You are not alone. I took retirement March 21, 2024. My husband has to two years ago due to 2nd heart attack. I was planning on working till age 66 but I felt the Lord said do it now. So I did. I miss my friends and stability of the hours but very slowly I have adjusted. Faith of a mustard seed. I don't miss an alarm clock either. Good luck and God blessings to come to you both.

The best part of ‘going through’ with God is that in each trial or test we encounter, our spiritual muscles get stronger (faith). I think it was R.A. Torrey that said ‘the easy road is the road less likely we will see Jesus on.’ I agree with that, and am so glad, you too have encountered this glorious truth! Thanks for sharing
Yay!! Enjoy your time together. My Dad passed away young and I always said I’m glad that he didn’t wait till he was old to enjoy life!! My husband works construction and his health is failing but I don’t think he is willing to really look at that and it makes me uncomfortable. I would really like to simplify our lives. Maybe your husband can show us how to build some of those cool pallet projects 😊Blessings

As a 73 year old, I don’t understand how one makes a living on what you’re doing. God’s plans are perfect; God bless you as you continue stepping out on faith.

Stepping out in faith when you feel the Lord’s prompting is not always easy. God bless your channel, I pray it explodes in the best possible way stay faithful! Mary, I remember a past video where you talked about feeling discontentment because you wanted to do more with your homestead and how you finally found contentment. I have seen in my life when we trust in God as you talked about in that video, God makes a way for our hearts desires which may not look like what we expected. My husband and I decided to retired in 2022 which was very scary. Our plans were to travel while we still could, however, in 2023 he took a bad fall and since then we have found out that he has some health problems we never knew about. I was disappointed at first that we could not travel but God showed me his plans are for our good and we are enjoying having time together each day. Thank you for allowing us to hear what was on your heart even if it was uncomfortable. You will continue to be in my prayers.

Mary we can never be absolutely sure of the path we should take, i have had times when i thought for sure the decision I made was what God had for me. Then something happens and i realize it in fact wasn't HIS plan. I didn't know it was a mistake until it was, then I fall at HIS feet so HE can pick me back up. HIS Grace is sufficient!!
Mary, I so appreciate your genuine heart. Walking by faith is not always easy, but just to know the Holy Spirit is leading you both & causing you to even more depend on Him moment by moment in His grace & love is noteworthy. As you trust the Lord, He will continue to provide for your needs personally & for the homestead. George Muller left his job in the 1800's & was burdened for the orphans. He pursued the Lord for direction & little by little was able to build homes for these needy children. In His presence is fulness of joy. ❤

Trust in His wisdom he will provide. Your spring clean video inspired me to get up and clean my kitchen windows and I ordered that steam cleaner. Floors are next. Congratulations!!! I struggle at times knowing if it's God or my will. One thing for me this year I have a HUGE desire to grow as much food as I can. Normally I grow some tomatoes and cucumbers...this year it's a lot more. Have not torn up my grass yet, but i have lots of grow bags
It's brave to take the road less traveled--my husband and myself worked for ourselves most of our adult lives as landscapers and musicians. I was in a similar situation 30 years ago, before YT, internet and cell phones. I got fired from my job & I thought " what in the world would I do ? " And just when you are so unsure about yourself an epiphany happens and shows you the way. As you go along in life you will find other changes to your plan and you must be open to accept those changes. I have developed my theory of "I'll jump off that bridge when I come to it" and have a very happy & successful life with my husband. You will be fine. Don't over analyze, just work hard and God will take care of the rest.

Good morning Mary. Thank you for sharing and being open about what the Lord is doing in and through you. Walking by faith is uncomfortable at times....the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We want to "see" just so we can be sure, but then we wouldn't be walking by faith.
