If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

I am so delighted I have taken this step to learn from both of you. I love the authentic humour that you bring to such a "tough" subject of 'speaking' or communicating. I love the Duchenne smile. In their heads people think they are smiling, but they are not. You can even feel their communicative energy when you photograph them. I was a portrait photographer for Carnival Cruise Liines for 3 contracts, taking 1500+ photos a day for 7 days cruises. It's a rare person these days that smile with their bodies. It took me, by joking and influencing them to bring it out. And time the camera shutter at the perfect moment (a split second after they laughed and not a moment more) before it was all gone, with the wind. And mind you, THEY were there on holiday, to have fun. (They're called, "The Fun Ships") A great photo has nothing to do with the camera or photographer. It has everything to do with communicating: living in the moment and the genuine feeling within the person on the other side of the camera and how quickly or easily they reflect their inner joy. That's why children, when they are happy, take the best photos.

I really loved and enjoyed this video! Can you please make a video about how to be a good storyteller? Also a video on how to authentically share something personal or vulnerable with others. I think it's cool you've been able to learn through teaching. Your videos are a great representation of your self growth. Loved the notion of going back to being a student again. Have you thought of making a few videos about your experiences out camping? Loved the stars long exposure, campfire meals and setting up tent footage. Even the boiling water was cool. I love your longer videos, I feel like I get whiplash trying to learn from shorts.

@@@@Did you know?? if you turn the opposite direction the same amount of spins everything will go back to normal. This is due to your vestibular system "the inner ear" thats how we maintain our balance. Inside the inner ear you'll find a labyrinthian structure which contain three semicircular canals that are arranged in right angles of each other so that each of these canals can individually senses movement along 3 axes. Now, these canals are filled with a fluid called \endolymph/which sloshes around when our body is in motion. So when we spin, it spins too, but, when we stop spinning abruptly the fluid continues spinning due to inertia. This then stimulates these little tiny hairs that send signals through your nervous system to tell your brain that your spinning.

I think it might be easier to eliminate non-words (umm,.aah, aha, uh, etc) and filler-words (you know, like, etc) in a presentation, but how about eliminating them in a regular conversation? I find that to be a lot more challenging. Do you have any tips on eliminating non-words, and filler-words from regular conversation?

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
01:06 🗣️ Remove auditory clutter, such as non-words and filler words, to enhance communication clarity and credibility.
02:52 🤝 Removing verbal clutter transforms how people perceive you, as demonstrated by a student example.
03:53 🙅‍♂️ Remove visual clutter, like excessive hand movements, as it can distract from your message and undermine your authority.
06:22 🤔 Making small changes to body language can significantly impact how others perceive your message.
09:24 😃 Smile sincerely with a "duchenne smile" to convey authenticity and happiness in your communication, rather than using fake smiles.

    Tempo is important
Viet speak with fast tempo so when they speak English they follow the same trends
You have a good tempo and you pronounce clearly every single word.
Viet had several tones but less intonations.
English has intonations within a word and within a sentence.
Love your work - hope one day our path will cross!

    • @imgeceren
      @imgeceren 14 днів тому

He mentions some tips in other videos in this or other contexts:
      - prepare/master it, yes 👌
      - take time before you speak to organise your thoughts
      - hence, don't be scared of silence (seriously, instead of 'uhm' and 'well's interrupting a speech, a silence is much nicer)
      - practice: record and listen back to yourself; just being aware of them makes a big difference
      - take a book and read aloud for five minutes (if it's in your second language and you exaggerate your mouth movements, you can practice articulation too)
      - rinse and repeat

    Hi Vinh,
    Q. What tips would you give to a person who naturally has a low voice and being too loud hurts.. I deliver lectures and usually my voice reaches everyone and students listen because they respect me but sometimes when they start talking I lose authority.

In my field, I need to explain complex topics to customers that they are not familiar with.
I feel like some important points are: Understand what I am talking about, so much, that I could explain it to a child.
An empathetic approach to the conversation, picture myself on their side listening to me, to find what they want. What words they want to hear.

I have few questions hope you can answer them ( pls answer them😢😅)
1 . How to stop yourself from over sharing?
( I tend to socialise and I don't really over share things ,but later i regret)
    2. How to get attention of everyone in a group?
( I think that maybe I should say aloud but still my friend talk in same tone too but when I talk only few maybe one😢 is listening 😢)
    3. How to talk with someone elder than you ?
(Like people from middle age or your grandparents what topics should I choose except asking them about there teenage life)
This is last one trust me 😂
    4. What to do when elder starts to judge you ?
    (Typical Asian things 😂)

This is sheer brilliance. I read a book with similar content, and it was sheer brilliance. "The Art of Meaningful Relationships in the 21st Century" by Leo Flint
