo and then crash which I know is not healthy. I am trying to hear the Lord and let Him show me how to balance. Your video felt like a hug and the Lord saying it's okay. He made us, each one, with our own set of capabilities and paces. Thank you again!
Well I'm going to tell ya at 61 I can't physically do what I could 10 years ago. I have back and neck issues and that just simply slows me down. My lil cottage house is very clean and cozy but it is small I don't have a big house and yard to maintain. Honestly by myself I simply could not now. When I first get up every morning I have my quiet time with the LORD and that sets the tone for the rest of my day. You be YOU and the routine that works best for YOU and your family. Don't give a minutes thought to foolish negative comments.
I’ve accepted it takes me twice as long to do half as much and I’m ok with that
Blessing to you 😌
Thank you, Mary, You are a sweet blessing
Thank you for this!
I have been going through the same, and it frustrates me. Thank you for your encouragement. GBU.
I've been Spring cleaning since 2021, how long is it supposed to take? LOL 😆😛
When I'm finished, I'll let you know 😂
I love your kitchen table. My mother in law had a yellow one with a drawer on one end.
